TODAY'S INSPIRATIONAL “MYTHOLOGICAL MAGIC”

As many of you daily followers of my daily blog, I'm sure you have noticed that several days have been torn from the year's recent October calendar without a new post being churned out by yours truly.  And to quote the great prophet “Forrest Gump” sometimes in life SHIT HAPPENS.  To ALL OF US.  I know there some of you out there who believe that a life dedicated to spiritual service and dedicate perseverance to service somehow shields us ‘Lightworkers’ from the daily chaos and travesties of this Journey called life.  And to that I say perception is vision through fractured glasses, offering only a glimpse of the entire framework of any situation we decide to investigate more clearly.  In fact I have actually found that many of those who dedicate their life purpose to one of a calling toward service are often hit the hardest with various trials and tribulations of one form or another.  Many of us get our PHD's in pain and suffering so that we may Re-member and grasp the tools of wisdom, compassion, and understanding to assist others who are still stuck in their own darkness, once we have found a way out of our own.  

Through patience and time, we learn not to curse these times of agony and confusion, but rather see them for what they truly are and why they are showing up in our lives.   And eventually we assign them as BLESSONS.  That being Lesson's of Re-membrance that bring with them a gift of a BLESSING that far outweighs the pain of the lesson that has been brought into our experience.  I think coaches and spiritual teachers would offer great insight and commiseration if they were vulnerable enough to share their own BLESSONS with their TRIBE so that others can see that WE ARE ALL ONE and go through a very similar Hero's/Heroine's Journey!  In this way, we can ALL become beacons of support, LOVE and Re-membrance for each other, ALWAYS and in All Ways!

So on that note, I would like to share with you my past five days.  What started as a terrific five day trip to NY turned into a complete and utter nightmare as on the last day of my trip, a storm of monsoon proportions hit the city.  And lacking my better sensibilities about preparing for such an event, I came completely unprepared for the deluge of a storm that would engage me for the entire day of this fateful Friday.  You see, when it rains that hard in NY, it becomes nearly impossible to catch a cab.  So was forward to walk for miles from my hotel room to my NY based office and became completely drenched in  50 degree stinging downpour of rain as I headed into work.  I truly think when I walked through the door, my co-workers didn't know whether to laugh, help fry me off, or take me to a local shelter.  LOL

Unfortunately, I only had one meeting that day, and it was with a good friend who took my appearance with a kind grace and understanding.  I'm not as sure how the person who had to take the seat after I was finished using it felt as he/she obviously sat down to soaked seat that would have drenched whatever fine couture they had fancied for the day.  Se la vie!!

At 3 in the afternoon, I had to make the two mile walk back to my hotel to check out and grab all my luggage to head to the amtrak station at Madison Square Garden.  And once again, became drenched with pellets of a rain that was intent on making us mere mortals were fully aware of our place in the Universe!  LOL

I FINALLY made it to the train station completely soaked with my four piece of luggage still in tow and made the nearly 4 hour train trip back to the Washington DC Metro Station.  I had prearranged plans to be picked up by my mother at 9:00 PM.  However upon arriving at my Metro drop off station, she was nowhere to be found.  I called her on her cell, and she was completely lost.  Now it was still absolutely pouring buckets of stinging raindrops outside and I stood out in the road next to the Kiss and Ride section of the station, all in the hopes that she might take the right turn and find me.  After 45 minutes of this insanity, I decided to go ahead and hail a cab.  And while I made the 5 mile trek back to my home safe and sound, my brand new iPhone did not.  I LEFT IT IN THE CAB!!!
And I had just purchased it brand new less than a month before.   

Needless to say, Spent the net few hours calling every cab company in town, including the one from my receipt to try and retrieve what had in today's age become our lifeline to the world.  EVERYTHING was on that phone!!  

At 3 PM the following day, I finally got the call from the cab driver that he did nit find the phone is his cab, and that obviously someone had taken it home as their new man toy!  Yeah for me.....  

I called Apple to have the phone instantly disabled but also got the bad news I was lamenting for the previous 24 hours since I noticed it missing.   I would have to pay off the phone I had just leased, and then if I wanted to keep my same number, purchase  a brand new phone to replace the one that was lost.  And get this, Apple Care, DOES NOT COVER THEFT OR LOSS OF A PHONE.  FYI!!
That meant I was going to have to pay close to $1,500 in order to get a replacement phone and keep my same number.   

