Your DESTINY Cannot Be Completed Without YOU..!!

At times LIFE can seem arduous and unfair.  Challenging and incredibly painful.  There are even times when we feel like giving up on our dreams and the way we envisioned our life to BE!  Hell, some days just finding the strength to get out of bed seems like a miracle within itself.  So let me ask you a question?  WHY DO WE DO IT?!?!?  Why do we endure the emotionally, physical, and spiritual pain and continue to move forward in our daily lives?  Do you want to know my answer?  I hoped so!!  LOL

I fervently BELIEVE it all comes down to our DESTINY.  I have a KNOWINGNESS that when each and everyone one of us manifested into the human condition, we were imprinted with a special purpose that ONLY WE CAN ACCOMPLISH.   In our own special, indelible manner!  Thats why frequent readers of The New Age Nerd know I am a GI-normous proponent of The Hero's Journey.  I truly and enthusiastically know that we are all here to follow our TRUE PATH that like Dorothy in the Wizard of Oz will lead us to our earthly salvation.  And I know that it is easy for me to sit here in my underwear (did I say that out loud?)and type these musings while there is real suffering out in the streets.  Hell, even in my own circle of friends and family.  I have several members of my TRIBE who are currently in the hospital suffering from a malady of illnesses.  God bless them!  

But our wounds and pain lead us to our power.  And then once we realize just how powerful we truly are we can use that power to fuel our PURPOSE.  That is what the Hero's Journey is all about.  And it isn't until we realize this fact that life takes on whole new meaning.  We no longer look at life as a daily slog through a job we can't stand and relationships that do not serve us.  We start to realize that NOTHING IN OUR LIFE HAS EVER BEEN WASTED!!  All the loss, strife, missteps, and suffering has been to help us Re-member who we are and then transform into the superpowers to assist us on our Hero's Journey!  Pretty rad stuff, huh?!?

One thing that comes up pretty frequently with my clients is the fear that things have passed them by. That they had their chance(or plenty of chances) and blew them all.  THOSE ARE NO THING LESS THAN LIMITED BELIEFS!  TRUST....  ;0)  The Universe is absolutely UNLIMITED in its abundance and life is not a carnival that gives out limited amount of tickets to use along the way.   NO!  In fact, it is quite the opposite.  We have our own personal printing machine that allows us as many chances as we need to finish our quest.  And I LOVE THAT!! Two for the ferris wheel please!  :0)

In fact, here is a little something you may choose to incorporate into your daily morning practice starting tomorrow morning.  As you awake, and slowly shake off the night's cobwebs of consciousness, try sitting up in bed.  Take a few deep breaths and inhale GRATITUDE for being alive.  And then offer a prayer of THANKS for having woke this particular morning.  Why you ask?!?  Because it is a miraculous sign.  It is a tap on the shoulder from your spirit guides that your purpose has not yet been fulfilled.  And the proof in that preverbal pudding is because you came back from your night's slumber.  Your destiny has not yet been completely tended to.  It is a sign written in the sun's bright light that YOU STILL HAVE MUCH TO DO!! And if THAT isn't enough to keep you moving through the individual challenges of your life, I don't know what can!!

And for those in your TRIBE who are having a particular challenging time right now, please help them Re-member the words you read today!  It may just give them enough HOPE to continue on their Hero's/Heroine's Journey and fulfill the wondrous DESTINY and PURPOSE they came here to accomplish!!

WAKE UP CALL..... WE ARE ALL ONE..!!!

As my continued daily thoughts and prayers search out their ways back towards both the victims, friends and family members from this past weekend's shooting massacres, I wanted to shed some light on what I believe to be the core spiritual problematic issue at hand in our world. 

And before you decide to discontinue reading any further, please have the solace found in the knowingness that my discourse today has absolutely nothing to do with bipartisanship. For now, I will leave those talking points to the plethora of political pundits that fill our nightly TV screens.

Folks, the core issue that is causing the majority of hatred, pain, and suffering in our World is coming from the acceptance of the "Illusionary Veil of Separation." Collectively, we have truly forgotten Who We Truly Are and the individual CALLING that we came here to fulfill. Please read that last sentence OUT LOUD once again! Because, my fellow New Age Nerds, the forgetfulness that WE ARE ALL ONE is at the crux of the majority of our World's current dilemmas. Sounds overly simplistic, I know. Yet, I promise you, IT IS THE TRUTH! 

Like millions of other teachers, coaches, healers, priests, and pastors, I spend the majority of my time trying to assist others to re-member the basic tenets of grounded spirituality; free from barren promises or false truths. Perhaps the most crucial and impactful of which is always being of loving service to everyone!

