How To CRUSH Your FEARS With COMMANDER COURAGE...!

In the Matt Damon film "We Bought A Zoo", his character Benjamin Mee's life is a complete disaster.    His wife has passed away and his son has been expelled from school.  In what appears to be an impetuous decision, Benjamin decides to quit his job and move his family to the Southern California country side to buy a large property with a dilapidated Zoo on its premises.  Not exactly a sound moment of well planned clarity to say the least.  And to complicate his mounting issues, the Zoo is in desperate need of a full renovation in order to survive an impending shutdown by the local state ordinances.  While his daughter is thrilled at the prospect of a renovation, his son is sullen, despondent, and completely reticent to this project.

While Damon is aware that the daunting task of running a Zoo is beyond the scope of his skill sets, he is equally conscious of the need to reconnect with his children.  After all, it's quite a jolt to the Spirit to lose your mother and then be removed from your comfort zone with the daunting task of returning a Zoo to its former glory!  In an attempt to 'rally his troops', Benjamin brings his kids to a restaurant and reenacts the very moment that he first laid eyes on the angelic beauty that would later become the love of his life!

"So, I was walking by, and I saw her and I literally stopped.  Like this.  Just stopped!  And I went 'Oh my god, that is literally the most beautiful woman I have ever seen in my entire life.  But I had never done anything like this.  I had never gone to talk to a total stranger before.  So I thought to myself, 20 seconds.   Right! Go!  Now I'm in the restaurant.   I'm terrified and I'm thinking about leaving.  I can actually touch her.  She is right there. She still hasn't seen me.  But I still have 15 seconds of courage left.  Bravery!  Here is what I said.  I said, 'Excuse me.  Why would an amazing woman like you even talk to someone like me?  And she warmly answered, "Why not?"

As much as Benjamin was trying to instill a sense of COURAGE and Bravery to his kids, his short soliloquy was actually just as much for him.  Completely overwhelmed and bogged down by the pressures of running a business that stretched his sensibilities, he was in need of a boost of COURAGE just as much as his family.

And in that moment, he supplied both himself and his kids with a powerful life lesson!  Just 20 seconds of COURAGE can create Miracles; and start to Crush Your Fears!  As it had for him those many years ago.  And guess what?  You can apply the same principle in your own life. Think back to how many times, had you been able to muster just 20 seconds of COURAGE, your life might be much different than it is right now!  It truly causes one to pause, doesn't it?!?

SUPERHEROES IN TRAINING TIPS

1.  The first step toward infusing yourself with COURAGE is SELF LOVE. Practice reprogramming your Mindset toward the remembrance that you are a perfect emanation of the Grand Creator. Whose very essence is pure LOVE! And SELF LOVE is the foundation upon which a Mindset of COURAGE and Self Confidence is constructed! So it is absolutely vital that we learn to quell any thoughts that are not in alignment with this TRUTH. Including any notion of self doubt, worthlessness, fear of failure, or letting others opinions curb you from stepping out of your comfort zone. For life truly begins where our comfort zone ends!  Whenever these feelings burst into our thought patterns, it is a direct sign that we are disconnected from our Higher Self. The very nature of our true being! And that disconnection is our arch enemy called the EGO! Whose dastardly dealings are intent on keeping us feeling small and insignificant. This disconnection leads to depression, despair and loneliness, for we feel we are navigating our lives all by ourselves. When the truth is we are being supported in every way possible for us to fulfill our unique CALLING and live and share a life of pure BLISS!

The great late teacher Wayne Dyer had a conversation with Abraham, the embodyment of master Source energy.  In one potent exchange, Abraham professes, "And when you get control of your own vibration, the first thing that happens is your sense of self-worth comes into place- because the entire Universe is assisting you.  You feel clarity, and everything works out.  It's like a concierge leading you everywhere you want to go.  There are no missteps.  Things no longer feel difficult.  In fact, things that at one time felt difficult often feel humorous to you."

The lesson here is to learn to trust more in the LOVE SOURCE that surrounds you at all times and worry less. It is the guiding presence that provides us with COURAGE, strength, intuition, and the inner knowingness this energy source is available for us to access at any time! It's your personal 'genie in a bottle.'  As Gabby Bernstein says, "Worry is a constant prayer for CHAOS!" And that is a recipe for a life of confusion and the lack of  abundance that is your very birthright!  Yet we often conjure feelings of being poor. When you were born wealthy! Can I get an AMEN!   ;0)

Many of our challenges with SELF LOVE stem from the trauma we have endured. Whether from family member, friends, or authority figures. Many have been showered with abusive forms of mental, physical, and/or sexual experiences that have never been fully healed.  And the result is a Mindset filled with thoughts of not being good enough or lovable. So is it any wonder that we have a growing epidemic of depression and anxiety?!  (Please refer back to my post on Creating a New Origin Story from January 13th to assist you in transcending your trauma)

2.  Call forth CAPTAIN COURAGE! He/she is a divine part of your Super Heroic Higher Self. And requires only your absolute BELIEF in her! And CAPTAIN COURAGE will appear faster than a speeding bullet if you mix that belief with positive emotion. For emotion is Energy in Action. It amplifies his 'derring do' on your behalf! And together, your Fears do not stand a chance in holding you back from anything you wish to accomplish!

3.  Incorporate the '20 SECOND RULE'!  Just as Matt Damon's character Benjamin did in “We Bought A Zoo!” Remember, you are a Miracle Making Machine!  And mustering up just '20 Seconds of Courage' at the right time can change your life from mediocre to MAGNIFICENT! I highly suggest you incorporate this potent practice into your life the very next time the opportunity arises.

4.  Use the SELF CONFIDENCE FORMULA devised from none other than one of my personal Heroes, Napoleon Hill.

FIRST: I know that I have the ability to achieve the object of my definite purpose, therefore I demand of myself persistent, aggressive and continuous action toward its attainment.

SECOND: I realize that the dominating thoughts of my mind eventually reproduce themselves in outward bodily action, and gradually transform themselves into physical reality.  Therefore I will concentrate my mindful thirty minutes daily upon the task of thinking of the person I intend to be by creating a mental picture of this person and then transforming that picture into reality through practical service.

5.   Once you have practiced calling upon Captain Courage, tag team with his potent power to make 'Friends with Fear!' As they say, there is strength in numbers.  And just like an unruly steed, use your tandem COURAGE to tame Fear back into submission. Learn to see Fear as a gift in that it shows you the areas within which still need to be cultivated and improved upon! It is perhaps the most powerful manner of spiritual transformation toward gaining the wisdom you will need to fulfill you CALLING!