And if that wasn't bad enough, on the way to the iPhone store, my car's front axil began to shake uncontrollably.  Which I had seen twice with friends cars.  I was most likely going to need a brand new from axil at the tune of $1K plus.   You can't make this stuff up!!   Believe me, I have tried...lol

Needless to say, I was completely frustrated and befuddled!  Angry and hurt!  And ya know what, that is completely OK.  As I love to say, repressed emotions are unactualized spiritual lessons; just DO NOT make a Broadway Show our of it!!  Because nobody wants to buy a ticket to s show they have seen one too many times.

My point in sharing this story with all of you is to let you know that YOU ARE NOT ALONE!  And that sometimes things completely beyond our control manifest into our lives. 
I truly believe that the ONE distinct difference between those of us who THRIVE versus just COPE through Life's Journey are the ones who can  keep their Hope, Belief, and Faith in the process of our own Hero's/Heroine's Journey!  And never lose the understanding that every setback in our life, comes with it the seed of an equal or GREATER opportunity.  We just must trust in that fact and NEVER keep searching for what the opportunity is! 

For as Neale Donald Walsh says in his wonderful series of books ‘Conversations with God’, “ I can promise you only this, I bring you nothing but angels.”

Because looking back on the cacophony of incredibly painful and challenging times of my life, I have eventually found the perfectly formed pearl that represents the astounding gift that that event brought into my experience.  And once we make sense of our pain, LIFE TRULY BEGINS!!

Did You Know Your BELIEFS Are More POWERFUL Than Your THOUGHTS?!?!?

TODAY'S INSPIRATIONAL “MYTHOLOGICAL MAGIC”

I was recently working with a client who was, to say the least, completely frustrated and utterly confused.   She was doing what she THOUGHT were all the ‘right’ things to try and improve certain areas of her life.  Yet it seemed that instead of experiencing the changes she desired, she was manifesting complete CHAOS.  After several minutes attempting to calm her down back into a space of peaceful alignment so that our session could continue in a productive manner, I decided this was a job for the my inner SuperHero ‘The Connoisseur of Consciousness’.  You see, the true skill of coaching is in the subtle art of figuring out where the TRUE block of the client resides.  Sometimes, this comes after one session and becomes quite obvious with divine, heartfelt listening.  Now on other occasions, it's kinda like being a crime detective worthy of a Sherlock Holmes type prowess. 
And after only 15 minutes, I knew this was going to be much more like the latter!  lol

Some clients can be quite tricky and mercurial to try and coach, because they have a way of being very persuasive with their vernacular.  They come across as quite confident and self aware with pat statements that they THINK  display that they have things under control and that it is the cursed people, places, and things OUT THERE that are the cause of all their pain and suffering.  Refusal of self responsibility for any of their current life ‘predicaments’ is one sure sign that they are out of alignment in some foundational manner.  Of course, trying to break through their level of self refusal takes patience, compassion, with a huge helping side of intuitive knowhow.  And trust me, sometimes you just don't KNOW HOW you are going to find out where this misalignment reside.  ;0)

Most of us spend our energy living ‘within the shadows.’  Caught up in the drama of the darkness rather than moving toward the direction of the actual obstacle that is BLOCKING THE LIGHT in the first place.  For those of you who just can't grasp the true value of having a life coach, hopefully this helps explain the miracles that a co-creation with the right qualified coach can bring.  We help our clients in finding that obstacle to “let the Sunshine in, and face it with a grin!” (For your Flintstones fans! ) ;0)

During our third session, I noticed something quite contradictory in nature.  My client would say what she desired with a fervent passion.  Only to back up the statement with something that COMPLETELY contradicted what she wanted!  For instance, after saying she really wanted to find a new career, it was quickly followed with something like “Most companies are greedy and don't care about their people so I am being extra picky!”  And she wonders why the numerous resumes she has been sending out have been met with two results.  One being that she hears nothing back from them.  Or even worse, she lands an interview, and sure enough, the experience turns out to be caustic and off putting.  Same thing with her diatribes about relationships.  For each declaration of “I would love to find someone to settle down with, and be a true partner”,  it was soon followed by “But most men can't be trusted and lie and cheat!”  AYE DIOS MIO!!  Can you imagine how stressed out her spirit guides must be!  No doubt they have perhaps requested a reassignment from time to time.   LOL

I bring this up NOT to place any sense of judgment on the client, only to use it as a TEXTBOOK example of how what we BELIEVE actually creates a much more POWERFUL energetic vibration than what we think or even say.  Just as the conscious mind is the source of thought, the subconscious mind is the SOURCE of our true POWER of manifestation.  It is deeply and profoundly rooted in instinct, and it is aware of the most basic and extraordinary desires within us all.  It is a POWERHOUSE through which the most incredible amount of SOURCE can be connected with.  And it is within our SUBCONSCIOUS that we store our actual BELIEFS!