Life on this planet has "sprung eternal" for thousands of years based on the one unifying truth that we are all ONE!! Unfortunately, this beautiful tenet has slowly eroded throughout each and every generation, until it is now, in the mind's eye of the planet's majority, no thing more than a story for the pages of our favorite fairy tales. Which causes such pain and sorrow within the constructs of my own SOUL. And I would gather I am by no means alone in this sentiment! 

Without getting overly esoteric, I would love to share, for the purpose of universal re-memberance, that we live on this planet which is composed from a matrix of pure energy. It was actually constructed by and for us!  So that we may bend time and space. All to experience the greatest heartfelt desires placed within our spiritual DNA. Pretty cool stuff, right?! 

So why was such a place formed for these type of experiences in the first place?! Fantastic and prudent question! Because each and every one of us ARE MADE FROM LOVING FRAGMENTS THAT COMPOSE THE UNIVERSE IN ALL ITS GREATEST CREATIVE FORCES!  The Universe is actually experiencing itSELF as and through us! 

Just as Simba learned in The Lion King, there is a 'Circle of Life' that we all share. And just as he pondered the true meaning of life, now is a crucial time for all of us to do the very same!

It's quite a profound question to tackle. And one that has caused more thoughtful pondering than any other since the dawn of existence.  I am not saying that I have the BE ALL answer that everyone has been searching for throughout the ages. But what this New Age Nerd DOES HAVE is an answer that after much study and contemplating with mentors around the United States and through a slew of spiritual programs I have been privileged enough to attend the last 20 odd years, resonates most deeply within my Soul.  So I will share it with all of you, with the intention that at least parts of it will feel like a sliver of TRUTH within your inner knowingness as well.  Fair deal?!!  Fantastico!!

Of course, by now, hopefully we are all aware that each of us are spiritual beings having a human experience.  But why?!?  Why would we choose to leave the comforting confines of a Spiritual Realm that surrounds us with the constant knowingness that we are LOVE and that eradicates all FEAR and Suffering?!  Some will say it is to manifest our Desires.  Ok, that makes some sense.  BUT, can't we do that instantaneously on the other side?!  I believe we can.  Still others think our Journey is to feel good and share that feeling with others.  I think nuggets of that rings true.  But it just doesn't feel like a full spiritual meal, does it?!  And of course there are MANY who ardently think we are here to prove our worth so that we can be ALLOWED back into God's Heavenly chambers for all eternity.  Yet, according to so many spiritual teachers, Heaven is not a place but a STATE OF BEING! Kinda tough to be forbidden to enter a chamber in which we already own the key, right?!  LOL

So what if we allowed ourselves to come at this question from a completely different perspective.  One that is very HEART centered and completely LOVE based.  What if I told you that we are all here for the ‘Unfoldment of Our Soul?’  And by Unfoldment I mean being in alignment with only the LOVE that our Heart holds within all its makeup.  And ALLOWING that Love to unfold in any and every imaginable way that we can possibly conceive for the further expansion of the Universe!!  Let THAT sink in for a minute or two...........

Universal growth and expansion occurs when the very essence that created it allows itself to be greater today that it was yesterday.   And still greater the day after that.  Every time we share an expression of that LOVE within us, the Universe grows exponentially.  And that is EXACTLY what the Universe desires.  To become the Grandest Version of itself.  But it can ONLY do that through you, as me, for him, by her.  Does that make sense?!?  That is because, as stated earlier, we are ALL ONE!!  One of the greatest masters of all time, Jesus the Christ, espoused that almost daily-  “That which you do to others, you do unto me.”  Can't get much clearer than that in my book!

And here is where things get completely and fabulously magical; every time YOUR PURPOSE is to emit and unfold your heart and soul through acts of LOVE and kindness, and your Spirit expands as you do so!  And I think that's pretty damn cool!  How and why does this happen, you ask?  Because the very SOURCE that we all come from gave us the incredible power of free will.  And it can only channel LOVE through us to the extent that there is ROOM TO DO SO!  And everytime you stretch your HEART SONG, you are opening up a larger portal from which SOURCE can work its miracles and magic!  And you thought the magic in Harry Potter was all pomp and circumstance....LOL 

Now just as the scientific principle of cause and effect is a very real phenomenon here on earth, so is the invert action when any of us CONSTRICT our own Heart Song; thus keeping the full unfoldment of our soul from taking place.  And that is EXACTLY what is occurring on our planet as I write this post.  Because the effect of this constricting nature causes Fear and Angst to run supreme.  And SOURCE energy has very little it can do to remedy the situation. As we continue to live from a vibration of greed, fear, jealousy, and disrespect, the very reason for our BEING here is jeopardized.  And guess what, it is currently affecting not only the United States, but all of planet Earth as well.

One microcosm of this reality are all the deadly prejudice based massacre's that have been plaguing the United States the last few years. For instance, the shooter who needlessly ended the lives of 22 Mexican Americans in El Paso Texas this weekend; hate fueled actions by an administration that continues to spread white supremacist sentiments. Absolutely sickening! And carried out by someone who had completely lost any form of connection to the fact THAT WE ARE ALL ONE...................