Now even friends have feuds!  If your Inner Critic is filling you with stifling fear, do not be afraid to look it steely in the eyes! Actually intimidate it, if just for a beat or two. Remembering that it is still a precious gift, but not letting it turn the tables to stop you from doing anything.

By incorporating these tips into your self growth practices, I believe you will see your levels of COURAGE increase dramatically.  Providing you with a much needed boost of self confidence and the fortitude to follow your heartfelt desires!

On This MLK Day.. Take A Moment To Read His VERY LAST Speech.. It May CHANGE Your Life..!

The 'Drum Major Instinct' was the very last sermon ever given by the great Martin Luther King, Jr. It was delivered on February 4th, 1968 to his congregation at Ebenezer Baptist Church in Atlanta, Georgia just before his assassination. Soulful, deeply moving and inspirational, it perfectly captures his prescient nature. Filled with a prophetic eulogy of the lasting legacy he would leave in his wondrous life and Hero's Journey.

On this day of celebrating the life of a man of deep faith, grace, and humility, I would like to suggest how to honor his CALLINGBE DISRUPTIVE. Be disruptive in compassion and kindness toward yourself and all others. Be disruptive in the way you inspire. Be disruptive in creativity. Be disruptive in service toward building a new world. Be disruptive in how you share the unique gifts that are part of your Super Heroic Higher Self. And always be disruptive in spreading LOVE

We are on the precipice of a transformative opportunity. It is always darkest just before the dawn. Please choose to believe that the dawn is now upon us. A shift toward conscious awakening is brewing. And we are being called upon to live the examples left by men such as Martin Luther King, Jr. We are the SUPERHEROES the world has been waiting for! Our combined power is so much more transcendent than our current challenges. We have been given the template for change. Mr. King's life was a blueprint toward a world of acceptance, not judgment. Where kindness trumps condemnation. A vision in which truth and justice reign supreme over the lands. And LOVE is the shared center in which all persons can meet!

So I ask, are you willing to commit to change?! Idle talk is no longer part of this framework. WE MUST CHOOSE TO ACT! When opportunity knocks, will you answer the door? Please fear not! For when the door bell once rang, courage went to answer.  And nobody was there!

It's time for us to change our perspective. For a miracle is simply a shift from fear to love. To see this transformation, Mr. King gave his life.  What are you prepared to give?