Basically, we can think one thing, and do another that matches that thought, BUT if our BELIEFS about what we are saying and doing contradict the intended outcome, well, that's the space in which CHAOS rules.  I love this quote from the sensational book ‘The Power of Believing’ by Nido Qubein, when he states, “Therefore visualize the exact thing(job, relationship, home etc) you desire and use daily affirmations until BELIEF in your goal becomes a vital part of you and your body.  See yourself actually doing the things or experiencing the people you desire, because every thought, backed by an equal BELIEF in that thought sooner or later materializes it into your life.”

It's really all about BEING in alignment.  I have a suspecting intuition that if you truly start to check in within yourself several times a day, many of you will realize that what you think, say, do and BELIEVE are not in alignment with one another.  One, two, or more of these things are not congruent with the WHOLE!  And all that gets you is a whole lotta frustration, chaos and disappointment.  

So I urge you to think about the principles I have explained in today's post, and be honest with yourself.  RE-member, your outer experiences are a direct reflection of you inner reality.  Basically speaking, you cannot lie to the UNIVERSE.  It knows what you truly think and what you BELIEVE and will deliver to you the exact order you are putting in to the Wisdom Waiter always at your side!
So before you scream, “EXCUSE ME GOD, BUT I DID NOT ORDER THAT!”, Re-member that based on your BELIEFS, you actually did!!

Megan: I think you’re ready now to hear a little story about a girl…girl named Megan. Girl named Megan that didn’t have a very good time in high school. I’m referring to myself. When I say Megan, it’s me Megan.
Annie: Yeah, I got it.
Megan: I know you look at me now and think, boy she must have breezed through high school. Not the case, Annie.
[pointing to herself]
Megan: No, this was not easy going up and down the halls. Okay? They used to try to blow me up. They threw fire crackers at my head. Fire crackers. I mean literally. I’m not saying that figuratively. I got fire crackers thrown at my head. They called me a freak. Do you think I let that break me? Think I went home to my mommy crying; ‘Oh, I don’t have any friends. Oh, Megan doesn’t have any friends.’ No, I did not. You know what I did? I pulled myself up. I studied really hard. I read every book in the library and now I work for the government. I have the highest possible security clearance. Don’t repeat that!

Megan: You lost Lillian. You got another best friend sittin’ right in front of you, if you’d notice! Huh? You can stop feeling sorry for yourself, okay? Cause I do not associate with people that blame the world for their problems. Cause you’re your problem, Annie. And you’re also your solution. Right? I mean that’s…you get that?

A long time friend and former boss of mine recently sent me a story about the life of an EAGLE.  At first glance, I thought to engage the information later, thinking perhaps its content was of a National Geographic Nature.  For those of you living in the greater DC area, you will recall the ‘Eagle Cam’ that ran non-stop on our local airwaves just a few weeks ago.  A camera was fixated (as were thousands of us) on an Eagle who was nesting waiting for her two eggs to hatch.  This did NOT always make for reviting TV viewing, but once the baby birds finally hatched, it was quite magical to get a secret peek into the inner lives of these majestic animals!

But I got another one of those ‘Silent Whispers’ from Spirit to watch the video she sent, right then and  there.  And so I pushed the play button and became completely transfixed on what this five minute feature shared about our National bird symbol.  In fact, I actually teared up watching and listening to how this proud and courageous animal must painfully transform itself in order to survive!