That is why we are seeing climate change start to wreck havoc on every corner of our shores  as well.  It is a real occurrence that threatens to end life as we know it within the next 50 years folks!!  That thought alone should cause us all to think about our real reason for BEING.  Should it not?!!?

So I would like to offer  up the following suggestions.  One is to RELAX!  And take a walk, meditate, call a close friend, read a book or write.  Anything that calms your mind and centers you.  And then truly ponder the many ways in which you can begin to assist your soul in its inherent nature of unfoldment.  And Re-member, as Gandalf the Great from The Lord Of the Rings says, “It is the little acts of everyday kindness that I have found holds the darkness at bay.” And to never forget the re-memberance that "Separation is an Illusion!"   WE ARE ALL ONE. Black, white, or brown.  Still ALL ONE! Gay, straight, transgender, lesbian, or gay; still ALL ONE! Republican, democratic, or independent; ALL ONE MY FRIENDS!!   

Please, I beg all of you. Start using the gift found in the "Illusion of Separation" to be the healing balm it was created to be! For us to experience our most heartfelt desires. Not to become a permanent reality of supremists! I ask that you "dip your toe" in the illusion of separation. All for the gifts that it can afford. But please, DO NOT jump within it's pond! Where you will forget Who You Really Are! Which is a perfect emanation of Heaven sent LOVE!

So many individuals refrain from doing the small acts of kindness that this world currently seeks. If any one of you are in this camp, please understand, it is these very acts of LOVE that keeps the World from shrinking into a state of permanent Unconsciousness! 

While holding signs and standing in protest is a magnificent gesture in conviction toward the change we seek to experience, one that changes our vibration from hate and fear to love, it takes more than that to truly cause a rift in our behavioral patterns back toward our true essence of pure awakened consciousness.  For you who are still racking your noggins on what I mean, here is a small list of actionable steps seeped in LOVE that any of us can partake in:

1.  Go visit a senior assisted living home and spend time with the residents.  You will be AMAZED at the sharing of LOVE you will be engaged with!

2. Volunteer at a food kitchen for the needy.  One out of four people in the US go hungry EVERY day.  What would it feel like to contribute toward that atrocity?!

3.  Go check in on your elderly or disabled neighbors.  Even if it is just to sit with them so they know someone cares.  I am currently assisting a neighbor who has diabetes, no left arm, and MS. And no family to care for her.  Simply bringing her a morning coffee often brings tears to her eyes!

4. Stop and actually acknowledge the next homeless person you encounter.  You don't always need to offer them money.  Simply looking them in the eye and letting them know you see them and that they matter can make the biggest difference to these precious SOULS. 

5.  Choose one person a day to reach out to with a quick email or even better a PHONE CALL to tell them how much they mean to you.  And how wonderful and valuable they have been in your life.

6.  Visit a dog shelter and sign up to be a dog walker for the poor pups who are stuck in cages all day.  After all DOG spelled backwards is GOD!

7.  Find a local church or community Good Will center and inquire to see if they need volunteers to help in any fashion.  Free help to institutions low on funds is always a Heavenly sent gift!

8.  Sign up to be a mentor for a young boy or girl who is in the foster system.   Teach them through your actions that the world validates their worth and assist them on a path toward a purpose that will give them HOPE and Faith on their Hero's/Heroines's Journey.

I'm sure if you thought about it, you could come up with your own list of things that perfectly fit your own sensibilities of supreme service.  And I hope that starting today, you do just that.  I know we are all busy, and that time is a precious commodity.  But if your intentions are pure, the Universe will create time where there was previous only chaos.  As we New Age Nerds are aware, time is just an illusion.  But the need for our collective consciousness to create long lasting change is NOT!

As Marianne Williamson says, “ A miracle is a shift from fear to LOVE.”  And the fastest and most indelible way to create a Miracle is through the action of LOVE!!!

And share this information (heck share this post with as many people as you know) with others.  So we can start a love chain reaction that grows our collective heart songs to unheard levels.  A spiritual American Idol of nothing but LOVE songs!!  And let your soul unfold back into the pureness and delicate nature of LOVE.  That is the answer we are waiting for and the only real call to action that can cause us to eradicate the tipping point that this planet and all the souls on it currently reside in..........

TIPS To Create SUPER Powerfully Creative PRAYERS....!

TODAY'S INSPIRATIONAL “MYTHOLOGICAL MAGIC”

When I was growing up, a part of my nightly ritual was saying my prayers right before going to bed. And as I now look back with the 20/20 vision of pure hindsight as my guide, I can see the Gi-normous difference in the energy that was behind the words uttered all those thousands of nights ago versus how I pray today!  While I do not believe in right versus wrong, or  in advocating the manner in which anyone chooses to connect with their own sense of Godliness, I have Re-membered through the guidance of many mentors, teachers, and coaches some sage suggestions regarding the manner in which to pray! 

