This past weekend, I was invited to a friends birthday party.  And while the food was Oh So YUMMY in my Tummy, little did I know that my dessert was going to be true FOOD FOR THE SOUL!  But as is most often the case, this God given gift did not come wrapped in the manner I would have originally envisioned!  Over time, this understanding has been very instrumental in me NOT missing out on the many treasures life brings into your daily experiences!!  

During dinner, a middle aged man filled his plate with the delightful offerings our gracious guests had prepared for the party minglers.  The only empty chair was beside me and so it is there that he took his place at the table.  Small talk quickly ensued and it soon veered into the territory of our current Health Care system here in the US.  Immediately, I ascertained that we had ----ummmm- diametrically opposed viewpoints on the topic.  (And I will humbly admit that given my own recent run ins with the process of obtaining affordable health care as a self employed person has given me a rather STRONG viewpoint on this situation)  

The clouds of a clash were drifting over the table, at which point I decided to use my tenet that...IT IS BETTER TO BE LOVING THAN TO BE RIGHT!!  So I took a few minutes to allow my slightly charged emotions to settle by delving into my plate of still warm and incredibly tasty delights.  

After both of our plates had been cleared by our gracious hosts, I got an INUITIVE HIT that there was a reason for us to be seated next to one another.  I consider my self both a teacher and a student and know that if given the chance, everyone that comes into my experience has something to share with me!  And this night would be yet another example of this understanding.   

For we began to strike up another conversation, but this time it was filled with mutual respect and a sincere willingness to connect with one another.  It's AMAZING how a simple shift in perspective toward non-judgement can create MIRACLES!   

Superhero's TIP:  Most conflict, resentment, and disconnection between two individuals and/or parties result from a much smaller varying viewpoint than you might imagine!  It's actually quite unfortunate to think of all the pain and suffering we inflict on one another over such a small variance in our BELIEFS!  The next time a possible nasty fight or powerfully charged disagreement is about to break out in your presence, PLEASE REMEMBER this fact. Trying your best to meet people HALFWAY is such a transformational practice!  Try it out and see for yourself.....   ;0)   Here's to killing 'em with KINDNESS......    ;0)

Ok....back to our Original Lineup of Programming for the post..........

As we peppered each other with questions about one another, I preceded to share with him my passioned belief that everyone is a SUPERHERO and that our Highest Calling was to BE of service to one another.   I KNOW that doesn't surprise anyone in The New Age Nerd tribe..Right?!  At last I sure hope not....   :0)

I could see the sharing of my own TRUTH opened up a doorway to something of a similar resonation that meant a great deal to his being.   He began to tell me a story about his father.  And his energy began to unfold and soften; more like a soothing nature actually.  You see his father had graduated from West Point.  And he had stayed in very close touch with one of his classmates throughout the many years since their time together at the military academy.  He said their bond was as close as being brothers from another mother!  

The years quickly passed by, yet their friendship always remained a constant and treasured gift in each of their lives.  But his father's buddy became diagnosed with the insidious disease of Alzheimers.  Yet his father stayed a constant and steadfast friend and companion.  Even after the disease had ravaged his friend's brain to the point at which he no longer recognized his father. But ya know what? His father continued his weekly visits.  In fact, he never let more than a week go by without stopping in to spend treasured time with his brother in arms!  

My new found friend continued that after several years, his father's dedication toward this CALLING began to be questioned from many people in his circle of friends.  "Why do you continue to visit your friend? He has absolutely NO IDEA who you even are anymore," many would question.

The answer his father would always give sent a Spirit filled shiver through my Being.  "But I KNOW who he is!"  I sat there for more than a few beats, my eyes completely locked with his. He had shared a piece of his SOUL with me.   And it was a MAGNIFICENT MOMENT; sacred and transcendent!  Because it is the accumulation of moments such as these that translates into life's greatest treasures.  TRULY PROFOUND CONNECTION!  Something that is so badly missing from our current collective of daily interactions.  

And I'm still not completely sure who benefited more from the sharing of this tale?!  Not that it even matters.  Because the super heroic lesson imprinted with me on that night is,  like all of the greatest teachers who have walked this Earth, one of the greatest gifts we can give one another is to LOVE EVERYONE as through they are INNOCENT- SANS JUDGEMENT!  It would have been so easy for me to forgo striking up another conversation with this gentleman after our first attempt ended in a small divide.   Yet.....I cannot fathom missing out on the gift we shared that magical evening by remembering........................ 

WE EVENTUALLY REMEMBERED WHO EACH OTHER WERE...........BECAUSE WE ARE ALL ONE!