An Eagle lives on average of  70 years.  But during its 40th year, it is faced with a decision that will determine its ultimate fate.    After 40 years of using its powerful beak, strong talons, and majestic wings for its survival, they all start to wear down.  In fact, all three begin to break down to a level in which they are no longer of use to the bird to capture its prey to eat, nor fly in a proficient enough manner to survive the harsh elements in which it lives.  It is at this time the Eagle knows it has but two decision to choose from.  It can either fly to the top of a rocky mountaintop and bang its beak and talons across the sharp and rugged rock terrain long and hard enough until they break off.  The bird is internally aware that its beak and talons will grow back much stronger, but the process involved in tearing off parts of its own body is a horrifyingly painful experience.  And if that isn't enough to cause you to pause and think about this bird's courage, once its beak grows back, it must pluck out its worn out feathers so that new, stronger ones can take their place.  If the Eagle makes the decision to put itself through this jarring and excruciating experience, it will typically live for another 30 years!   It is literally REBIRTHED into a greater version of itself!  If it chooses NOT to go through this challenging transformation, it will soon die.

I thought about how an Eagle's life is such a perfect metaphor for human existence and survival.  How often we are given an opportunity to either change our mindset, belief system, or completely let go of someone we love, all for our better good.  And with it comes the transformation we so often desperately seek.  

And more importantly, how Nature gives us signs, and PROFOUND examples of how to live our lives.   I often hear from friends and my clients that they wish that they were given a guidebook on how to live a prosperous life.  And see how much fear they face, all understandable, when facing the painful choice of change.  Not to mention how challenging it can be to remain FAITHFUL when we are in the middle of a Life Storm.  And sometimes cannot fathom why they/we need to experience such pain and suffering, both physically and emotionally.  That's why I say SUFFERING is really Summoning our Ultimate Fear & Frailty Encouraging Rebirth!  Just like we are taught by the miraculous story of the EAGLE!

It is my hope and intention in sharing this story, that it will bring you a sense of inspiration and KNOWINGNESS that at the other end of whatever level of trials and tribulations, pain and suffering you may be going through, that it is because a miracle is looking to be birthed through you!  The Universe needs you to transform and let go of toxic energy and mindsets and belief systems that no longer serve you.  All so that you, like the EAGLE can be resurrected and reconnect to your Purpose as you travel along your Hero's/Heroine's Journey!!

Are Your PRAYERS Full of Their True POWER And POTENTIAL..?!?!?

TODAY'S INSPIRATIONAL “MYTHOLOGICAL MAGIC”

When I was growing up, a part of my nightly ritual was saying my prayers right before going to bed. And as I now look back with the 20/20 vision of pure hindsight as my guide, I can see the Gi-normous difference in the energy that was behind the words uttered all those thousands of nights ago versus how I pray today!  While I do not believe in right versus wrong, or  in advocating the manner in which anyone chooses to connect with their own sense of Godliness, I have Re-membered through the guidance of many mentors, teachers, and coaches some sage suggestions regarding the manner in which to pray! 

Many of us (myself included back in the day) see the act of praying as a way of asking for that which we DESIRE or hope to bring into our experience.  Be it money, a job, a partner, and often God's healing hands to bring the ending of pain, suffering, or dis-ease to ourselves or those that we LOVE.  Seemingly, prayer becomes something akin to a Universal ‘Wish List’ for a SOURCE (God, Spirit, Infinite Intelligence ) to fulfill at our command.  And I DO NOT use the word WISH lightly in the previous sentence.  As in, wishful thinking or wishing that all of our dreams come true.  As we all now know, everything is made up of energy.  Including our prayers.  Especially our prayers.  And I truly believe that using prayer with any sense of wishful energy behind it is No Thing less than a POOR PRAYER!  

Prayer is perhaps the most potent and powerful ally that we have in this illusional plane of existence. And too many of us are not taking full advantage of its power of TRANSFORMATION!!  You must Re-member that YOU ARE A CHILD OF GOD!!  A perfectly unique emanation of Godly LOVE and energy that is cherished beyond your comprehension.  And that life is actually rigged in your favor.  I know, I know, it often appears as though the complete opposite were true!  For years, I felt like the Universe forgot who I was, where I lived, and what I desired.  I refused to even utter the words, “Well at least it can't get any worse than THIS!”  Because quite often, IT DID!!  But through my many years of self transformational work and study, I have come to understand that one CORE issue that was at the root cause of my devastating frustration was the manner in which I prayed.  

My prayers used to be filled with anxious energy and a sense of urgency that was completely antithetical to what I was trying to obtain.  Not unlike a child who writes his wish list to Santa every year, and then rushes down the stairs on Christmas morning hoping that what they wrote down on that piece of paper was siting under the tree.  

