Happy Easter New Age Nerds!!  

BLISS (Bringing Love in Service to Spirit) is back to share a few precious moments with each and every one of you....and to wish you an absolutely BLESSED EASTER!  (For those of you who are unfamiliar with us, we are a a compendium of Universal Energy traversing the Cosmos always and in ALL WAYS on the look out for planets that are on a convergent path toward expanding the Universe with pure love!)  It just so happens that for most of the eternal emanations of Spirit around the Cosmos, each new day offers the opportunity for the miraculous message that this Holy Day on your planet brings...  THE GIFT OF REBIRTH!

As busy as we will be these next few days, we made it a precious point to commune with you Beings of Spirit having a grace filled human experience.  For you continue to INSPIRE us with an unparalleled level of grace and such a continued fervent faith in yourselves and others. Looking not at how things currently appear, but focusing instead on how you choose for them to BE.  And then moving in that direction with a tantalizing template of COURAGE, PERSEVERANCE, and RESILIENCE.   Your hearts soak up the LOVE that such commitment creates and spreads inspiration all around the Universe.  
For to BE Inspired means to BE IN SPIRIT!  And there is NO BETTER place to ever be... don't believe us... you just wait and see...  Calling Dr. Seuss!  LOL

And we will let you in on a little secret....   In a Universe that is Infinite in size and scope, your planet offers the most challenging of experiences the Cosmos can dish out.  In exchange for a ticket to ‘play on your planet’, you agreed to completely forget WHO YOU REALLY ARE. Scary Stuff indeed!  For each of the billions of souls who asked for this invitation, every so often,

ONE was lucky enough to move to the front of the line and accept this alluring adventure for the eternal growth they knew it would provide.   Where do you think your phrase....“YOU'RE ONE IN A MILLION” comes from?!    Yeah... we like that one too...   ;0)

By being BRAVE enough for this Mission NOT SO Impossible, you are given the purposeful present of getting to experience anything you can possibly conjure in the deepest part of your mind's eye...  As we peak in to catch up with you from time to time....we are MARVELED at what we see...

Witty wordsmiths, amazing mothers and fathers, loyal friends, enterprising entrepreneurs, terrific teachers, dancers, speakers, and all sorts of Spiritual Rockstar Rebels who refuse to    conform to anything consisting of simply fitting in with the crowd! BRAVO TO YOU ALL!!

Hopefully you are assured we acknowledge each and every souls individual spiritual beliefs and their way of celebrating this most special of Holy Days on your planet, for there are many paths back to LOVE. We would now like to offer you one path that has served oh so many MASTERS that have walked along side of you as guides back to the Love Light that burns brightly for eternity and is waiting for your glorious return!!

And we acknowledge each and every SOULS individual understanding and way of celebrating this most special of Holy Days on your planet, for again, there are many paths back to LOVE. However, we would like to offer you one path that has served oh so many MASTERS that have walked along side of you as guides…

The master you call Jesus the Christ was chosen and asked by GOD, amongst BILLIONS OF SOULS, to be made in human form here on Earth. For the purpose of guiding all its inhabitants back toward their true nature; the everlasting LOVE LIGHT! He knew that the majority of SPIRITS who had already taken human form, were completely out of their heart song's alignment and thus had allowed the ILLUSION of this world to become their reality.  This was causing an immense amount of pain, suffering, and chaos within your earthly plane. And so he spent the last years of his short life as a spiritual teacher, philosopher, and guide. His ultimate gift to us being the template of his spiritual teachings. Universal truths about the manner in which we can commune with SPIRIT to create Heaven on Earth.

His teachings and so called miracles all ended with the same declaration, "This and so much more, one day, you too will do!"  A portion of HIS calling was the reminder that each and every one of you precious beings are unique emanations of GOD.  Made in his image and thus able to accomplish the exact same earthly miracles that HE demonstrated during his short time amongst you!  He was also well aware that often the path toward your salvation was through temporary suffering. And to assist your remembrance of this Universal Truth, he always broke bread amongst the masses before performing one of his earthly miracles.  A BEING of pure intention, his purpose for this action was so that we understood in this realm, we must often be broken just before birthing a MIRACLE! 