BE Very CAREFUL Reading This POST....... One Wrong Move = GOTCHA !!

 

I live in Northern Virginia, just a half hour drive from our nations capitol, Washington DC.  Several years ago, we had a few consecutive weeks filled with a cacophony of defamations that temporarily shook this state for "LOVERS."  The Commonwealth was rocked with several political scandals that has chipped away at our collective consciousness.  From racially charged epithets to sexual misconduct allegations, we were exposed to the "underbelly of ugliness."  Forever being referred to as "Chaos in the Commonwealth."

The culmination of which is adding fresh fuel to a FIRE that has been growing for some time now.  Our zeitgeist has transformed into a "GOTCHA" mentality that is intent on destroying the foundational construct upon which this nation was founded!  Including the major principality and tenets that sprouted our own judicial system; being innocent until proven guilty. While these recent surprise dirty dispatches in Virginia have been of the political ilk, the nation has been exposed to such displays of often reckless assertations covering a kaleidoscope of behavior for quite some time.  From Matt Lauer, Billy Bush, Al Franken, Charlie Rose, James Gunn, Morgan Freeman, Richard Dreyfus, Megan Kelly, to film director Bryan Singer's (X-MEN Movies) next movie has been put on "hold" due to sexual allegation charges.  In fact, since former Miramax Head Harvey Weintstein was brought up on several charges of sexual misconduct back in 2016, the floodgates have been flabbergasted with a pastiche of all types of "charges" on a seemingly daily basis!

And lest us not forget (and how could we based on its permeation throughout every form of mass media the past six weeks) the Shakespearean level train wreck of the Johnny Depp V Amber Heard trial. Which broke almost every single mass media outlet's viewership record! We have become addicted to the fast twitch notions of a 'thumbs up or down' mentality. Based fastidiously on broken pieces of the truth that seep through all the muck we are forced fed in order to gain 'clicks' on various mass media platforms. 

Before I go any further.  PLEASE DO NOT MISUNDERSTAND ME!  I DO NOT CONDONE ANY FORM OF PHYSICAL, EMOTIONAL, SEXUAL, MENTAL, or SPIRITUAL BASED ABUSE!!  Such behaviors are reprehensible, completely unacceptable and beyond vile in nature.  And are antithetical to my own sensibilities; not to mention the core foundation of my life's CALLING.  Which is to BE of service to myself and all others through the energetic vibrational offering of LOVE!  From the focused intention of everything I think, say, and do; this "triple threat threesome" is the manner from which I teach/coach/mentor/guide others in remembering who they truly are.  I see each and every moment and co-creation as simply an opportunity to FOR-GIVE! (For-giving someone back to themselves.  As in helping them re-member that they are a spiritual being having a human experience.  NOT the other way around)  In its most simple context, that is what life is ALL about.  We are all a group of SUPERHEROES who I envision eventually joining together in unassuming unity to form The Legion of Love.  Our conscious collective is one "giant alarming clock."  We are all "COSMIC FIRST RESPONDERS" for the Grand ONEness!  Ready and waiting to be put into "Super Service" in the blink of a whispered wave from the Universe.  

When the student is ready, the teacher will indeed appear.  It's Universal Law.  And in most cases, the students of this particular Gargantuan Galactic Gameroom are ready when they have become "shaken and slightly stirred up" by LIFE; and are in a space of willingness and as my Gorgeous Goddess of a friend PK (please check out her Facebook site - Allthingspossible-  ASAP...  Thank me later)  would say, "INNERSTANDING",  that it's finally time to wake up from The Matrix.  Just as Morpheus "woke up" NEO from his deep slumber in the movie of the same name!  (Of course NEO is an acronym for The One.  Because we are ALL The ONE!)  

I dove down a little deep just now because my intention is for that discourse to underscore the message of today's post.  Once again, this "GOTCHA" collective mentality that is ripping at the wondrous woven tapestry we have concocted on this planet.  I'm trying to strike a delicate balance today because I do not desire to offend anyone on either side of this debate.  Tough for me on all fronts, because I do not believe in "right and wrong."  Only that which serves the Highest Good!  And my heaving heart is seeping out with compassion and forgiveness for both the accusers and the accused in every single one of these challenging situations.  Truly!  Because as I'm sure is the case for most of us, I have worn both sets of shoes in these struggles and KNOW first hand how each side feels. Tough stuff, trust me!