My prayers look and sound much differently now.  Where before I would ask God for what I desired, often feeling afterward like I wasn't even completely worthy of it.  Another perfect example of POOR PRAYING!!  I have found the act of prayer to be most effective when it is used as an act of GRATITUDE and THANKS.  This Universe and all of the LOVE that created it desires only for all of us to have the  grandest experiences of our heartfelt desires being met and fulfilled!  So when we come to God/Spirit with a prayer, I highly suggest it is fully ensconced with a steely energy of certainty and knowingness that it will be granted.  A prayer is the ultimate THANK YOU note you will ever write or say to anyone!!  It is your personal connection with an unlimited amount of pure LOVE that governs the Universe.  Prayer is greatly weakened when it is filled with wishful thinking and ANY sense of doubt about its ability to manifest into your experience.  It is an eternal handshake with the Universe that ‘As you ASK, so shall you RECEIVE.’  And so it is!!

Please Re-member however, that what we desire and seek in our lives, is often NOT wrapped in the packaging that we have held in our mind's eye when it is delivered.  So be sure to leave plenty of room for Spirit to work its magic within your own life when you pray.  Trust me, God knows and understands what is in our best interest far better than we do!  How often have you looked back on your own life and been actually thankful that what you asked for didn't come your way or stay in your life?!?  Yet something even grander and more DIVINE did in its place?!  That is exactly what I am referring to when I say don't always judge a book by its preverbal cover.  

I would like to leave you with what a typical prayer looks like for me nowadays.  Not for you to copy or imitate, but to further help you Re-member the energetic resonance that makes full use of the true power of prayer!!

Dear God, as I KNOW you to be the source of all that is, I would like to say Thank You for already starting the process of bringing the exact people , places, and experiences into my life that will allow me to continue to be of service to all those still living in the darkness of their own Soul.  For I believe that before my words were even uttered, you began this miraculous process of knowingness into my existence.  I trust that you can see within my heart so deep, that you have already started sending the perfect versions of that which will be for the Highest Good of all concerned into all of my daily co-creations!  God, my dreams are big, however I know that the vision you hold for me is even bigger and grander than what I can even imagine!  And that I need only to ALLOW the abundance waiting for me to flow into my life in a perfect and divine time and manner.  I understand that some of these miracles may be challenging, but will Re-member they were brought to me for my own Hero's Journey!   And so it is..........

The Story Of THE LITTLE SOUL.............

Back in 1996, I was caught in the middle of an incredibly vitriolic and spiteful business relationship that nearly cost me my life.  I had only been out of college for a couple of years and still finding my way in the wild and at the time wonderful world of television broadcasting.  After a two year stint working for WRC-TV (NBC-Washington, DC) as a sports producer for the ‘George Michael Sports Machine’, I decided that 80 hour work weeks and Holidays spent behind closed doors editing video tapes of college football games while chowing down on what I THINK was cold turkey and stuffing was not the things my dreams were made of!  

So I landed a job for a local TV production company in the suburbs of DC.  They produced a local half hour business program(that I shall refrain from naming for legal purposes) that promoted up and coming tech companies in the DMV area.  The first year was a total BLAST!  Here I was 24 years old, holding meetings with the likes of Steve Case of AOL, and Larry Ellison of Oracle.   This is when the technology revolution was in its infant stage, and simply being around the icons who were prescient enough to see the future was mind blowing!  And in the process I definitely got my MBA at the University of MIH- MAKE IT HAPPEN!  LOL  

During the second year of employment, my boss and then close friend asked me to relocate to San Francisco to start a West Coast version of the show in Silicon Valley, where most of the most influential tech companies were setting up shop.  I had been itching to to get back to the West Coast (I was born in LA) for years and jumped at the opportunity.  And for the first four months, I woke up every morning thinking I was in some sort of duplicate Universe where dreams ALWAYS come true. It was the Land of OZ for the tech set!   I had daily meetings with the CEO's of companies like Sun Microsystems, Yahoo, and Oracle.  Although I sometimes felt out of my league, I NEVER let em see me sweat.  And they accepted me as one of their own.  Meetings by day and parties at night, all in one of the most beautiful and eclectic cities in the world!  I was truly a STARGAZER collecting information and memories of a lifetime.  