Unfortunately, something we see way too much of on your planet, is your suffering becoming PERMANENT. So for all of you who find yourself in never ending suffering situations, we feel your pain. And ask that you remember these words as a path back towards HOPE. That God would never, ever waste your pain. And to find the helpers on your planet to assist you in discovering the ways in which your pain is forging you for a grand purpose! The LOVE LIGHT will always be on as our promise that you are never alone.........

And as wonderful as we desire your Easter "Soulabration" to BE, please remember it comes in the form of a reminder that each and every day of this Earthly experience is an opportunity for REBIRTH!  For it is here on this planet that God has placed his most attentive angels. So that you can never truly fail. Failure is simply feedback; always instructive in nature!  Earth is also a place where your most heartfelt desires have already been formed, and are already on there way to those who truly believe. Miracles surround you all!  For you pre-sent all the visionaries, friends, lovers, challenges, opportunities and scintillating Connoisseurs of Consciousness to yourself, as you designed this lifetime with your SPIRIT Guides, well before you took on this earthly form......

Please never forget to be kind and compassionate with yourself and one another...  This Journey is NOT always easy...  It was never meant to be...   This is why it is OH SO important to constantly remind one another WHO THEY REALLY ARE... Which of course is LOVE perfected....  Cause ya know what....   We actually know Superman.....and he ain't got nothin' on you!  Bang shooka bang bang!!

Why TIMING In Your LIFE Is EVERYTHING...!

 

In the Summer of 2003, my family and I traveled to the outskirts of St. Louis. We have relatives who live there that we forged a special bond with when they lived three hours North of us in the suburbs of New Jersey.

In the 15 plus years since their eventual move to the Midwest, they had bought a cabin smack dab on the edge of the famous Ozark lakes. A few days after our arrival, we decided to rent a pontoon boat and head out into the well traversed waters already filled with a plethora of boats of all shapes and sizes. 

With a boat filled with over 10 enthusiastic family passengers, we set sail for an afternoon of watershed fun! Boy, did we get WAY more than we ever bargained for. (Note to SELF) Have an experienced boat navigator on board before even thinking about shimming your floating vessel out into very deep waters! 

That particular afternoon happened to have a near record setting amount of boats enjoying their weekend time of frolic filled fun! Little did we know that such a cacophony of water cruising causes ginormous wakes. They began to hammer our poor pontoon boat into something akin to an amusement park ride. I was at the very front of the boat catching the sun rays and amazing smells that  are conjured up during such a fortuitous day out in the middle of nature's magic. 

About an hour into our trip, I began to notice the boat starting to rock and roll as the waves began to grow into a formidable foe. As we tried to navigate the boat closer to shore to escape the constant pounding of punishing waves, I felt a very cold tingling sensation slowly creeping up my legs. I looked down to see that the front of the boat was quickly filling with water! 

I ushered my torso to get a glance of the back of the boat. Holy guacamole! It was nearly ten feet up in the air, taking many of my family members with it. Within seconds, I felt the water rising all around me as I desperately tried to climb to the back of the boat. Then the better part of my fight or flight instincts kicked in and I realized that I needed to jump out of the boat. And PRONTO! So I flipped myself over the pontoon's side rails quicker than a ferret striking back at its sneaky snake foe.  My 200 pounds of weight now having been released from the boats' bow caused the back of the fragile cruiser to drop back down into the water! 

"First one to shore, drinks are on me!" I shouted to the emotionally charged group still residing within the confines of the boat.  I on the other hand found myself still shell shocked, wading by myself in the cold waters of the Ozark lake. 