And it seems like our country is literally equally divided between two camps.  For instance, here in the Commonwealth of Virginia, during the Ralph Northam scandal, 47% of those polled said they believed our Governor should resign. (For his handling of the "black face-KKK picture" found in his old college year book)  Yet, another 47% thought he should finish out the rest of his three year term. It was literally a dead heat.  Amazing.  Yet, to me, it sheds a light on the REAL ISSUE that must be addressed. And that is the disconnection and near devilish division that is ravishing our society at large!  It's almost as if we are at constant odds with each other.  Just one "cutting in line" moment away from a verbal, or even worse, physical altercation.  And I say it's time for us all to take personal responsibility for what is playing out on the stage for all the Cosmos to see.  (And believe you me, they are all watching.  Just sayin'!)

We have co-created the "opportunity of a lifetime" in the very HERE AND NOW.  That's right.  Where there is a huge mess, there is the space to be heavenly blessed.  And aye dios mio; we have done a brilliant job of creating a mess.  Wouldn't you agree?!  The great news is that while it was very long in the making, transcending it can be near instantaneous.  For once again, a MIRACLE is simply a shift in perspective from fear back to LOVE.  So I have a question to ask all you franfrickin'tastic New Age Nerds.  Who is ready to start making some MIRACLES ... right NOW?  Yea!  I thought so.  Cause my Tribe rocks!  ;0)


SUPER HEROES IN TRAINING TAKEAWAYS:

I have a suggestion for all of you Spiritual Spinsters.  What would it feel like to stop with this space of snap judgment addiction we find ourSELVES to be resonating within?!  To judge in ANY form becomes a block of tangible resistance.  It actually blocks the flow of abundance not only into your life, but because YOU and the Universe are ONE, it also dams up the natural Universal flow of all blessings/gifts/desires into and out of our planet. I call this patterned behavior "BE'avering."  Because just like a beaver, you become quite proficient at building damaging dams that just gum up the natural order of things.  The freeing FLOW of the Universe both to and fro.  The exact opposite of what we came here to do!  We came here to help in expanding the Universe.  For that is the true nature of the entire Galaxy.  Because it has no limits or boundaries, the Universe always desires to "push the limits" and expansion is its board game of choice.  (ok...call me old school.  I still love board games.  )

And NO, Source does not like it when we play "the spiritual version" of the board game SORRY ! Which is kinda what oh so many of us are doing right now.  Resonating at a vibrational offering of illicitation that screams out, "SORRY.  But I/WE gotcha now.  Re-member that picture from long ago.  Or that tweet /Facebook post from 10 years past.  Or that 'encounter' with the ravishing young lady from 17 years ago.  Well, GOTCHA!  Sorry, but your life is ruined.  Next!!" UGH................

Again, I am NOT condoning any form of abuse.  EVER!! And I do believe it is necessary to have a set of socially acceptable standards/behaviors to adhere to; especially for those who wield great power.  I truly believe it would serve the highest good, for all of us to hold both ourSELVES and one another accountable to those set standards; in similar fashion as we do with our own set of healthy self loving and self respecting personal boundaries.  Both are of superior service to the Grand Creator herSELF!  

But the distinction here is the following.  And it is a very important one:

Starting in this very moment of NOW, let's start being Miracle Makin' Machines! 
And my suggestion in doing so is to transcend any form of thought vibration that contains even a hint of judgement, hate, fear and loathing, disconnection, or separation.  Let us STOP with the rash rushes towards snap judgments every time a new 'allegation' is dragged into the cultural consciousness.  As the great Martin Luther King Jr. always said, "Hate cannot drive out hate.  Only love can do that."  Amen!

Like anything meaningful and purposeful, it is a process.  Many of us have mental predispositions based on past experiences that still trigger us in the NOW.  And that is OK.  I get it.  However, once again, I pray you now see that every time you find yourSELF personally triggered by one of these allegations, it is a gi-normous opportunity for you to heal, grow, and transcend that trauma that still sees "separation."  Not only personal separation; as when you forget that you have a Super Heroic Higher Self.   That YOU and the Universe are indeed ONE.   But also separation from all others.  The "if I win, you lose" mind-set from EGO that has set its sails straight into the hearts and minds of the unconscious.  

That feeling that bubbles up during these times of trouble probably does not feel good.  Please re-member in that instant, of the glorious glow that is 'just beneath' that pain!  Waiting for you to receive the lesson so the lesion can clear away.  As spiritual teacher and coach Iyanla Vanzant says, "Pain means Pay Attention Inward Now."  What a novel and empowering idea!  Rather than wasting energy on vitriolic thoughts toward your fellow brothers and sisters, why not expend that same action on doing the inner work of transcending the blocks and limiting beliefs that are keeping you stuck in victim consciousness mode.  For it is from that space, that this whole "gotcha mentality" springs forth.  Through the transformational process of transcending our past hurt/pain/strife/trauma we start to see the world through the lens of ONENESS.  Your leeriness of "the other" becomes understanding of their own pain and Superhero's Journey.  And your heart fills with COMPASSION and the KNOWINGNESS that WE ARE ALL ONE.