Many of us (myself included back in the day) see the act of praying as a way of asking for that which we DESIRE or hope to bring into our experience.  Be it money, a job, a partner, and often God's healing hands to bring the ending of pain, suffering, or dis-ease to ourselves or those that we LOVE.  Seemingly, prayer becomes something akin to a Universal ‘Wish List’ for a SOURCE (God, Spirit, Infinite Intelligence ) to fulfill at our command.  And I DO NOT use the word WISH lightly in the previous sentence.  As in, wishful thinking or wishing that all of our dreams come true.  As we all now know, everything is made up of energy.  Including our prayers.  Especially our prayers.  And I truly believe that using prayer with any sense of wishful energy behind it is No Thing less than a POOR PRAYER!  

Prayer is perhaps the most potent and powerful ally that we have in this illusional plane of existence. And too many of us are not taking full advantage of its power of TRANSFORMATION!!  You must Re-member that YOU ARE A CHILD OF GOD!!  A perfectly unique emanation of Godly LOVE and energy that is cherished beyond your comprehension.  And that life is actually rigged in your favor.  I know, I know, it often appears as though the complete opposite were true!  For years, I felt like the Universe forgot who I was, where I lived, and what I desired.  I refused to even utter the words, “Well at least it can't get any worse than THIS!”  Because quite often, IT DID!!  But through my many years of self transformational work and study, I have come to understand that one CORE issue that was at the root cause of my devastating frustration was the manner in which I prayed.  

My prayers used to be filled with anxious energy and a sense of urgency that was completely antithetical to what I was trying to obtain.  Not unlike a child who writes his wish list to Santa every year, and then rushes down the stairs on Christmas morning hoping that what they wrote down on that piece of paper was siting under the tree.  

My prayers look and sound much differently now.  Where before I would ask God for what I desired, often feeling afterward like I wasn't even completely worthy of it.  Another perfect example of POOR PRAYING!!  I have found the act of prayer to be most effective when it is used as an act of GRATITUDE and THANKS.  This Universe and all of the LOVE that created it desires only for all of us to have the  grandest experiences of our heartfelt desires being met and fulfilled!  So when we come to God/Spirit with a prayer, I highly suggest it is fully ensconced with a steely energy of certainty and knowingness that it will be granted.  A prayer is the ultimate THANK YOU note you will ever write or say to anyone!!  It is your personal connection with an unlimited amount of pure LOVE that governs the Universe.  Prayer is greatly weakened when it is filled with wishful thinking and ANY sense of doubt about its ability to manifest into your experience.  It is an eternal handshake with the Universe that ‘As you ASK, so shall you RECEIVE.’  And so it is!!

Please Re-member, what we desire and seek out in our lives, is often NOT wrapped in the packaging that we have held in our mind's eye when it is delivered.  So be sure to leave plenty of room for Spirit to work its magic within your own life when you pray.  Trust me, God knows and understands what is in our best interest far better than we do!  How often have you looked back on your own life and been actually thankful that what you asked for didn't come your way or stay in your life?!?  Yet something even grander and more DIVINE did in its place?!  That is exactly what I am referring to when I say don't always judge a book by its preverbal cover.  

I would like to leave you with what a typical prayer looks like for me nowadays.  Not for you to copy or imitate, but to further help you Re-member the energetic resonance that makes full use of the true power of prayer!!

Dear God, as I KNOW you to be the source of all that is, I would like to say Thank You for already starting the process of bringing the exact people , places, and experiences into my life that will allow me to continue to be of service to all those still living in the darkness of their own Soul.  For I believe that before my words were even uttered, you began this miraculous process of knowingness into my existence.  I trust that you can see within my heart so deep, that you have already started sending the perfect versions of that which will be for the Highest Good of all concerned into all of my daily co-creations!  God, my dreams are big, however I know that the vision you hold for me is even bigger and grander than what I can even imagine!  And that I need only to ALLOW the abundance waiting for me to flow into my life in a perfect and divine time and manner.  I understand that some of these miracles may be challenging, but will Re-member they were brought to me for my own Hero's Journey!   And so it is..........

The TIME IS NOW Upon US!!!

TODAY'S INSPIRATIONAL “MYTHOLOGICAL MAGIC”

Waking up to the tragic truth of the constant mass shootings that have now been woven into the fabric of our fear filled daily lives has become utterly intolerable. Too many cities and their victims from the past ten years alone are too incomprehensive to properly honor in their sacrifices to mention here.  The anger filled angst, fear, frustration, and disillusionment that has become the new emotional "constant" in our country is absolutely unfathomable.  Not to mention disgraceful, and filled with a hate mongering that has not only torn, but completely RIPPED the fabric that our forefathers fought and sacrificed their own lives to cement as a legacy to leave behind.  All to be shared with every generation of precious SOUL's to ever grace this planet; long after they had transitioned back to pure LOVE!