And then, one October morning in 1996, I got an email from one of the companies I had met with the previous week.  They were calling me a fraud because I had told them that the sponsors of the show which was to air on the local ABC affiliate were The Wall Street Journal and Dunn and Bradstreet.  The company had connections at both companies and they claimed they were in no way affiliated with the show.  While reading the email, my heart began to pound arrhytmically!  I started having a minor panic attack.  They were threatening to send a letter to every tech company in San Francisco telling them that I was running a scam and to not accept meetings with me.  

I immediately called my boss back in Virginia to try and straighten out this unbelievable mess!  After all, he was the one who told me that those two entities were the sponsors of the show.  I was only repeating the information given to me by him and our company.  After an explicit tirade he fired me on the spot and told me I had 24 hours to vacate the apartment he had set up for me and the rest of the crew.  Needless to say, I was shell shocked.  What the HELL was going on, I thought.  

After having no other choice than to hire a lawyer, the TRUTH slowly unfolded like a guilty lover hiding his dalliances with the utmost discretion.  My boss had lied about the sponsors singing on to the show.  In his infinite wisdom, he believed he could get REAL sponsors signed onto the show before anyone found out.  In the meantime, I was the companies face man out on the West Coast.  The waiter serving food that had been screwed up by the cooks in the proverbial company kitchen.
To save his own ass, he blamed me for all the confusion and sent me to the awaiting wolves.

When I was fired I lost my health insurance and the massive amount of stress over the possibility that my reputation in the tech community was ruined, caused my Crohn's disease to spiral completely out of control.  By the time I was actually able to obtain decent health care, my doctors said my colon was so diseased that it was about to perforate.  Which meant, instant death.  I had lost an enormous amount of weight under the pressure of the previous few moths and was actually too weak for the 12 hour surgery to have my colon removed.  But after a long chat with my doctor, I decided to take the risk of having the operation rather than waiting to regain enough weight and strength before going under the knife.  

The memories of the whole surgery and the almost 16 month recovery is still haunting to my soul.  It was excrutiating in ways human beings should never have to suffer.  And let's say that wearing a colostomy bag at age 27 is not exactly a hit with the ladies!  lol  Even though it was hidden underneath my t-shirts, every time I passed gas, the bag blew up like a balloon, scaring the shit out of anyone in arms distance of me.  Yeah, that's how I rolled!   :0)

While recovering from this nightmarish ordeal, you can only imagine the amount of anger and frustration I had toward my former friend and boss.  He went so far as to forbid ANYONE in the company to visit me while I was in the hospital.  There were days and nights in which I absolutely fantasized about ripping all the tubes from the hospital machines from my body and taking a taxi to his house to ummmmmmm...have a little chat!  With my fists acting as compassionate truth seekers!

I held onto that anger and pain of betrayal for quite a while.  In fact, at times it consumed my every thought.  Ironically enough, it was during this time that my current path of self realization started to take its core form.  While still in the hospital, a friend of mine gave me a book called ‘The Celestine Prophecy’, and I for the first time in my life I felt like I was home. A few weeks later i was finally released from the hospital and went straight to the nearest Barnes and Noble with that book firmly in hand.

I excitedly asked the nearest store clerk where this book could be found in the store.  And within a few yards, I was in a row that felt like Conscious Christmas land.  Books after books of like energy to   the one I had carried into the store.  I bought about twenty of them and stormed back to my car to get home as fast as I could to begin what I know now to be the start of my own Hero's Journey.

The first book I read is still today the most influential on my own personal resonance with the world of spiritual truth and Universal Law that felt like TRUTH to me.  The book's title was ‘Conversations with God’ by Neale Donald Walsh.  Page after page was filled with wisdom and knowledge that fed my soul and strengthened my faith!  This was as close to feeling Heaven on Earth as I had ever felt!

And then something that transformed my understanding of human interaction occurred when I got to the section where Mr. Walsh told the story of The Little Soul.  And that parable struck a cord so deep within my consciousness that it still informs my daily interactions nearly twenty years after reading it.  Here is the excerpt from the book itself:

There once was a little soul who knew itself to be the light.  This  was a new soul, and so, anxious for experience. "I am the light,"  it said. "I am the light." Yet all the knowing of it and all the saying of it could not substitute for the experience of it. And in the realm from which this soul emerged, there was nothing but the light.