Thankfully, we were eventually able to navigate the boat back to its home base. I was so blessed to have only a bruised leg to show from my efforts to keep our boat safely afloat. As I was washing the sand and water off my torso, I told everyone in our group to go ahead without me, because I was going to immediately start taking pontoon boat captain lessons!  LOL 


SUPERHEROES IN TRAINING TAKEAWAYS

Life is so very much about timing. It's not so much about what you do, but when you do it! Sometimes you will have to make "the jump" before you feel ready. Just as I did on the pontoon boat that day! Other times, you will be given the space to prepare before taking a leap of FAITH.

I was recently watching an episode of The Steve Harvey Show. Standing like a preacher of passion in front of this live studio audience, Steve began to give a rousing speech, “I'm going to tell you something that EVERY single successful person has to do.  Including you.  EVERY SUCCESSFUL PERSON IN THIS WORLD HAS TAKEN THE JUMP.  You have to take that gift, which comes packed away on your back, you have to jump off that cliff and pull that chord.  That gift opens up and provides the SOAR.  And if you don't use it, you are going to continue to get up everyday and just go to work.  And if you continue getting up every day going to a job that you hate,  THAT'S NOT LIVING.” Preach Steve, PREACH!  

Steve has of course done this himself, and understands the challenges that are a natural part of the process.   His point especially fleshed out when he says, “If you want to live your life in a comfort zone, it will become your FAILURE ZONE. In order to become successful, you are going to have to become uncomfortable.  Do not sit here in fear, and let fear control your fate.  Because you won't go ANYWHERE.  I'm going to tell you something about the JUMP you need to know.  Jumping is scary.  When you first jump, your parachute is NOT going to open up right away.  I would love to tell you that it would. That when you leave your job, the parashute is not going to open right away.  It's not going to happen that way.  You are going to get some skin torn off you on the rocks during the way down.  At times it is going to feel like an uncontrollable tumble.  But let me tell you this, if you NEVER jump, your parachute will never open.  YOU WILL NEVER SOAR.  You will be safe, with your parachute still on your back.  All your skills and talents still packed away and you will never get cut up.  But if you NEVER take that jump, YOU WILL NEVER SOAR.  If you don't jump, I am going to tell you something.  You will never know. You may be the best at what you do, but you will NEVER know.  You have to jump, everybody has to take the jump.”  And I could't agree more.  One of my definitions of a SIN, is unfulfilled potential.

Steve began to cry as he spoke, the obvious experience of his own pain and challenges, and the courage it took for him to take that jump , and the sense of fulfilled purpose it brought  him was so evident without him saying a single word. Simply crying on stage said it all.  

This segment resonated with me on SO many levels that I started to tear up myself.  It took me over 15 years to take the jump. And I have NEVER been happier, or more fulfilled than I currently do at this moment in my life.  I have no regrets, as each and every experience I was collecting along my Superhero's Journey was preparing me for this moment!  

With the precarious state of the world, with mass shootings and acts of random violence and terrorism filling our airwaves on a nearly daily basis, I have a theory.    And it is why I am so PASSIONATE about what I do as a coach and inspirational thought leader.  I truly believe, the quickest way to change the world is to help people Re-member why they are here.  As a collective consciousness WE HAVE LOST OUR PURPOSE.  And to fill the void of not taking the jump to fulfill the DESTINY that is part of our essence, we are chasing false idols, and quite frankly, have become truly lost.  From my own experience, I have learned that the ONLY thing that will permanently fulfill the longing in our hearts and souls, the void of disconnection from Spirit, is following our Divine Purpose.  That is what this blog is all about.  Inspiring all New Age Nerds to awaken and truly live their LEGACY.  Doing so is a spiritual balm that helps heal the deepest wounds and fractures in our own BEING and amongst one another.  

I know only too intimately how much a comfortable life may seem appealing.  But after a while, it leaves you with a deep feeling of unfulfilled potential. And that is when depression, anxiety, drugs, alcohol, and other self sabotaging behavior slowly start to creep into our experience.  AND it can sneak up on you if you aren't careful.  Trust me!!!