Prior to today, I have completely refrained in using my blog's pulpit and growing audience as a way to influence any political based discourse on the "State of the Nation." Why?! Because the core intention of my writings the past four years has been to UNIFY, INSPIRE, ENLIGHTEN, and offer a sanctuary for anyone seeking a safe haven to call home. Free from the vitriol that often accompanies political discourse in this Country.  Well, that ends with this very post...............................

While watching the Washington, D.C. based Sunday morning staple this early afternoon, "Meet the Press" with anchor Chuck Todd, a member of President Trump's cabinet, Chief of Staff , Mick Mulvaney (I guess Trump was too busy Tweeting to 'Face The Camera's HimSELF') fielded questions from Todd regarding the two, back to back mass shootings in Ohio and Texas leaving 29 dead over the weekend. And do you know what his continued "canned" and sickening response became after fifteen minutes of political discourse between the two?! 

"There are too many 'CRAZY' people in this country! Our number one priority is to make sure we have proper checks on all the CRAZY people in the United States!"

Are you FU*&ING kidding me?! As one of the 50 million people in the United States who suffers from some form of mental health malady, I found his comments to be based on utter fear mongering and damaging to the mental health STIGMA that so many of us are still  fighting to overcome! 

And yet, while former President Barack Obama was openly fielding questions in front of a podium to help soothe our combined collective conscious pain, our current President, as per usual, was too busy tweeting to be visibly seen. 

While concrete facts on the separate massacres continue to pour in, what we can ascertain as truth is the following. This is the 21st mass killing in the United States this year alone. Truly difficult to try and digest!

I love National Democratic Presidential candidate Senator Cory Booker's (D-NJ) take on these recent attacks on our nation's morality and invasion, eradicating our basic rights to safety!

"I would like to speak on moral clarity right now. Because I worry that we will forget that we are all responsible for each other in this country.  The moral bonds and fabric in our country. We have a President of the United States who is particularly responsible. I have this idea that you reap what you sow. And he is sowing seeds of hatred in our country. And this harvest of hate violence lies at his feet. Especially when you have a President from the highest moral values of our land, talking about invasions and infestations and shit hole cities (Baltimore) that are nothing but rat infested!"

I'll have all my New Age Nerd compadres know that I lived just outside of Baltimore City, from 2015-2016. And in full disclosure, I purchased a rent to own petrified brick home built in 1857.  I later learned it was the political home base of many of this country's greatest grass root political speeches of the last 200 years! (And yes, I have the tattered and torn pictures to prove it!  lol) Just ask if you want to see them!! They are pretty frickin' awesome! ;0) 

The very first week that my girlfriend at the time and I moved into this seemingly fortified townhouse, we were apprehensively awakened at 7:00 AM in the morning to a car that crashed directly into the right corner of our new home!  BOOM! POW! 

I was busy showering and shaving for my long, hour long trek into Washington  D.C., where my daily based Time Media office awaited me. Understandably, I threw bodily caution to the wind and ran down stairs with great fear and a deep desire of uncovering the root cause of the bombastic noise! 

A young African American man was trying to escape his motored safe haven, having stolen said vehicle after a city wide chase by the Baltimore City Police.  From the kitchen's window, I could see this scared young man spring from his stolen vehicle to highjack away from the City police who were giving close chase! 

Before I could throw on the proper attire to assist in giving chase to this young man, I noticed that the car he had crashed into our home was just inches away from the local gas line that diligently made its way up our private driveway! Seriously, the car was teetering and tottering less than six inches away from a potential block long explosion that would have wiped out the lives of me, my girlfriend, and newly rescued pup Maya! No joke..... Holy Smokes, right?!  I still believe that it was a sign that my work here on Earth is not yet done!

The proper authorities, after a long chase through our back yard, 12 mile creek, finally apprehended him.  And I mention this only to shed light on the fact that this young man was desperately poor. Not "CRAZY," as our own administration would have us believe as a way to circumvent taking any responsibility for the lack of opportunity that is a way of life for millions of fellow Americans!  In fact, we later found a hand written note floating in our brittle river that had fallen out of his pocket while giving chase to authorities.  It was from his mother. She eloquently wrote in this personal note that her son needed desperate help. He had found only abandonment in his short life. And was seeking some form of spiritual direction as a balm to serve as a way to heal his shattered and broken heart! There hasn't been ONE DAY that I haven't thought about that note during the past four years! Because, while this young man's actions deserved the repercussions that derived them, to this day, I feel it is the system that let him down. As a spiritual teacher, I spread the message that nobody can make a mistake.  A MISSTEP, absolutely! But we all navigate life with the comprehensive set of experiences that we have accumulated at any given point in time. And we base our actions accordingly.