The opposite of victim consciousness is "Christ Consciousness."  And living from this state/space we actually choose to give even more LOVE, forgiveness, and compassion to both the accused and the accuser.  For Christ Consciousness has the innerstanding that THEY are the precious Spirits who need it the most!  Just as Jesus the Christ taught us through his many examples that imbued the true meaning of being a SUPERHERO.  Which is to BE of loving service to yourSELF and all others.  

We can do this my dear friends.  No longer must we succumb to the ever nasty whims of the EGO.  Trying its damn near best to tear us apart at the spiritual seems.  Causing us to cast out judgment, fear, and hate toward one another.  Instead of caressing the collective ONE GOD MIND with thoughts of LOVE and forgiveness;  always and in all ways.  And there is plenty of space to do BOTH!  And by that I am referring to both holding one another in a state of LOVE, while also refusing to condone certain actions/behaviors.  

What would it look like, the next time a new 'allegation' of some sort comes to light, for all of us to take great pause.  Right then, right there and now.  And simply......PRAY.  Pray for both sides in "the situation."    Pray that LOVE finds a way.  A path into the pain of all concerned.  Pray that lives won't be irrevocably damaged.  Pray the wisdom that comes from seeing everyone through the prescription lens of our Inner Innocence will work its magic.  Especially before the innocent is disproved.  Because we will find out that in some of these cases, the innocent is actually.....innocent.  Eventually, by doing the inner work, we will eventually transcend any form or idea that does not see ALL as innocent.  Because we are all "Divinely Devised," perfect emanations of GOD.  And are seen as innocent in his loving glaze!  For GOD does not judge. He refuses to utter the word sinner.  For that term is concocted from pure judgment.  And non-forgiveness.  It's totally egoic in nature.  The closest thing to a "sin"' in God's One-Mind is denying him by forgetting who you truly are.

The smokey air is literally choking the spaces of "Forgiveness and Compassion" from our lexicon.  But just because the past chapters of our collective story has already been written, there are many, many more pages still to be jotted down in the pages of our collective Superhero's Journey!  Let's make sure we are writing a Best Seller............

Are You TRULY Ready To LEVEL UP Your Life..... THIS Post is Written For YOU....!!

 

In the Summer of 2003, my family and I traveled to the outskirts of St. Louis.  We have relatives who live there that we forged a special bond with when they lived three hours North of us in the suburbs of New Jersey.

In the 15 plus years since their eventual move to the Midwest, they had bought a cabin smack dab on the edge of the famous Ozark lakes. A few days after our arrival, we decided to rent a pontoon boat and head out into the well traversed waters already filled with a plethora of boats of all shapes and sizes. 

With a boat filled with over 10 enthusiastic family passengers, we set sail for an afternoon of watershed fun! Boy, did we get WAY more than we ever bargained for. (Note to SELF) Have an experienced boat navigator on board before even thinking about shimming your floating vessel out into very deep waters! 

That particular afternoon happened to have a near record setting amount of boats enjoying their weekend time of frolic filled fun! Little did we know that such a cacophony of water cruising causes Gi-normous wakes. They began to hammer our poor pontoon boat into something akin to an amusement park ride. I was at the very front of the boat catching the sun rays and amazing smells that  are conjured up during such a fortuitous day out in the middle of nature's magic. 

About an hour into our trip, I began to notice the boat starting to rock and roll as the waves began to grow into a formidable foe. As we tried to navigate the boat closer to shore to escape the constant pounding of punishing waves, I felt a very cold tingling sensation slowly creeping up my legs. I looked down to see that the front of the boat was quickly filling with water! 

I ushered my torso to get a glance of the back of the boat. Holy guacamole! It was nearly ten feet up in the air, taking many of my family members with it. Within seconds, I felt the water rising all around me as I desperately tried to climb to the back of the boat. Then the better part of my fight or flight instincts kicked in and I realized that I needed to jump out of the boat. And PRONTO! So I flipped myself over the pontoon's side rails quicker than a ferret striking back at its sneaky snake foe.  My 200 pounds of weight now having been released from the boats' bow caused the back of the fragile cruiser to drop back down into the water! 