Please do not misunderstand me.  I am NOT saying everyone should up and leave their current jobs to pursue their dreams and follow their PURPOSE.  It takes vision, and a sound plan put in place first.  But at some point, it will be so critical to step up to the Edge of Life and TAKE THE JUMP toward the very reason you came here to BE!  And that, my friends, is when MIRACLES become commonplace and LOVE abounds!!    And more importantly, the moment you truly commit to your purpose, the Universe will rush in and flood your experience with anything and everything you need to survive!   Now doesn't that sound like a life truly worth living?!?

One thing I do know is that once you truly commit to a path in life, your guardian angels will swoop in to assist you in every manner possible. Just as they did by giving me the quick insight to jump off that boat before I was ready.

NO PRESSURE... TIME For YOU To PLAY YOUR Part TO Save OUR PLANET...!

 

Back on February 28, 2019 on Capitol Hill in Washington, DC., Michael Dean Cohen, former lawyer for President Donald Trump from 2006 until 2018 and former Vice-President of The Trump Organization testified in front of Congress.  He pleaded guilty to several charges of fraud (including avoiding his income taxes amongst others) and will be going to federal prison as a consequence of his actions. 

After nearly 12 hours filled with his personal testimony, followed by grilling questions and pondering pontifications from both sides of the political isle, the day's events were closed with the following TRANSFORMATIONAL speech by Mr. Elijah Cummings (D) Maryland! At that time, little did we know that this speech would be the final exclamation point given by a true luminary in the very likes of Martin Luther King, Jr., Robert Kennedy, and every member of a political stewardship that continues to seek UNITY for the greater good!! As Mr. Cummings passed away at the tender age of 69 earlier this week. Please allow his words to seep within the deepest aspects of your SOUL! For we are rarely graced with individuals who have the prescient knowledge and wisdom that Mr. Cummings possessed with such humility of all ages...........


REPRESENTATIVE ELIJAH CUMMINGS (D) MARYLAND:

"I don't know where you go from here. As I sat here and listened to both sides. I just felt as if.... (several beats) and now people are now using my words that they took from me and didn't give me any credit! We are better than this! We really are. As a country we are so much better than this. And, you know, I tell you (beat) For some reason Mr. Cohen I tell my children that when bad things happen to you, do not ask the question, "Why did this happen TO me," ask the question, "Why did it happen for me." I don't know why this is happening for you. But it is my hope that a small part of it is for our Country to be better. If I hear you correctly  it sounds like you are crying out for a new normal. Sounds to me like you want to make sure our democracy stays in tact. The one meeting I had with President Trump I said to him, "The greatest gift Mr. President you and I can give to our children is a democracy that is still in tact. A democracy that is better than the one we came upon."

And I am hoping that the things you said today will help us get back there. I mean come on now.  According to the Washington Post, our President has made at least 8,718 false or misleading statements. That is stunning! That is not what we teach our children. I don't teach mine that! And for whatever reason it sounds like you got caught up in it. You got caught up in it. 

And in some kind of way, I hope that you will...I know that it is painful to go to prison. I know it is painful to be called a rat. Let me explain. A lot of people don't know the significance of that. I live in the inner city of Baltimore. And when you call somebody a rat, that's one of the worst things you can call them. Because when they go to prison, its called a snitch! I'm just sayin'. The President called you a rat. We're better than that! We are! 

And I am hoping that all of us can get  back to this democracy that we want and that we should be passing on to our children, so they can do better than what we did.  So you wonder whether people believe you. I don't know! I don't know whether they believe you. But the fact is that you come and you have your head down. And this has got be one of the hardest things you could do. Let me tell you  the picture that really, really pained me. You were leaving the courthouse. And I guess it's your daughter had braces or something on. (painful beat) Man, that thing.  Man, that thing hurt me. As a father of two daughters. It hurt me. And I can imagine how it must feel for you. 