And that is another reason why I believe our current head of Administration is simply spreading poison, hate, and fear amongst the collective consciousness. Divisiveness that rather than creating a singular point of understanding, is spewing a vitriolic space of  disconnection that continues to cause us to fall under the veil of evil, egoic illusion. 

Who amongst you are aware that just last week, President Trump tweeted the following: "Rep. Elijah Cummings (D-Baltimore) has been a brutal bully. And our great African American President (Barack Obama) hasn't exactly had a positive influence on the thugs who are so happily and openly destroying Baltimore."

"Baltimore is a rat and rodent infested mess."  Yet, so few are aware of another of Trump's sickening secrets. His son-in law, Jared Kushner,  happens to own a great portion of Baltimore's Inner City housing projects! 

Jared Kushner's familial real estate firm owns thousands of apartments and townhomes in the Baltimore area, and most have been criticized for the same kind of disrepair and neglect that the president has accused local leaders of failing to address. Residents have complained about mold, bedbugs, leaks and, yes, mice - plenty of mice. And they say management appears in no hurry to fix the problems.

"They don't care," says Dezmond James, who says he has spotted as many as three mice a week since he moved in to the Commons at White Marsh in suburban Middle River four years ago.

James says he sees a massive contradiction in Trump's much-publicized tweets laying the blame for Baltimore's poverty, crime and rodent problems on frequent antagonist Maryland Rep. Elijah Cummings. Trump, he said, should look more at what he - and specifically Kushner - could do about it.

"His son-in-law owns all of this - then he can fix it. I'm pretty sure he has a lot of money," says James, who is studying to be a medical assistant. "That's kind of weird that you want to talk trash. ... If you want to make improvements, you can make improvements."

Conditions got so bad two years ago that the Baltimore County government issued a release showing the Kushner Cos. had violated housing codes more than 200 times in just 10 months and only moved to fix the problems after being threatened with fines.

"I had black mold in my cabinets. I called them, I called them, I called them. And they never did anything," says Simone Ryer who moved out of Whispering Woods in Middle River two years ago. "That was more than enough for me to leave."

In a statement, the Kushner Co. said it was proud of its Baltimore-area apartments and has worked to maintain a "high quality residential experience for our tenants" by investing "substantial amounts" in upkeep. 

Let me ask you? Have you ever found yourSELF to be so hungry that the excrutiatingly deflection of moral ambiguity would allow you to take (hopefully, peacefully) the very basic necessities to secure the survival of you and your family?! Seriously?! Because one out of every three Americans are faced with that very dilemma each and every day! Sobering, and hopefully both an internal and external talking point for you and your closest tribe members! 

Allow me to let you peer into the existential secrets about our great county, The United States of America! While guaranteed "Health Care" is a basic building block and promise of most every other developed country in the World, the one exception excluded from this necessity is the United States! And I should know. During the past five years, I have racked up over $25 K in unpaid health care bills!! During which times I have been tasked with the following two decisions. Have the life saving surgeries and medicines my body required or die!  That simple! Easy decision, right?! While I have the financial fortitude to pay back my debtors, most of those in my exact position DO NOT!

Too many of us are living in poverty when the truth is, if the top 2% of this world's richest individuals gave just 10% of their net worth away, there would NEVER be another person who goes to bed hungry ever again.  There is no reason for the state and condition that this world resonates within!  NONE.  We have all the resources and abundance to take care of everyone on the planet.  Yet did you know that 30% of this planet has NO IDEA how they are going to get food or water on a daily basis!!  Sickening......... And I'll have to leave the discourse on the potential of Global Climate Change for another time!!

Too many of us live in a bubble.  Our inner monologue being “What can I do to change things?” and then simply go about with our day.  Well I have come up with a list of things that we can ALL do to assist others in Re-memering Who They Truly Are.  And that is unique and perfect emanations of Godliness and Divine Source and Spirit.  Utter perfection!  Beautiful and magnificent in the most individual of ways!

So here are some suggestions from the New Age Nerd Manifesto of how we can begin to truly become the HEROES for ourselves and one another that this world so desperately needs. And pronto!  Tenets that are the antithesis of everything the Trump Administration stands for...............

A New Age Nerd knows we are all Spiritual beings having a Human experience.

He acknowledges the true power of his words, and thus chooses them with care, intention, and kindness.  And shares loving compliments of acknowledgement with abundant grace.

A New Age Nerd strives to ‘practice what they preach’,  for they know that a spiritual vocabulary without action becomes No Thing more than Spiritual Entertainment.