"First one to shore, drinks are on me!" I shouted to the emotionally charged group still residing within the confines of the boat.  I , on the other hand found myself still shell shocked, wading by myself in the cold waters of the Ozark lake. 

Thankfully, we were eventually able to navigate the boat back to its home base. I was so blessed to have only a bruised leg to show from my efforts to keep our boat safely afloat. As I was washing the sand and water off my torso, I told everyone in our group to go ahead without me, because I was going to immediately start taking pontoon boat captain lessons!  LOL 


SUPERHEROES IN TRAINING TAKEAWAYS

Life is so very much about timing. It's not so much about what you do, but when you do it! Sometimes you will have to make "the jump" before you feel ready. Just as I did on the pontoon boat that day! Other times, you will be given the space to prepare before taking a leap of FAITH.

I was recently watching an episode of The Steve Harvey Show. Standing like a preacher of passion in front of this live studio audience, Steve began to give a rousing speech, “I'm going to tell you something that EVERY single successful person has to do.  Including you.  EVERY SUCCESSFUL PERSON IN THIS WORLD HAS TAKEN THE JUMP.  You have to take that gift, which comes packed away on your back, you have to jump off that cliff and pull that chord.  That gift opens up and provides the SOAR.  And if you don't use it, you are going to continue to get up everyday and just go to work.   And if you continue getting up every day going to a job that you hate,  THAT'S NOT LIVING.”   Preach Steve, PREACH!  

Steve has of course done this himself, and understands the challenges that are a natural part of the process.   His point especially fleshed out when he says, “If you want to live your life in a comfort zone, it will become your FAILURE ZONE. In order to become successful, you are going to have to become uncomfortable.  Do not sit here in fear, and let fear control your fate.  Because you won't go ANYWHERE.  I'm going to tell you something about the JUMP you need to know.  Jumping is scary.  When you first jump, your parachute is NOT going to open up right away.  I would love to tell you that it would. That when you leave your job, the parashute is not going to open right away.  It's not going to happen that way.  You are going to get some skin torn off you on the rocks during the way down.  At times it is going to feel like an uncontrollable tumble.  But let me tell you this, if you NEVER jump, your parachute will never open.  YOU WILL NEVER SOAR.  You will be safe, with your parachute still on your back.  All your skills and talents still packed away and you will never get cut up.  But if you NEVER take that jump, YOU WILL NEVER SOAR.  If you don't jump, I am going to tell you something.  You will never know. You may be the best at what you do, but you will NEVER know.  You have to jump, everybody has to take the jump.”  And I could't agree more.  One of my definitions of a SIN, is unfulfilled potential.

Steve began to cry as he spoke, the obvious experience of his own pain and challenges, and the courage it took for him to take that jump , and the sense of fulfilled purpose it brought  him was so evident without him saying a single word. Simply crying on stage said it all.  

This segment resonated with me on SO many levels that I started to tear up myself.  It took me decades to take the jump. I'll tell no lies. My life is still FAR from perfect. The ass kickings continue! Yet, I have absolutely no regrets, as each and every experience I was collecting along my Superhero's Journey was preparing me for this moment!  

With the precarious state of the world, including mass shootings and acts of random violence, destruction from climate change, and the more than still lingering effects of the coronavirus pandemic filling our lives and airwaves on a nearly daily basis, I have a theory.  And it is why I am so PASSIONATE about what I do as a coach and inspirational thought leader.  I truly believe, the quickest way to change the world is to help people Re-member why they are here.  As a collective consciousness WE HAVE LOST OUR PURPOSE.  And to fill the void of not taking the jump to fulfill the DESTINY that is part of our essence, we are chasing false idols, and quite frankly, have become truly lost.  From my own experience, I have learned that the ONLY thing that will permanently fulfill the longing in our hearts and souls, the void of disconnection from Spirit, is following our Divine Purpose.  That is what this blog is all about.  Inspiring all New Age Nerds to awaken and truly live their LEGACY.  Doing so is a spiritual balm that helps heal the deepest wounds and fractures in our own BEING and amongst one another.  

I know only too intimately how much a comfortable life may seem appealing.  But after a while, it leaves you with a deep feeling of unfulfilled potential. And that is when depression, anxiety, drugs, alcohol, and other self sabotaging behavior slowly start to creep into our experience.  AND it can sneak up on you if you aren't careful.  Trust me!!!