THE DRUM MAJOR INSTINCT

And our text for the morning is taken from a very familiar passage in the tenth chapter as recorded by Saint Mark. Beginning with the thirty-fifth verse of that chapter, we read these words: “And James and John, the sons of Zebedee, came unto him saying, ‘Master, we would that thou shouldest do for us whatsoever we shall desire.’ And he said unto them, ‘What would ye that I should do for you?’ And they said unto him, ‘Grant unto us that we may sit, one on thy right hand, and the other on thy left hand, in thy glory.’ But Jesus said unto them, ‘Ye know not what ye ask: Can ye drink of the cup that I drink of? and be baptized with the baptism that I am baptized with?’ And they said unto him, ‘We can.’ And Jesus said unto them, ‘Ye shall indeed drink of the cup that I drink of, and with the baptism that I am baptized withal shall ye be baptized: but to sit on my right hand and on my left hand is not mine to give; but it shall be given to them for whom it is prepared.’” And then Jesus goes on toward the end of that passage to say, “But so shall it not be among you: but whosoever will be great among you, shall be your servant: and whosoever of you will be the chiefest, shall be servant of all.”
The setting is clear. James and John are making a specific request of the master. They had dreamed, as most of the Hebrews dreamed, of a coming king of Israel who would set Jerusalem free and establish his kingdom on Mount Zion, and in righteousness rule the world. And they thought of Jesus as this kind of king. And they were thinking of that day when Jesus would reign supreme as this new king of Israel. And they were saying, “Now when you establish your kingdom, let one of us sit on the right hand and the other on the left hand of your throne.”
Now very quickly, we would automatically condemn James and John, and we would say they were selfish. Why would they make such a selfish request? But before we condemn them too quickly, let us look calmly and honestly at ourselves, and we will discover that we too have those same basic desires for recognition, for importance. That same desire for attention, that same desire to be first. Of course, the other disciples got mad with James and John, and you could understand why, but we must understand that we have some of the same James and John qualities. And there is deep down within all of us an instinct. It’s a kind of drum major instinct–a desire to be out front, a desire to lead the parade, a desire to be first. And it is something that runs the whole gamut of life.
And so before we condemn them, let us see that we all have the drum major instinct. We all want to be important, to surpass others, to achieve distinction, to lead the parade. Alfred Adler, the great psychoanalyst, contends that this is the dominant impulse. Sigmund Freud used to contend that sex was the dominant impulse, and Adler came with a new argument saying that this quest for recognition, this desire for attention, this desire for distinction is the basic impulse, the basic drive of human life, this drum major instinct.
And you know, we begin early to ask life to put us first. Our first cry as a baby was a bid for attention. And all through childhood the drum major impulse or instinct is a major obsession. Children ask life to grant them first place. They are a little bundle of ego. And they have innately the drum major impulse or the drum major instinct.
Now in adult life, we still have it, and we really never get by it. We like to do something good. And you know, we like to be praised for it. Now if you don’t believe that, you just go on living life, and you will discover very soon that you like to be praised. Everybody likes it, as a matter of fact. And somehow this warm glow we feel when we are praised or when our name is in print is something of the vitamin A to our ego. Nobody is unhappy when they are praised, even if they know they don’t deserve it and even if they don’t believe it. The only unhappy people about praise is when that praise is going too much toward somebody else. (That’s right) But everybody likes to be praised because of this real drum major instinct.
Now the presence of the drum major instinct is why so many people are “joiners.” You know, there are some people who just join everything. And it’s really a quest for attention and recognition and importance. And they get names that give them that impression. So you get your groups, and they become the “Grand Patron,” and the little fellow who is henpecked at home needs a chance to be the “Most Worthy of the Most Worthy” of something. It is the drum major impulse and longing that runs the gamut of human life. And so we see it everywhere, this quest for recognition. And we join things, overjoin really, that we think that we will find that recognition in.
Now the presence of this instinct explains why we are so often taken by advertisers. You know, those gentlemen of massive verbal persuasion. And they have a way of saying things to you that kind of gets you into buying. In order to be a man of distinction, you must drink this whiskey. In order to make your neighbors envious, you must drive this type of car. (Make it plain) In order to be lovely to love you must wear this kind of lipstick or this kind of perfume. And you know, before you know it, you’re just buying that stuff. (Yes) That’s the way the advertisers do it.
I got a letter the other day, and it was a new magazine coming out. And it opened up, “Dear Dr. King: As you know, you are on many mailing lists. And you are categorized as highly intelligent, progressive, a lover of the arts and the sciences, and I know you will want to read what I have to say.” Of course I did. After you said all of that and explained me so exactly, of course I wanted to read it. [laughter]
But very seriously, it goes through life; the drum major instinct is real. (Yes) And you know what else it causes to happen? It often causes us to live above our means. (Make it plain) It’s nothing but the drum major instinct. Do you ever see people buy cars that they can’t even begin to buy in terms of their income? (Amen) [laughter] You’ve seen people riding around in Cadillacs and Chryslers who don’t earn enough to have a good T-Model Ford. (Make it plain) But it feeds a repressed ego.
You know, economists tell us that your automobile should not cost more than half of your annual income. So if you make an income of five thousand dollars, your car shouldn’t cost more than about twenty-five hundred. That’s just good economics. And if it’s a family of two, and both members of the family make ten thousand dollars, they would have to make out with one car. That would be good economics, although it’s often inconvenient. But so often, haven’t you seen people making five thousand dollars a year and driving a car that costs six thousand? And they wonder why their ends never meet. [laughter] That’s a fact.
Now the economists also say that your house shouldn’t cost—if you’re buying a house, it shouldn’t cost more than twice your income. That’s based on the economy and how you would make ends meet. So, if you have an income of five thousand dollars, it’s kind of difficult in this society. But say it’s a family with an income of ten thousand dollars, the house shouldn’t cost much more than twenty thousand. Well, I’ve seen folk making ten thousand dollars, living in a forty- and fifty-thousand-dollar house. And you know they just barely make it. They get a check every month somewhere, and they owe all of that out before it comes in. Never have anything to put away for rainy days.
But now the problem is, it is the drum major instinct. And you know, you see people over and over again with the drum major instinct taking them over. And they just live their lives trying to outdo the Joneses. (Amen) They got to get this coat because this particular coat is a little better and a little better-looking than Mary’s coat. And I got to drive this car because it’s something about this car that makes my car a little better than my neighbor’s car. (Amen) I know a man who used to live in a thirty-five-thousand-dollar house. And other people started building thirty-five-thousand-dollar houses, so he built a seventy-five-thousand-dollar house. And then somebody else built a seventy-five-thousand-dollar house, and he built a hundred-thousand-dollar house. And I don’t know where he’s going to end up if he’s going to live his life trying to keep up with the Joneses.
There comes a time that the drum major instinct can become destructive. (Make it plain) And that’s where I want to move now. I want to move to the point of saying that if this instinct is not harnessed, it becomes a very dangerous, pernicious instinct. For instance, if it isn’t harnessed, it causes one’s personality to become distorted. I guess that’s the most damaging aspect of it: what it does to the personality. If it isn’t harnessed, you will end up day in and day out trying to deal with your ego problem by boasting. Have you ever heard people that—you know, and I’m sure you’ve met them—that really become sickening because they just sit up all the time talking about themselves. (Amen) And they just boast and boast and boast, and that’s the person who has not harnessed the drum major instinct.
And then it does other things to the personality. It causes you to lie about who you know sometimes. (Amen, Make it plain) There are some people who are influence peddlers. And in their attempt to deal with the drum major instinct, they have to try to identify with the so-called big-name people. (Yeah, Make it plain) And if you’re not careful, they will make you think they know somebody that they don’t really know. (Amen) They know them well, they sip tea with them, and they this-and-that. That happens to people.
And the other thing is that it causes one to engage ultimately in activities that are merely used to get attention. Criminologists tell us that some people are driven to crime because of this drum major instinct. They don’t feel that they are getting enough attention through the normal channels of social behavior, and so they turn to anti-social behavior in order to get attention, in order to feel important. (Yeah) And so they get that gun, and before they know it they robbed a bank in a quest for recognition, in a quest for importance.
And then the final great tragedy of the distorted personality is the fact that when one fails to harness this instinct, (Glory to God) he ends up trying to push others down in order to push himself up. (Amen) And whenever you do that, you engage in some of the most vicious activities. You will spread evil, vicious, lying gossip on people, because you are trying to pull them down in order to push yourself up. (Make it plain) And the great issue of life is to harness the drum major instinct.
Now the other problem is, when you don’t harness the drum major instinct—this uncontrolled aspect of it—is that it leads to snobbish exclusivism. It leads to snobbish exclusivism. (Make it plain) And you know, this is the danger of social clubs and fraternities—I’m in a fraternity; I’m in two or three—for sororities and all of these, I’m not talking against them. I’m saying it’s the danger. The danger is that they can become forces of classism and exclusivism where somehow you get a degree of satisfaction because you are in something exclusive. And that’s fulfilling something, you know—that I’m in this fraternity, and it’s the best fraternity in the world, and everybody can’t get in this fraternity. So it ends up, you know, a very exclusive kind of thing.
And you know, that can happen with the church; I know churches get in that bind sometimes. (Amen, Make it plain) I’ve been to churches, you know, and they say, “We have so many doctors, and so many school teachers, and so many lawyers, and so many businessmen in our church.” And that’s fine, because doctors need to go to church, and lawyers, and businessmen, teachers—they ought to be in church. But they say that—even the preacher sometimes will go all through that—they say that as if the other people don’t count. (Amen)
And the church is the one place where a doctor ought to forget that he’s a doctor. The church is the one place where a Ph.D. ought to forget that he’s a Ph.D. (Yes) The church is the one place that the school teacher ought to forget the degree she has behind her name. The church is the one place where the lawyer ought to forget that he’s a lawyer. And any church that violates the “whosoever will, let him come” doctrine is a dead, cold church, (Yes) and nothing but a little social club with a thin veneer of religiosity.
When the church is true to its nature, (Whoo) it says, “Whosoever will, let him come.” (Yes) And it does not supposed to satisfy the perverted uses of the drum major instinct. It’s the one place where everybody should be the same, standing before a common master and savior. (Yes, sir) And a recognition grows out of this—that all men are brothers because they are children (Yes) of a common father.