She has the deep understanding that Energy is finite, so she does not waste hers on things she cannot control.

He knows separation is an illusion.. and that WE ARE ALL ONE.

A New Age Nerd does not confuse kindness...  With weakness   EVER!

He understands that every soul has a purpose..  And makes it his mission to Rock This World on his Hero's Journey.  And help others Re-member what their purpose is!

She accepts that the one thing she has full control over is who she associates with ..  As it will be the greatest  determining factor of her happiness and success. So she picks her TRIBE with a WICKED WISDOM.

The opinions of others have little effect on a New Age Nerd, for they know they only have to PROVE things to themselves.

A New Age Nerd understands the difference between Success and SIGNIFICANCE.  So they are always looking to bring more value into the world.

He believes the greatest gift we have been given is the PRESENT. 

So his favorite motto is BE HERE NOW.

She is a ‘SOULdier’ for LOVE.  A fierce Connoisseur of Consciousness.  A Ravishing Rock Star of Spirit.  And a Steward of Remembrance.  So she reminds others that they are too.

A New Age Nerd understands that they may be the only bible/torah/koran that someone will ever read.  Thus they hold each and every Co-creation as SACRED.  And treat one another with respect , acknowledgment and kindness, always and in ALL WAYS.

He strives to be worthy of his sufferings.  For his definition of a ‘Sin’ is to suffer without meaning.  

She takes RESPONSIBILITY for her actions.  No complaining, no explaining.

A New Age Nerd commits daily to become ‘The Greatest Version of The Grandest Vision’ ever held of themselves.  In this way, they worry not about being better than others, but rather BEING better than they used to be.

She knows surrendering is the highest form of ALLOWANCE.  So she surrenders her Spirit to the Universe often, as not to block the Abundance always waiting for her highest good.

A New Age Nerd has a fervent FAITH that everything and anything other than LOVE, is simply an ILLUSION.

It is my heartfelt DESIRE and  wish that we begin to incorporate these type of actions toward our fellow brothers and sisters starting TODAY!! No more waiting.  The time is NOW.  And so I hope we can all begin a daily practice of inner awakening to the reality of our true essence.  And share this KNOWINGNESS in every co-creation we have.  The disenfranchised of this world are worthy of our time and effort.  So that they can be seen, heard, and know they truly matter!  Because if not, you will have a harsh awakening to Re-member that the ONLY form of currency once on the ‘other side‘ is your level CONSCIOUSNESS..........

TODAY'S INSPIRATIONAL “MYTHOLOGICAL MAGIC”

I want you to think back to a time in your life, in which there was such irreconcilable differences between you and another individual who you cared for DEEPLY!  Do you ever recall thinking, “I wish he/she knew how this is making me feel right now.  And what the truthful beating of my heart truly FEELS like in this very moment!”  I know I sure have had that thought too many times to recall.  Well....not according to my therapist, he has them all written down.  :0)  LOL

Well today I am going to share with you that wishes do indeed come TRUE!  For those of you who had a chance to read my post ‘The Making of a New Age Nerd Part 3’ I retold the story of being deathy ill and being visited twice by an amalgam of SOURCE energy called The Elders.  Before continuing reading today's entry, I highly suggest going back to read that post before continuing with what I have to say today.  (The post can be found under the July archives)  

Ok, for the rest of you, let's continue!  Hopefully you will recall that during my visits with The Elders, they communicated with me strictly through FEELINGS.  One by one, the three of them approached my bedside and touched me with a knowing hand.  And then, something too magical for even an 80's Spielberg film occurred.  They began to transmit their feelings and thoughts through me from their energetic essence, straight into my mind's eye.  And as much as I absolutely adore words, I must admit that this form of communication was so clear, intense, and devoid of any subtext or misconception that I felt my body literally vibrating at a much higher level than I ever have since those experiences those many years ago.  There was no them and I, only ONE in the room.  If that makes sense.  I felt completely bathed in LOVE and supported with a knowingness that I AM NEVER ALONE!  EVER!  And neither are you!!

However, one thing I never described in my previous post was their explanation of what happens when you transition from this human form, back into the Source energy from which we all came.  It started when I discovered that I could communicate back to them through my innate feelings.  So I asked them if I was in Heaven.  And they instantly calmed my fears by assuring me that it was not yet my time.  And I will know when it is because after making the transition, I like every other soul, will go through an intensive LIFE REVIEW.  I would ‘relive’ my life from beginning to end, but in every co-creation I ever encountered, I would EXPERIENCE IT FROM THE PERSPECTIVE OF THE OTHER.  So I would be given the opportunity to know EXACTLY how anyone and everyone who ever came into my life felt at any given point in time during their moments in my presence.  I was informed that the process was NOT a tool used to hurt, punish, or bring vengeance, but rather as the ultimate teaching practice the Universe has to offer.  