 Every soul was grand, every soul was magnificent, and every soul shone with the brilliance of MY awesome light. And so the little soul in question was as a candle in the sun. In the midst of the grandest light- of which it was a part- it could not see itself, nor experience itself as Who and What it Really Is.

Now it came to pass, that the little soul yearned and yearned to know itself. And so great was its yearning that "I" one day said, "Do you know little one, what you must do to satisfy this yearning of yours?" "Oh what, God? what? I'll do anything!? The little soul said.

"You must separate yourself from the rest of us," I answered, "and then you must call upon yourself the darkness."

"You may choose to be any Part of God you wish to be," I said to the little soul.

"You are the Absolute Divinity, experiencing Itself. What Aspect of Divinity do you now wish to experience as you?"

"You mean I have a choice," asked the little soul.

I answered, "Yes." You may choose to experience any Aspect of Divinity in, as, and through you."

"Okay," said the little soul, then I choose forgiveness. I want to experience my Self as that Aspect of God called Complete Forgiveness."

Well, this created a little challenge, as you can imagine. 

There was no one to forgive. All I have created is Perfection and Love

"No one to forgive?" asked the Little Soul, somewhat incredulously.

"No one," I repeated. "Look around you. Do you see any souls less perfect, less wonderful than you?"

As the Little soul twirled around, and was surprised to see himself surrounded by all the souls in heaven. They came from far and wide throughout the Kingdom, because they had heard the little soul was having an extraordinary conversation with God.

"I see none less perfect than I," the Little Soul exclaimed." Who then, shall I have to forgive?"

Just then another soul stepped forward from the back of the crowd. "You may forgive me," said the Friendly Soul.

"For what?" the little soul asked.

"I will come onto your next physical lifetime and do something for you to forgive," replied the Friendly Soul.

"But what? What could you, a being of such Perfect Light, do to  make me forgive you?" the Little Soul wanted to know.

"Oh," smiled the Friendly Soul, I'm sure we can think of

something."

"But why would you want to do this?" The Little Soul could not figure out why a being of such perfection would want to slow down its vibration so much that it could actually do something "bad."

"Simple," the Friendly Soul explained," I would do it because I love you. You want to experience your Self as Forgiving, don't you? Besides, you have done the same for me."

"I have?" asked the Little Soul.

"Of course. Don't you remember? We've been All Of It, you and I.

 We've been the Up and the Down of it, and the Left and Right of it.

 We've been the Here and Now of it, and the Now and Then of it.

 We've  been the Big and Small of it, the Male and Female of it, the Good and Bad of it. We've been the All of it.

"And we've done it by agreement, so that each of us might experience ourselves as The Grandest Part of God. For we have understood that.....

"In the absence of that which You Are Not, that Which You Are, is NOT.

"In the absence of 'cold,' you cannot be 'warm.' In the absence of 'sad,' you cannot be 'happy,' without a thing called 'evil,' the experience you call 'good' cannot exist.

If you choose to be a thing, something or someone opposite to that has to show up somewhere in your universe to make that possible."

The Friendly Soul then explained that those people are God's Special Angels, and these conditions God's Gifts.

"I ask only one thing in return, " the Friendly Soul declared.

"Anything! Anything," the Little Soul cried. He was excited now to know that he could experience every Divine Aspect of God. He understood, now The Plan.

"In the moment that I strike you and smite you," said the Friendly Soul, " in the moment that I do the worst to you that you could ever  imagine---in that self-same moment....remember Who I Really Am. For I will have forgotten."

"Oh, I won't forget!" promised the Little Soul. "I will see you in the perfection with which I hold you now, and I will remember Who You Are, always."

And that is why Jesus the Christ, on the cross, looked to the prisoners also being crucified to his left and right and looked to the sky and said to SPIRIT, “Forgive them father, for they know Not what they do.”

That parable created a wave of conscious sensation that removed the veil of illusion from my shortsighted emotions toward my former friend and boss almost instantaneously.  He had given me an opportunity to learn the true and authentic power of FORGIVENESS.  And from that moment on, I decided to hold a space of LOVE and LIGHT for him for as long as I lived. 