The drum major instinct can lead to exclusivism in one’s thinking and can lead one to feel that because he has some training, he’s a little better than that person who doesn’t have it. Or because he has some economic security, that he’s a little better than that person who doesn’t have it. And that’s the uncontrolled, perverted use of the drum major instinct.
Now the other thing is, that it leads to tragic—and we’ve seen it happen so often—tragic race prejudice. Many who have written about this problem—Lillian Smith used to say it beautifully in some of her books. And she would say it to the point of getting men and women to see the source of the problem. Do you know that a lot of the race problem grows out of the drum major instinct? A need that some people have to feel superior. A need that some people have to feel that they are first, and to feel that their white skin ordained them to be first. (Make it plain, today, ‘cause I’m against it, so help me God) And they have said over and over again in ways that we see with our own eyes. In fact, not too long ago, a man down in Mississippi said that God was a charter member of the White Citizens Council. And so God being the charter member means that everybody who’s in that has a kind of divinity, a kind of superiority. And think of what has happened in history as a result of this perverted use of the drum major instinct. It has led to the most tragic prejudice, the most tragic expressions of man’s inhumanity to man.
The other day I was saying, I always try to do a little converting when I’m in jail. And when we were in jail in Birmingham the other day, the white wardens and all enjoyed coming around the cell to talk about the race problem. And they were showing us where we were so wrong demonstrating. And they were showing us where segregation was so right. And they were showing us where intermarriage was so wrong. So I would get to preaching, and we would get to talking—calmly, because they wanted to talk about it. And then we got down one day to the point—that was the second or third day—to talk about where they lived, and how much they were earning. And when those brothers told me what they were earning, I said, “Now, you know what? You ought to be marching with us. [laughter] You’re just as poor as Negroes.” And I said, “You are put in the position of supporting your oppressor, because through prejudice and blindness, you fail to see that the same forces that oppress Negroes in American society oppress poor white people. (Yes) And all you are living on is the satisfaction of your skin being white, and the drum major instinct of thinking that you are somebody big because you are white. And you’re so poor you can’t send your children to school. You ought to be out here marching with every one of us every time we have a march.”
Now that’s a fact. That the poor white has been put into this position, where through blindness and prejudice, (Make it plain) he is forced to support his oppressors. And the only thing he has going for him is the false feeling that he’s superior because his skin is white—and can’t hardly eat and make his ends meet week in and week out. (Amen)
And not only does this thing go into the racial struggle, it goes into the struggle between nations. And I would submit to you this morning that what is wrong in the world today is that the nations of the world are engaged in a bitter, colossal contest for supremacy. And if something doesn’t happen to stop this trend, I’m sorely afraid that we won’t be here to talk about Jesus Christ and about God and about brotherhood too many more years. (Yeah) If somebody doesn’t bring an end to this suicidal thrust that we see in the world today, none of us are going to be around, because somebody’s going to make the mistake through our senseless blunderings of dropping a nuclear bomb somewhere. And then another one is going to drop. And don’t let anybody fool you, this can happen within a matter of seconds. (Amen) They have twenty-megaton bombs in Russia right now that can destroy a city as big as New York in three seconds, with everybody wiped away, and every building. And we can do the same thing to Russia and China.
But this is why we are drifting. And we are drifting there because nations are caught up with the drum major instinct. “I must be first.” “I must be supreme.” “Our nation must rule the world.” (Preach it) And I am sad to say that the nation in which we live is the supreme culprit. And I’m going to continue to say it to America, because I love this country too much to see the drift that it has taken.
God didn’t call America to do what she’s doing in the world now. (Preach it, preach it) God didn’t call America to engage in a senseless, unjust war as the war in Vietnam. And we are criminals in that war. We’ve committed more war crimes almost than any nation in the world, and I’m going to continue to say it. And we won’t stop it because of our pride and our arrogance as a nation.
But God has a way of even putting nations in their place. (Amen) The God that I worship has a way of saying, “Don’t play with me.” (Yes) He has a way of saying, as the God of the Old Testament used to say to the Hebrews, “Don’t play with me, Israel. Don’t play with me, Babylon. (Yes) Be still and know that I’m God. And if you don’t stop your reckless course, I’ll rise up and break the backbone of your power.” (Yes) And that can happen to America. (Yes) Every now and then I go back and read Gibbons’ Decline and Fall of the Roman Empire. And when I come and look at America, I say to myself, the parallels are frightening. And we have perverted the drum major instinct.
But let me rush on to my conclusion, because I want you to see what Jesus was really saying. What was the answer that Jesus gave these men? It’s very interesting. One would have thought that Jesus would have condemned them. One would have thought that Jesus would have said, “You are out of your place. You are selfish. Why would you raise such a question?”
But that isn’t what Jesus did; he did something altogether different. He said in substance, “Oh, I see, you want to be first. You want to be great. You want to be important. You want to be significant. Well, you ought to be. If you’re going to be my disciple, you must be.” But he reordered priorities. And he said, “Yes, don’t give up this instinct. It’s a good instinct if you use it right. (Yes) It’s a good instinct if you don’t distort it and pervert it. Don’t give it up. Keep feeling the need for being important. Keep feeling the need for being first. But I want you to be first in love. (Amen) I want you to be first in moral excellence. I want you to be first in generosity. That is what I want you to do.”
And he transformed the situation by giving a new definition of greatness. And you know how he said it? He said, “Now brethren, I can’t give you greatness. And really, I can’t make you first.” This is what Jesus said to James and John. “You must earn it. True greatness comes not by favoritism, but by fitness. And the right hand and the left are not mine to give, they belong to those who are prepared.” (Amen)
And so Jesus gave us a new norm of greatness. If you want to be important—wonderful. If you want to be recognized—wonderful. If you want to be great—wonderful. But recognize that he who is greatest among you shall be your servant. (Amen) That’s a new definition of greatness.
And this morning, the thing that I like about it: by giving that definition of greatness, it means that everybody can be great, (Everybody) because everybody can serve. (Amen) You don’t have to have a college degree to serve. (All right) You don’t have to make your subject and your verb agree to serve. You don’t have to know about Plato and Aristotle to serve. You don’t have to know Einstein’s theory of relativity to serve. You don’t have to know the second theory of thermodynamics in physics to serve. (Amen) You only need a heart full of grace, (Yes, sir, Amen) a soul generated by love. (Yes) And you can be that servant.
I know a man—and I just want to talk about him a minute, and maybe you will discover who I’m talking about as I go down the way (Yeah) because he was a great one. And he just went about serving. He was born in an obscure village, (Yes, sir) the child of a poor peasant woman. And then he grew up in still another obscure village, where he worked as a carpenter until he was thirty years old. (Amen) Then for three years, he just got on his feet, and he was an itinerant preacher. And he went about doing some things. He didn’t have much. He never wrote a book. He never held an office. He never had a family. (Yes) He never owned a house. He never went to college. He never visited a big city. He never went two hundred miles from where he was born. He did none of the usual things that the world would associate with greatness. He had no credentials but himself.
He was only thirty-three when the tide of public opinion turned against him. They called him a rabble-rouser. They called him a troublemaker. They said he was an agitator. (Glory to God) He practiced civil disobedience; he broke injunctions. And so he was turned over to his enemies and went through the mockery of a trial. And the irony of it all is that his friends turned him over to them. (Amen) One of his closest friends denied him. Another of his friends turned him over to his enemies. And while he was dying, the people who killed him gambled for his clothing, the only possession that he had in the world. (Lord help him) When he was dead he was buried in a borrowed tomb, through the pity of a friend.
Nineteen centuries have come and gone and today he stands as the most influential figure that ever entered human history. All of the armies that ever marched, all the navies that ever sailed, all the parliaments that ever sat, and all the kings that ever reigned put together (Yes) have not affected the life of man on this earth (Amen) as much as that one solitary life. His name may be a familiar one. (Jesus) But today I can hear them talking about him. Every now and then somebody says, “He’s King of Kings.” (Yes) And again I can hear somebody saying, “He’s Lord of Lords.” Somewhere else I can hear somebody saying, “In Christ there is no East nor West.” (Yes) And then they go on and talk about, “In Him there’s no North and South, but one great Fellowship of Love throughout the whole wide world.” He didn’t have anything. (Amen) He just went around serving and doing good.
This morning, you can be on his right hand and his left hand if you serve. (Amen) It’s the only way in.
Every now and then I guess we all think realistically (Yes, sir) about that day when we will be victimized with what is life’s final common denominator—that something that we call death. We all think about it. And every now and then I think about my own death and I think about my own funeral. And I don’t think of it in a morbid sense. And every now and then I ask myself, “What is it that I would want said?” And I leave the word to you this morning.
If any of you are around when I have to meet my day, I don’t want a long funeral. And if you get somebody to deliver the eulogy, tell them not to talk too long. (Yes) And every now and then I wonder what I want them to say. Tell them not to mention that I have a Nobel Peace Prize—that isn’t important. Tell them not to mention that I have three or four hundred other awards—that’s not important. Tell them not to mention where I went to school. (Yes)
I’d like somebody to mention that day that Martin Luther King, Jr., tried to give his life serving others. (Yes)
I’d like for somebody to say that day that Martin Luther King, Jr., tried to love somebody.
I want you to say that day that I tried to be right on the war question. (Amen)
I want you to be able to say that day that I did try to feed the hungry. (Yes)
And I want you to be able to say that day that I did try in my life to clothe those who were naked. (Yes)
I want you to say on that day that I did try in my life to visit those who were in prison. (Lord)
I want you to say that I tried to love and serve humanity. (Yes)
Yes, if you want to say that I was a drum major, say that I was a drum major for justice. (Amen) Say that I was a drum major for peace. (Yes) I was a drum major for righteousness. And all of the other shallow things will not matter. (Yes) I won’t have any money to leave behind. I won’t have the fine and luxurious things of life to leave behind. But I just want to leave a committed life behind. (Amen) And that’s all I want to say.
If I can help somebody as I pass along,
If I can cheer somebody with a word or song,
If I can show somebody he’s traveling wrong,
Then my living will not be in vain.
If I can do my duty as a Christian ought,
If I can bring salvation to a world once wrought,
If I can spread the message as the master taught,
Then my living will not be in vain.
Yes, Jesus the Christ, I want to be on your right or your left side, (Yes) not for any selfish reason. I want to be on your right or your left side, not in terms of some political kingdom or ambition. But I just want to be there in love and in justice and in truth and in commitment to others, so that we can make of this old world a new world.
Amen!