The next morning when I awoke, I couldn't stop thinking about what The Elders had shared with me. Part of me was scared shitless!  Thinking back to times when I know I lashed out in anger and said things that I didn't really mean, and how it will feel to know the pain and anguish that it must have made so many people in my life experience.  But the more I thought about it, the more it made complete sense.  Can you think of a better way of teaching and learning about how your actions and words effect the vibrations of the world?!?!  I have been pondering that question for nearly 20 years and still can't think of anything that even comes close!  If you can, PLEASE let me know!  

I can completely understand if many of you reading this are skeptical of its nature and truth.  And I don't blame you one bit.  However, I ask you this.  If there is just a 10% chance that what I was told that night 20 years ago is true, how might it impact the way you live your life from this point forward.  Will you work harder at shifting your perspective toward others from judgement, fear, and any form of prejudice or hate into compassion and LOVE?!?  Or  in a moment of temporary egoic rage tearing down another's beliefs for the quick fix of ‘being right.’  Or will you Re-member that you can choose to be loving, or you can choose to be right.  But rarely can you choose to be BOTH.

I know what my answer to the above questions are, and I challenge all New Age Nerds to ponder what changes they will choose to make in their lives when they awake from their slumber tomorrow morning to each and every Soul they encounter during their Hero's Journey............

Your Greatest Gift is BEING CONSCIOUS In Every Moment Of Your LIFE..!

Today's “Mythological Magic”

Unfortunately, I have attended more than my fair share of funerals the last three years.  We all know how fast life goes but attending the passing of a dear friend or relative truly puts us nose to nose with our own mortality.  As Steve Jobs often espoused, our own mortality is one of the greatest motivating factors to pursue your dreams.  

One common trait that I have witnessed during these celebrations of a Spirit's life is the manner in which eulogies of the beloved still left behind tend to be expressed.  There is usually VERY little time allotted to the individuals achievements, honors, created financial abundance, or how much ‘Stuff’ they accumulated.  Do you know the one common emotional trait that runs through nearly each and every one of these heartfelt expositions during eulogy time happens to be??  It's simple actually.  HOW DID THAT PERSON MAKE YOU FEEL is the resounding answer!!  And it makes complete and total sense.  Why you ask?!  Because FEELINGS are the guideposts to our Soul! So when we are engaged with compassion, reverence, respect, love, and loyalty it awakens our Soul and allows it to grow exponentially  so that it, in turn, can ‘pass it on’ and share that same kindness with others!  

In fact, most of the stories I have been fortunate enough to hear during these funerals (celebrations of life) have to do with how someone offered comfort and support during times of trouble and tribulation in another's life.  Or how they always had a knack of making a group laugh raucously during get togethers.  While the stories are too many to recall, the one thing they ALL had in common was that they touched in some way HOW THAT INDIVIDUAL MADE OTHERS FEEL during their co-creations together.  

Think about it for a moment;  when you tend to take the time to reminance about a loved one that has passed, what mental images do you conjure?  DO you think about how many houses they had, or the type of cars they would drive?  Or do you think of the deep soul centered  warm and loving feelings that are still a part of your Being?  I think I know what the answer may be!   ;0)

Rev. Michael Beckwith, founder of the Agape center in Los Angeles used to often declare with such conviction, “Be aware and very present with each and every encounter you make on a daily basis while on this Earth.  Because YOU may be the ONLY bible that person ever reads, and you have a responsibility to shine your light as bright as possible in every co-creation you have!”  Amen my New Age Nerds!!!

While it is in all of our best interests to BE HERE NOW, sometimes the stresses and complications of our busy lives tend to get in the way of that goal.  Perhaps Re-membering the fact that your most powerful lasting impression you will ever make on another is how you make them feel will be a wonderful reminder to stay PRESENT in every co-creation.  We never know what another person we meet may be going through and how the impact we can have in their life by the way we make them feel in that precious moment.  

There is a wonderful story told to me many years ago about a young boy who, to say the least, was far from popular.  On many days, while he would make his way from school back to his home, he would be bullied by a group of unconscious bullies.  

Yet on one particular day, a member of the school's football team saw the bullying occurring and intervened by stepping in with his physical prowess and assisted this young man in collecting the books and papers the bullies had kicked to the ground.  

Many years later, that same young man, became valedictorian of his graduating class and told the story of the day he was helped by another student who cared enough to make him feel like his life mattered.  It was a monumental moment in his life, because he was courageous enough to say that he had planned on committing suicide later that day.  

So the next time you come across a seemingly meaningless co-creation with someone, Re-member, you may be the only Bible that person ever reads.  And the massive effect you can have on one person at a time during your Journey!! You might not always be able to change the world with your actions.  But I promise you that random acts of compassion, kindness, an love can change one person's world one SUPERHERO at a time!