In what way does this story touch your feelings about the possible intentions behind the actions and words of those who have hurt or wronged you on your path?  Could it be that there is someone in your past or even in your life currently who stepped up on YOUR behalf to allow you the exact experience you chose to have on your Journey?!  And more importantly, have you remembered WHO THEY TRULY ARE when they caused you that strife and pain, because they chose to forget themselves as the ultimate gesture of Love and Compassion? !  

It might be something worth pondering  as you continue on your path and purpose!  I know it has saved me an enormous amount of resentment, pain and suffering.  And my wish is that it does the same for you......

The IMPORTANCE Of Turning Our Mistakes Into MISSTEPS..!!!

TODAY'S INSPIRATIONAL “MYTHOLOGICAL MAGIC”

In a recent post, I wrote about the gift of receiving a DO OVER from the Universe.  If you haven't had the chance to read it as of yet, I suggest doing so before continuing with today's entry.  Typically, the reason we are given these opportunities are to learn from our ‘mistakes’ so that we can move forward with a renewed sense of purpose and understanding.  However,    for many of us, we are forced to face a series of DO OVERS that could have been superceded had we not been so wary of making the same ‘mistake’ over again.  It can paralyze us with fear and anxiety.  Stop us cold in our tracks from making authentic choices with the limiting beliefs that we are somehow JUST NOT GOOD ENOUGH to make better choices this time around.  Life is just too damn short to spend too much of it in a vortex of resimulated patterns of circumstances and experiences until we receive the understanding and Re-membrance they were presented for us to grasp.  I have seen too many precious Souls with so much potential who waste great periods of their life paralyzed with fear and worry, too afraid they may make a ‘mistake’ and screw things up, yet again, rather than reframing their past actions as NO THING less than MISSTEPS along their Journey.

So what exactly is the difference between a MISTAKE and a MISSTEP?  A Misstep is when you take an action that is not of the highest choice for the given situation you happen to find yourself in.  But, RELAX, because that is precisely how we learn. And it is proof that you moved past your fear and gave something a TRY!    In fact most Missteps are unavoidable because we have never been in that particular set of circumstances before.  As the saying goes, “Life is 10% what happens, and 90% the way we show up in its wake to handle it.”  A MISTAKE can only occur when we make the same MISSTEP over and over again with no course correction.  Most of the time this is caused by the EGO, which either cases us to beat ourselves up or  refuse to take any responsibility for the action in the first place.  It causes energy of self-judgement and fear.

But we live in a society that demands perfection.  I recently had a rundown of my Godson's nightly homework assignments (He is only 10) and I needed a drink just to contemplate how such a young lad could handle such a massive amount of information!  Aye dios mio!!  We are taught at a young age the importance of ‘being right’ and social media has made it critical for us to show the world a persona sans any signs of imperfection!  

But as the great master teacher Yoda says, “If no mistakes are you making, another game should you be playing.”  And he is so right!  In fact, most of the world's great visionaries used this reframing to their great advantage.  Take Thomas Edison for instance.  He tried to make that bulb in his office light  so bright from electricity over 2,000 different times.  Yet, he refused to ever say he made a mistake.  Instead, he reframed these attempts as missteps, each one actually a revolutionary success.  Because each time the bulb failed to light, he knew he had discovered a way that electricity would NOT WORK!   How many of us would have gotten frustrated, embarrased, or fearful that we would never succeed in the endeavour if we were in his set of DO OVERS?!  My hand is up in the air, is yours?!  lol

As long as we learn from them, mistakes don't even exist.  Harold J. Smith said it best when he declared, “More people would learn from their mistakes if they weren't too busy denying them.”  Amen!  I believe your best teacher is your last MISSTEP!  If you take the time to listen, and learn from what it taught you!

What pains my own Soul, is the thought of how many great works of art, poems, paintings, songs, architecture, books, and relationships NEVER came to be because  of those individuals whose fear of taking action steps kept them from ever completing their Hero's/Heroine's Journey!  It's absolutely sobering to contemplate!  If only they could have had the foresight to reframe any perceived MISTAKE as simply a MISSTEP on their path to soulful fulfillment. 

Please do not be one of the special Spirits who came here to bring their magnificent talents and gifts to share with the world only to become stifled for fear of making a MISTAKE along your Journey.  Instead, remember MISSTEPS are not only allowed, but essential for our learning process!    For you are a perfect emanation of God and as long as you stay aware, he will guide your MISSTEPS into the Re-membrace of why you came and the BLISS you are here to share!