Please do not misunderstand me.  I am NOT saying everyone should up and leave their current jobs to pursue their dreams and follow their PURPOSE.  It takes vision, and a sound plan put in place first.  But at some point, it will be so critical to step up to the 'Edge of Life' and TAKE THE JUMP toward the very reason you manifested into the human condition!  And that, my friends, is when MIRACLES become commonplace and LOVE abounds!  And more importantly, the moment you truly commit to your purpose, the Universe will rush in and flood your experience with anything and everything you need to survive!   Now doesn't that sound like a life truly worth living?!

One thing I do know is that once you truly commit to a path in life, your guardian angels will swoop in to assist you in every manner possible. Just as they did by giving me the quick insight to jump off that damn boat before I was ready!    LOL

ARE You SPIRITUALLY Broken BY The ENDLESS Gun Violence.. PLEASE READ......!

Today's post is dedicated to all those precious souls that lost their lives and are forever victims to senseless gun violence. Especially the 21 spirits in Uvalde, Texas. 

May we all make sure not ONE of these loving fellow brothers and sisters died in vain. Through increasing our collective  SITUATIONAL AWARENESS each and every day. Meaning, be more attentive to those in your immediate radius. Get out of your own head, and the concentration that focuses only on your needs; rather than those around you who are in an obvious state of pain and suffering. And could use your magical touch! Connect with them, through the commiseration and power of the Christ Consciousness within you. As one who suffers from mental illness, I can wholeheartedly say a simple gesture of loving kindness can and will alter the trajectory of those whose ultimate desire is to quell their own immense pain. NOT to destroy the lives of others..........   

May today's post begin a dialogue so that all those who are touched with the affliction of mental illness, may one day engage with a society that accepts them, not in spite of their afflictions, but because of them........

Back when I was in 4th grade, I experienced the first form of true, cruel emotional shaming towards a fellow classmate. He was extremely socially awkward, and didn't "fit in" to any of the niche cliques that were already forming at such a precarious age. His sneakers were not name branded; i.e. Nike, Addidas. But rather off brand kicks, obviously from a discount store. And his clothes were often mis-matched, as though picked out by a blind fashionista. 

I was fortunate enough to have been selected as a student crossing guard and still remember the barrage of insults and down right disparaging remarks sent his direction each and every morning. Until, I finally garnered the gumption to confront this rather intimidating group of bullies head on. 

Now at the time, I was quite tall for my age, but skinnier than a cheerio's sized hula hoop. 
But having the privilege of being a crossing guard, part of my "job description" was to uphold the Mustang's (our school's mascot) motto of truth, kindness, and excellence. And so one morning, as this unconscious group of goulish gang members ascended upon my defenseless classmate, I left my post, pronto!  

And as they were busy throwing evil epithets toward this fellow classmate, I spoke up rather loudly, after putting myself between this group/gang and their personal prey. 

"You guys want to pick on somebody. Pick on me!!," I snarled. Truth be told, I was more than a little trepidatious. I might not have been a math genius, but 7 on 1 isn't exactly fair numbers. A rather stout member of their posse stood out from their pack and approached me directly. 

"What are you going to do Martinez?" he blurted out. 

"As long as you come at me one at a time, why don't you see?" I nervously espoused. I knew the ONLY thing I had going in my favor was that despite my fragile size, I was the school's all star sports phenom. I held every school record in the physical education department. (And still do!) And they all knew it! 

As we looked each other in the eyes, with a steely glare, Eric (no need to reveal full names) backed down and walked toward his trope of groupies. "You're lucky Martinez," were the words he tossed into the waiting wind. "Whew," I heavily heaved! 

His entire entourage left the near bombastic scene and went into the school's back entrance one at a time. Several evil eye exchanges not withstanding!

"Are you OK?," I asked the victim of this constant abuse. I'll NEVER forget his answer. 

"I used to believe in everyone having a SOUL.  But now I really think that we are all SOULLESS," was his heartbreaking retort. 

"All I know, is that if we do have a SOUL, yours will have a special place in Heaven," was my reaching effort toward some sense of consolation.  

Thankfully, he didn't have to deal with such a pastiche of personally heartbreaking abuse the rest of that school year! True bullies are deeply insecure and it plays out in their dastardly behavior. So, as soon as they saw me around my spiritually fragile friend, all bets were wiped clear off the table! 

However, this experience still informs my spiritual psyche, and dare I say, sometimes still haunts me to this very day. It was my first experience with the truly damaging effects words and actions can profoundly affect the core beliefs of any special SPIRIT still searching for their life's MISSION. 