HAVE You Hit ROCK BOTTOM... CONGRATULATIONS.. Here's WHY!

I have a voracious appetite for biographies.  It started around my late 20's when I had gone through the first, of what eventually became many "Rock Bottom" periods of this experience called life. Not that misery loves company in my book, but from an INSPIRATIONAL standpoint, I love to learn how far down the rabbit hole someone had to fall before they picked themselves off the mat and rebuilt their life.  It gives me hope and a fervent vigor that if they can do it, so can I, damn it! And so what have I ascertained from the comeback stories of so many iconoclasts and spirits of great reverence?  I have learned that HITTING ROCK BOTTOM IS THE GREATEST THING THAT WILL EVER HAPPEN TO YOU!  So if that is where you currently find yourself to be, BRAVO!  And if anyone happens to inquire about your current set of circumstances, may I suggest you simply smile and say, "Right now I just happen to be in between life successes!"  You are EXACTLY where you are meant to be! Now I am the first to say that being in this temporary situation is by no means easy!  In fact, it can be quite harrowing and even down right brutal at times.  But as the creator of the billion dollar Harry Potter franchise has repeatedly stated, “I built my entire life from the foundation of being at rock bottom.”  And utter LOVE.......

For those who don't know her story, she was a single mom, completely out of money and close to losing her home. One day, sitting in a cafe and in a state of utter desperation, she wrote down the basic outline for Harry Potter on a napkin. Even though she had never written a novel in her entire life. (and she was in her late 30's)  As we all now know, she has become one of the richest people in the world!  And her story is FAR from unique.  There are countless stories of individuals who have hit rock bottom only to scale the heights of abundance through blood, sweat, perseverance and plain old determination.