And unfortunately, with the advent of social media, emotional bullying has found a new outlet for its fiery and forcefully damaging nature ! In my county of Northern Virginia alone, there have been well over 10 school suicides in the past two years alone! Absolutely horrifying! And completely unacceptable on our collective SUPERHERO's watch! In fact, my beyond gorgeous God daughter was forced to be removed from her high school because of both incredulous emotional and physical bullying. GRRRRRRR!!! 

While the #ME/TOO movement is a fabulous start toward creating a society that is beginning to create a foundation built upon equality for ALL, there is still much work to be done. By us all!! 

AND IT ALL STARTS WITH LOVING UNDERSTANDING........................

As followers of this blog are fully aware, I dream and strive daily toward a world in which we celebrate each other's unique Super Hero's Journey.  Each and every one of us are here to fulfill a transcendent CALLING! And with each of our spectacular endeavors comes with it a plethora of trials and tribulations. Missions that ONLY WE CAN FULFILL!
And yet so very few of us know and truly try and understand what our fellow brothers and sisters must overcome in order to accomplish their tremendous earthly Missions! The deeply personal fears in the form of demons we must have the fortitude to slay in order to transform into the 'Greatest Version of the Grandest Vision' we've ever held about ourselves! 

Just to let all your fellow New Age Nerds in on a little "Secret," but while you may be able to temporarily dodge your collective CALLINGS, the Universe is ALWAYS watching! Never to judge your progress, but rather just the opposite. To see what you may need to fulfill your very reason for manifesting into the human condition on a planet still under the influence of a 3-Dimensional consciousness. Which in the most basic of terms means living under the guise of SEPARATION. The Great Illusion of All Ages! That in any way, shape, or form, we are separate entities. Rather than the relishing remembrance and acceptance that WE ARE ALL ONE!

And that our current primary MISSION is to awaken from our deep spiritual slumber to the realization that we all draw upon ONE GRAND CONSCIOUSNESS! While our bodies are indeed sacred temples, they are simply the carriers for our Super Heroic Higher Selves! The temporary housing for our eternal and true essence! Beings of pure LOVE wrapped within Stardust Skin!

And that given such understanding, we are absolutely LIMITLESS IN EVERY CONCEIVABLE MANNER! For once we awaken to our infinite inheritance, there will no longer be any desire for competition; or the hoarding of any form of abundance. For we shall forever remember that what I do for you, I do for mySELF. And that which I do for mySELF, I do for you! The true meaning of being a SUPERHERO! For we are all EMPLOYEES OF THE UNIVERSE! Light workers who agreed to manifest upon this very planet to assist in the grand expansion of its consciousness into the eternal understanding that we are spiritual beings having a human experience.  And that the ultimate answer to every question is .......     LOVE!

What would it look like to stop and truly listen to someone else's hard fought Superhero's Journey?! I have the fermented understanding that by doing so, we would realize how close our struggles surmise a realization of great similarity! And that an enlightened world of this soulful understanding would bring us closer on so many crucial fronts. 

Please remember that there is absolutely NO THING that comes into your experience that is not to further expand your very loving energetic essence. We are all SUPERHEROES that have the courage and fortitude to withstand any and everything that this Earthly experience can send our way. The ONLY way we can forgo being "Victoriously Heroic" in our SUPERHERO's Journey is by erroneously believing that we are a victim to our circumstances. In the purest of laymen's terms, thinking everything happens TO YOU, rather than FOR YOU! All for the completion of the uniquely personal MISSION that is the foundation for your own Superhero's Journey

SUPERHEROES IN TRAINING TAKEAWAYS:

As the great majority of you fellow New Age Nerds who have been following along with my own Superhero's Journey the previous 7 years, I'd be remiss to not once again be vulnerable about the state of my own mental health. Over the previous several years, I have been diagnosed with being bi-polar, coupled with anxiety, and traumatic disruptive disorder. Quite the emotional elixer to accept and deal with if I may say so myself.  I thought I knew what "HELL" looked like. Oh, little did I know the depths and wrath of suffering and pain that this earthly experience can forge onto one's heart and soul while suffering from mental illness! On many occasions, I've found myself literally oscillating through an internal state of incredibly joyous, grandiose, and exuberant emotions for several months, to suddenly waking one frightful morning in the darkness and hopelessness of a deep depression. Each time my spirit temporarily broken and utterly shattered! Just getting out of bed felt like an exercise in pure torture. It affects every part of my being. And there are absolutely NO WORDS to describe the physical, mental, psychic, and spiritual pain I have endured. Not to mention the damage it caused in all facets of my life. Almost unimaginable! No excuses on my end, yet hard fought compassion as many of my actions were not always the "authentic me."