Before fingers start being pointed in my direction, regular readers of The New Age Nerd know a great deal about the times I have hit my own version of Rock Bottom.  And I must admit, when you are in the middle of the storm, it can feel downright awful. As if life's oceans are bombarding you with spiritual shards of painful pieces of a life that now seems shattered beyond repair. And your FAITH seems to be no where in sight. For rather than dipping our toe into the illusionary pond of illusion, we JUMP RIGHT IN, sans any bathing/birthing suit.  For when life brings us to our knees in this fashion, it usually means that we area about to birth a MIRACLE! And the birthing process is an arduous one. As any mother of such daunting deeds will fully attest to. ;0)

But as part of the process, you go through a period that I like to call a BREAK OPEN. Others call it a BREAK DOWN, but I prefer to transcend that limiting energetic offering by deeming it a BREAK OPEN.  Because I have come to the realization that your own heart uses this period to completely shatter itself into something that can later be rebuilt!  Into a perfect painting worthy of any artist's awe and inspiration! And when this transformation occurs, the only thing that pours out is complete LOVE!  It is very much like the process that a caterpillar goes through during its transformation into a butterfly; for once that miraculous process occurs, THERE IS NO GOING BACK! And the collective whole of each precious soul sharing expanded loving energy will eventually reconnect with the Grand Creator herSELF!  All to assist in the grand expansion that this Universe is currently desiring! How frickin' cool is that!  We are all Superheroes collecting shards of expansive love in a 'Billion' different forms. All so that this Universe and the Grand Creator who gave it birth, can experience the passion, joy, kindness, peace, wisdom, and blasts of bliss filled LOVE that will forevermore expand the energetic force of creation to newly filled heavenly heights! NO PRESSURE MY TEAM OF SUPERHEROES!

It is usually during this time that we begin the process of understanding our purpose.  Because as I have repeatedly stated in this blog, we all have the exact same purpose.  Which is to flood this world with a 'Billion Buckets of Love," all through being of service toward ourSELVES and all of mankind!  And so once our heart breaks open, the Love that gushes out can be channeled toward the manner in which you choose to share it! It's all part of the Superhero's Journey..........

However, this period of our collective Journey will at times be filled with gut wrenching pain and soul crushing loneliness! And we will feel periods of angst imbued with the loss of everything that has come to define the existence of anything we once believed defined our individual reason for BEING.  And during this Earthly period of transformation, we let go of those things that no longer serve us.  This can be in the form of friends, relatives, jobs, and lovers.  Not to mention old belief patterns and paradigms that formed the old foundational systems of our life "pre-Break Open!"  And that is not an easy process!  It's also why so few divine earthly SPIRITS hear the call of their own Soul and pick up the phone to answer the voice on the other side. That soothing voice that will guide your individualized Spirit back toward its earthly mission!

In my experience, and those of so many I have coached, heard and read about, the gifts that come from the courage to hit 'Rock Bottom' and never give up are almost too many to list. Here is the short one:  compassion, wisdom, empathy, patience, strength, perseverance, and remembrance of their earthly MISSION!  Pretty groovy stuff if you ask me.  :0)

Even the Bible has its allegory for the magic of being broken open! Jesus the Christ would often BREAK bread before performing a miracle. And that is when the bread would multiply to feed thousands!  I believe this is because it was his way of showing us that we must first be broken wide open before our own miracles can be birthed into the earthly experience.  After every single time he conjured a so called Miracle, he finished his Earthly deed with the following magical mantra. "One day, this, and SO MUCH MORE, one day, you too shall do!" Please think about that for just a moment! Still doubt in your ability to move any and every mountain that stands before you...?!

As we grace this experience of having our own 'Break Open,' it is absolutely crucial to have a good support system in place. For there are times in which you are going to want to give up and throw in the preverbal towel. This is when it is so important to have a group of fellow spirits who will step into the darkness and pull you back into the light after the pain you feel has finished teaching you the lessons it came to bring! If you are struggling to find a fellow friend to assist you......please write my own name down!  My Super Heroic beacon call for all fellow Spiritual Gangsters is jeffmartinez@me.com  Just sayin'....I answer EVERY single email I receive......   ;0)

One Gi-normous reason for that is because I have come to learn that there really is no such thing as a Breakdown......   Instead, I have come to realize that there are only Break Opens!  And they occur when our lives hit absolute ROCK BOTTOM!  Which I have hit on more than one occasion. But, once again, hitting ROCK BOTTOM is one of the greatest opportunities for Spiritual Awakening that we can experience in this three dimensional earthly realm!

As they say the TRUTH (proof lol) is in the pudding and I have personally witnessed the power of spirit that floods into our existence when we suffer what I now deem a Break Open! When we hit a period of absolute ROCK BOTTOM, which if truth be told, more of us experience than we are willing to admit!

And if this is the direction in which our life has taken us, all through a myriad of possible outcomes and experiences, oh too many of us surrender to our Ego and look for a way out of our PAIN!  Yet, if we just have the courage to SURRENDER to our authentic self in the form of our Divine connection to source energy, we can begin to rebuild our lives with PURPOSE, and begin the process of finding our life MISSION!  For while I DO NOT believe in ABSOLUTES, through over 20 years of personal self actualization acumen, and over 10 years of working with coaching clients, we often hit a time period of ROCK BOTTOM that coincides with our spirits readiness to Break Open!

To quote Gabrielle Bernstein from her transformative memoir SPIRIT JUNKIE, "Hitting bottom and surrendering was the best thing that ever happened to me.  It cracked me open and led me to hear the voice of my ~ing again.  The willingness to hear this voice was all I needed to receive the guidance .  The Course(in Miracles) teaches that with the slightest willingness you will receive guidance from you inner guide.  Our relationship with our~ing is like having a mentor or teacher.  The ~ing's sole purpose is to guide us back to love."

And THAT my fellow NEW AGE NERDS is what this post is really all about!

For when you are truly in a vibration of ACCEPTANCE of life's torrential down pours which have brought you down to your nightly knees, it is actually the greatest opportunity for you to have the Courage and Faith to Break Open!  And trust me when I tell you I speak from personal experience!  The process of surrendering to Spirit and allowing yourself to completely Break Open is perhaps the most transcendental experience that the Universe provides us in this dense realm! For when we lean into this experience with all our heart and soul, the only thing that pours out of us is the willingness to love ourselves and others!  I'm not saying it's a painless experience, but nothing worth while ever is on this side of SOURCE! Life is NOT meant to be easy. But rather meaningful and imbued with LOVE filled purpose...............

And through this process of Breaking Open, we find that the other side is full of what I call Blissful Boosts!  Now it doesn't happen overnight, but trust me when I say that IT DOES INDEED OCCUR!  For as soon as you make that shift from Fear (EGO) to LOVE, miracles begin to flood into your daily experiences. And life begins to take on a feeling of MAGICAL PROPORTIONS!  People who are in a similar vibrational energetic pattern begin to seemingly appear out of thin air!  Special spirits who want nothing more than to support you and hold you in a space of love and light! I call them your 'Soul Pod!' New business opportunities show up as we take daily action steps towards the life we truly desire. Our health begins to burgeon with healing hands. And this experience we call LIFE no longer feels like a daily slog!

Rather, it becomes a daily opportunity to experience pure BLISS!  And after all, isn't that what we are all seeking...?

BE SUPER HEROIC!
BE LOVE - SERVE ALL- ALWAYS INSPIRE

PLEASE....Stay HOPEFUL That Our World Can Still CHANGE...!

We are in the midst of one of the greatest spiritual opportunities of this time or any other point in time on this planet.  Our moral integrity and character are being shown that the ‘system’ we have created the past few hundred years no longer serves us. The brick wall we have been heading towards for decades is now upon us. And we now have a God given choice to make a change that has the ability to completely eradicate the hate, narcissism, greed, apathy, disrespect, fear, and selfishness that has been built into the very fabric of our society.  Just as the Blizzard of 2016 caused us to forge together as one and ‘DIG ’ ourselves out of the snow and ice that pelted half of our country, immobilizing millions of us for days if not weeks, it is now time for us to use that same gusto and fortitude to dig out the empty and shallow energy from the fabric of our INNER BEING. But here is the catch;  IT WON'T BE EASY!  Change never is. And that is why most of us would rather live the same day 10,000 times in a row than face the unknown of what a new day of truth in perception and action may bring.  It can be frightening stuff indeed.  BUT WE CAN DO IT!  We have too! The cost of being complacent is just to great.

WE HAVE CREATED A PLANET THAT IS ACTUALLY DYING FROM CLIMATE CHANGE AND OUR LACK OF COMPASSION FOR OUR FELLOW BROTHERS AND SISTERS IS SLOWLY ERADICATING ANY SENSE OF PURE LOVE FROM OUR COLLECTIVE LIVES....... ESPECIALLY WITH MORE GENUINE SITUATIONAL AWARENESS FOR OUR FAMILY AND FRIENDS....

How many daily storms consisting of mass shootings, torrential weather wiping entire cities off the map, family and friends creating walls of separation against one another, and collective 'blind eyes' towards our fellow brothers and sisters who are in obvious emotional strife and mental pain must we endure; before we turn our fear and frustration into ACTION! And have the courage and fortitude towards a rebirthing process of our body, mind, and spirit. For the highest good of all concerned.

And ironically enough, our programmed biologic center actually transforms and rebirths our cells on a molecular level ever few years. In effect, you are NOT the same person on a cellular level that you were five to ten years ago.  Old cells that no longer served you were let go so that a new version, filled with the new information to create an anabolic energy within your system would be kept in tact.  It is time for us to take a page from our biological programming and start to strip away the old patterns, thoughts, beliefs, and actions that no longer serve us.  Racism, lack, fear, complacency, disrespect, and shallowness must become relics of the past.  Replaced with the LOVE, compassion, joy, wisdom, and kindness that was built into our true spiritual DNA!!  We must be brave and courageous enough to be REBIRTHED into the Greatest Version of the Grandest Vision ever held of ourselves.
And there is NO TIME TO WAIT!

But be forewarned.  The birthing process is an arduous one.  We must be willing to let go of who we thought we were, so that we can become all that we were meant to BE.  And that means there will be a period of time during the transition in which our identify will feel new and awkward.  You may feel depressed or filled with anxiety as the old you(ego) is shed.  This process will no doubt be uncomfortable and even painful at times.   Excruciating so for some!  During this birthing process, we must be squeezed through pressure to get to the other side of our salvation.  And many will want to turn around and go back. The devil we know is often more comforting than the devil we don't.  But the time for excuses died along with chivalry and common sense and dignity.

For those of you currently completely disillusioned with your life, I want you to understand and know that you are NOT A MISTAKE!  This is not the 'Truman Show' and your life is not for the folly of the rest of us viewers.  You are an integral and important part of the process of soulful unfoldment on this planet. You matter.  MORE THAN YOU COULD POSSIBLE KNOW!! Despite the social imprinting that has clouded and covered up the magnificent wings that you carry at your side, whether it be from abuse, poverty, shaming, or any other form of pain and suffering, this does not eradicate the fact that the angel you came here to be is still waiting for you to fly.  To shed the dirt and grime from a lifetime of illusion so that you can remember who you truly are and share that KNOWINGNESS with the world.

So I invite you to be brave enough to stand right where you are and shout to the world that you are a miracle makin' machine!  That you came here to spread your GLORY in all its forms always and in all ways and will not stand for anything less.  As the luminary spiritual philosopher Victor Frankel said, "There are two times we are born in this life.  And the second time is the moment we understand the meaning of our suffering and the purpose it brings to complete our mission here on earth."

And for any of you New Age Nerds who find great inner discord within this grand growth process of the soul, remember, you are never alone! In fact, if you could allow yourself to reconnect (through meditation, prayer, communion with your tribe members, self growth media on any and all platforms) with all the angels and your own spirit guides that are always at your side, you may never feel alone ever again!

SUPERHEROES IN TRAINING TAKEAWAYS:

We are currently living in very precarious times. People are living in FEAR, unsure of what their future may hold.  Our TV screens filled almost daily with images of senseless violence, separation, vitriol, and anger. A cacophony of never-ending  'Cosmic Chaos'.  Yet, in many ways, I am more hopeful than ever before!  Why, you ask? Because I am experiencing an enormous amount of individuals who are beyond sick and tired of 'being sick and tired.' And are choosing to use this time to try and learn, grow, and change - despite the plethora of pain from nearly every corner of our collective lives.  I get SO many personal messages from readers of The New Age Nerd sharing their personal stories of struggle and survival with me.   And I feel incredibly honored and privileged they entrust me with their deep heartfelt longing and pain. Not to mention their sincere desire to experience a more spiritually awakened life.  One that encompasses the reason why we are ALL here.  One filled with purpose and deeper meaning that juxtaposes materialistic binges filled with 'quick hits' of happiness for more long lasting inner BLISS!  And that is simply to give and receive MORE LOVE.........

And for the majority of us, this shift in perspective and clarity occurs through spiritual awakenings.

For many of us, the first sign of a Spiritual Awakening is having what I call a ‘BREAK OPEN.’ This occurs when we are at our own razor's edge.  And life seems to be slowly breaking us down in every way imaginable.  Many people call it hitting ‘rock bottom.’  And it's more than just emotionally painful. It causes us to question the very fabric of our foundational beliefs.  And for those of you currently reading this who are in this state, I want to say CONGRATULATIONS! Because this is a sign that you may be at the precipice of having a Spiritual Awakening.  You are being broken down so that you can ‘Break Open.’   And in doing so, unleash the gifts and talents you were blessed with for the purpose of sharing them with the world!