However, I have not only accepted my diagnosis, but embraced it! I now believe that part of my own Superhero's Journey is to push through the intrinsic challenges of this illness to be an inspiration to the myriad of others who face the same challenges I do each and every day; absolutely NO fault of their own. One of many Superhero's for the "Malady of Mental Illness." What a privilege indeed.  Easy? HELL NO!!  Worth it? Damn straight! But I am more than up for the task that lies ahead. As Rocky Balboa says, "It's not how many times you get knocked down. But how many times you can get up and keep moving forward!" 

There is such a horrific "STIGMA" still surrounding any and all mental deficiencies. Yet 1 out of every 4 of us around the world will be afflicted by some sort of mental illness in our lifetime. Not trying to scare you, just stating the pure scientific facts! And many in the psychiatric field believe those numbers are WAY TOO LOW! Only because of the hellish lack of education surrounding any form of mental illness that still carries a soul crushing stigma causing too many precious, faceless brothers and sisters to suffer in vein. And those that are reticent to get the help they deserve due to stigma, commit suicide at an alarming rate! In fact, suicide is the 7th leading cause of death. And is the only cause that is currently rising, at a staggering rate of over 24% each and every year! 

Part of my own healing process the last few years was achieved through dedicated research on many super successful individuals who have been afflicted with the same malady that I have. Here is just a small list I compiled:

It's beyond time for all of us to STOP THE JUDGING and SHAMING of one another. And transcend those actions toward a compassionate habit of shifting our LOVE towards trying to truly UNDERSTAND what makes us extraordinary, rather than JUDGE the unique Journeys that each of us have been entrusted to complete.  After all, WE ARE ALL ONE! A unique emanation of the ONE GOD MIND that sends us all that which we need to fulfill the transcendent CALLING we came here to fulfill. Through the power of the Superhero's Journey!

Now please understand.  That does not mean every experience you will encounter would be deemed easy by anyone! I will personally declare that some of the "crosses we bare" are beyond punishing! And the process of accepting them will contort your own core beliefs many times over. Never to "TEST" you, but rather to assist you in your own expansion of energetic essence. That's precisely why I teach and ardently believe that each and every one of us are Super Heroes! 

For all of life itself is a Superhero's Journey.  An experience of radical spiritual transformation.  In which the Universe expresses itself through and as US!  The Grand Creator seeks to expand always and in all ways.  It's the very nature of God herself.  And as the late legendary physicist Stephen Hawking discovered, "The boundary condition of the Universe....is that is has NO boundary."  NO BOUNDARY and that means NO LIMITS!  You chose to come here to carry out a CALLING that was Divinely Devised, which will more than likely be much  grander than you have ever allowed yourself to accept and believe!

You carry a divinity spark of pure SPIRIT that is 100% heroic!  Part Martin Luther King Jr., part Yoda, Wonder Woman, and Captain America, but all Christ Consciousness!  By fulfilling your unique Mission, the byproduct is assisting and adding to the expansion of the Universe. Which ultimately means creating more heaping buckets of LOVE!  The core component of all that is.......

Just as we are all SUPER HEROES, our collective Purpose is also one in the same.  We are all here to be of LOVING, BLISSFUL service to ourselves and each other! BOOM! Period and exclamation point! Our individual CALLINGS are the vehicles through which we create that form of service.  And your CALLING has just as much to do with what you are Being as what it is you are Doing with your life.  Think of it this way.  Your purpose is the being ness and your calling is the doing ness part of your Superhero's Journey!  And by that I mean being kind, compassionate, patient, joyful and loving.  The doing ness is the Divine Assignment you came here to fulfill!  Together, they combine to join forces like two BSF's.  Best of Super Friends!  And in tandem, they create the love filled expansion the Universe desires........

And for all your super heroic efforts, you get to experience all the abundance within the Universe! All the wealth, health, joy, laughter, light, LOVE and BLISS in the Cosmos!  As you ask, so shall it be given.  That's a pretty fair trade off, right?!  I say Hell yes!  :0)

But in order for this "Cosmic Experiment" to be fulfilled, we must awaken from our collective slumber. And remember that WE ARE ALL ONE!  And stop the judging and shaming of one another. And replace these actions with a deeply profound transformation towards UNDERSTANDING.  In fact, I KNOW it is crucial that we make this transition ASAP! Our very "Collective Consciousness" depends on it............................

And for all you 'Reluctant Superheroes,' may I offer up this one simple suggestion that I believe has the power to shift the energy of this planet from fear and chaos back towards LOVE!

And that is to keep the 4 most powerful words always ready and willing to share with others....