I am NOT implying that this stage is easy.  FOR IT IS NOT!  I know from a cacophony of my own spiritual awakenings ( most of us will have several versions of spiritual awakenings within our lifetime) experience how scary, painful, and absolutely terrifying it can be.  This stage often includes the letting go of things that no longer serve us;  friends, jobs, even family members. As Marianne Williamson calls it ‘The Day of The Wrecking Ball.’  Because our very foundation must be pulled up and out to allow the space for the new one to be built in its place.  And that my friends, is NO FUN!  Yet it is also a crucial part of the process.  Just like any building, it is ONLY as strong as its foundation, right?  Many of the elements born from our past foundations were manifested into our experience when we were not yet ready to Break Open. And now that we are, some things are going to have to change.  And for a while all the loss, change, and pain may cause us the desire to run back to our old, past surroundings and emotional programming.  As the old saying goes, 'Better the Devil you know than the Devil you don't."

SUPERHERO'S TRAINING TIP:  Please do not do that.....You are preparing to soar with the Eagles rather than continue to cuss out life with the Crows....    ;0)

One of my own personal heroes, the late Wayne Dyer, explained this crucial life stage, “The experience of a crisis immobilizes us for a long period of time. Our mind is focused on the disaster aspects of the situation, and we are unable to function effectively. We are unable to sleep or eat, and do not know how we are going to get past the terrible set of circumstances. We use our minds to focus on what is wrong, how painful it is, and how terrible it is going to be in the future. Advice from friends and relatives seems unrelated to our problem and usually results in anger and frustration. We cannot see any way out of our misery.

This is a typical response for all of us who are traveling our life paths in the belief that the external signposts are all there is to our reality. We cannot imagine that there is a valuable lesson in the trauma. We reject any suggestions that someday we will recall this experience as a necessary step in our development. We simply want to wallow in our hurt, believing that someone or something outside of us is creating this pain, and wishing that those externals would change.”

This stage often includes a short period of malaise and anxiety, or both.  Please know that you are NOT broken- even though it will often feel that way!  What you are doing is getting prepared to birth miracles.  And the birthing process (as you ladies know) is an arduous one.  Not for the faint of heart.  Part of the sadness/anxiety stems from the longing of the things we are letting go of.  Some of it stems from the experience of having a keen awareness that we are not currently following our Superhero's Journey, the very purpose of our life  And leaving our old life behind so that we can accept the life that has been patiently awaiting us can be one of the most daunting endeavors we will ever undertake!

Stage TWO of a Spiritual Awakening is where we begin the slow process of having complete gratitude for our sufferings.  Because we start feeling that our pain and suffering is not in vein. We begin to have connection with and for our pain because we sense there is an important reason behind it.  Things that once seemed chaotic start making sense.  Wayne Dyer explains it like this, “This is an important step in the enlightenment process, and helps us to see how synchronized the one song really is. Certainly we still experience the pain and suffering, but we simultaneously know that there is something magnificent in this as well. We are able to be gentle and accepting with ourselves, and to honor and love even the part that is creating the crisis. We probably will not cognitively understand why this pain is occurring right now, but we will have an underlying knowingness and belief in the value of it.”

Stage THREE of this awakening is ALL ABOUT SYNCHRONICITY.  There comes a moment in which the pain of NOT committing to our awakening and purpose becomes more painful that the thought of taking that leap of faith.  So through pure force of will, we 'TAKE THE JUMP.'  Having faith that Spirit will provide and protect us on this Journey.  And guess what, Spirit  does.  Always and in all ways.  It is a Universal Law  (A promise from SOURCE-THE ONE GOD MIND if you will) that once you truly commit to this Divine Awakening, Spirit will flood your experience with everything you need to fulfill your destiny.  It may not happen all at once. So please, be patient during this stage.  Miracles often take time in this dimension.  But by staying in this new state of allowance, you will begin to experience synchronicity almost daily. People start showing up out of the blue to offer guidance.  Financial opportunities present themselves to help support your vision.  You begin to attract a new TRIBE of like minded friends and a support team. And let me tell you, it's when many first start experiencing the sensation of creating Heaven on Earth!  And it is blissful, and magical.  You cannot imagine living in any other way, ever again!

For those of you who may be skeptical of this process, I can understand.  ESPECIALLY if you are currently in the middle of Stage ONE.  I know, because I've been there.  BOY have I been there! There were many days in which after making it from my bed to the downstairs sofa I would softly declare, "Watch out world, there is NO stopping me now!!"  LOL

Even if it doesn't feel like it right now, LIFE IS A BLESSING!  And please do not beat yourself up for whatever state you currently find yourself in.  You are EXACTLY where you need to be on your Superhero's Journey.  Nothing you have experienced will be wasted. For the Universe wastes absolutely nothing!  And once you reach the place where you are in complete alignment of allowance, and living your PURPOSE, fully awakened to your calling, LIFE WILL NEVER BE THE SAME!

And to assist every New Age Nerd in creating an ever growing sense of internal INSPIRATION, I'd like to leave you with the following transcendent musical lyrics:

ONE by India Arie...........

Billions live their lives
Now Muhammad, Krisha, or the Buddha are the way.
Still some believe it's right to say
In the name of Jesus when you pray.

[Chorus:]
We are a human kind of 7 billion
So many different races and religions
And it all comes down to one

Some say God's a him
Still many believe that He is a Her
Does God Live in our hearts?
Or is She somewhere out there in the universe.

[Chorus]

How far will have to go before we learn the lesson?
Gandhi, was a Hindu
Martin Luther King, a Christian
Regardless of religion, they knew love was the mission
And it all comes down to one.

Is there no God at all?
Or a pantheon of gods up in the sky
We can heal our broken hearts
If we give up the desire to be right.

We are a human kind of seven billion
So many different races and religions
And we all want the same things
Health, Love, Prosperity and Peace
Tolerance is the seed
And the gift of pure acceptance is the tree

[Chorus]

Whether you are red, brown, yellow, black, or white
Man with a husband, or a woman with a wife
We can debate until the end of time who is wrong or right
Or we can see ourselves as one
Cause it all comes down to love.

BE SUPER HEROIC!
LOVE - SERVE - INSPIRE

STAY SO STRONG, THEY HAVE TO WONDER HOW YOU'RE STILL SMILING!