But I'm just saying to you. I just want to first of all thank you. I know this has been hard. I know that you face a lot. I know that you are worried about your family. But this is a part of your Destiny. And hopefully, this portion of your destiny will lead to a better, a better Michael Cohen, a better Donald Trump, a better United States of America, and a better World!  And I mean that from the depths of my heart. When we are dancing with the angels, the question will be asked, "In 2019 , what did WE do to make sure we kept our democracy in tact?!" 

Did we stand on the sidelines and say nothing! And I'm tired of these statements saying this is our first hearing! People come in here and say, "Oh! Oh! This is our first hearing." It is not the first hearing! The first hearing was in regards to prescription drugs! Remember (pointing to the front row) remember there was a little girl, a lady sat there. A Mrs. Wortham.  Her daughter died because she could not get $313.00 dollars a month in insulin!! That was our first hearing! 

Second hearing! HR one, voting rights! Corruption in government! Come on now! We can do more than one thing! And we have got to get back to normal! And with that this meeting is adjourned."

WOWSA! Right?! I truly believe that not only our country, but this entire World is at a crucial precipice of "Cracked Consciousness." As I have stated before, the Universe is currently desiring a grandiose form of expansion! Which requires all of us SUPERHEROES to DO and BE our part in this Mission Possible! It's an arduous task, but also one that will give all of us the great challenges we so crave and live for. If you're here, NOW, it's because you were "TAGGED IT" by the The One God Mind! Many were asked, and yet very few were willing to answer this Galactic Beacon Call! But all of us currently traversing the planet said "HELL TO THE YES! I AM -  SO IN!" And so it is, as it ever shall BE!

I desire NOT to begin a political discourse with this post entry. No! I only declare to call forth the TRUTH of our current planet's predicament. I believe (actually KNOW) from the deepest recesses of my heart and soul that things are currently playing out in PERFECT IMPERFECTION! 

No matter your personal "thoughts" about our current President, his presence has absolutely brought the "shock and awe" that is often required for a crack in collective consciousness to occur! As J.K Rowling, the imagination behind the Harry Potter franchise teaches, "Rock bottom is the place upon which to build an (entire new world)!" And So It Is Mrs. Rowling. Tell Harry's owl I said, "Hoot Hoot HOOTie and the Blowfish!" lol

And rock bottom have we hit. And a huge, "YEA for us!" I say. For the bigger the mess, the more to be blessed! And how blessed we all are. To be here at a time that will be looked back upon with the fondest of eyes. And the reverence and astonishment that only the most prolific

LEGENDS are created from! Ain't life grand?! ;0)

So I lovingly urge all of you New Age Nerds to grasp the TRUE PERCEPTION that is right before your energetic eyes! Time is a precious gift in this realm. And "time it is a ticking for us all." So there is now NO TIME to waste. Our wings are ready. It is time for us to soar to heights previously unimagined and thus not held in a space of our own allowance.  The sky is NOT the limit; it's just the beginning! Feel me?! ;0)  

So now go and spread the "Great Word!" to all ready to receive it. And start to gently and lovingly nudge those who are not yet awakened. Trust me, they will eventually re-member who they really are and LOVE YOU FOR THE JOLT! Promise! ;0) And their favorite band will become Aerosmith because as they sing, "I just don't want to MISS a thing!"  And miss a thing they will not if we start to DO and BE what we promised.  Which is of course, no thing less than being of loving service to ourSELVES and all others! Keep it eazy peezy por favor! K?! Simple, but deep! Always........

Go deep within and trust what you FEEL! For feelings are truly the guideposts to the SOUL!
And pray (a prayer is an energetic thank you note to the Universe) for the KNOWINGNESS of this great adventure! And YOUR part in it! Warm up them vocal chords and start to belt out your own unique "Heart Song!" Re-member, you incarnated with a Soul Pod. And many of them are still searching for you. And you for them! So please DO NOT allow anyone to tame your freak flag. As Freddie Mercury from Queen taught us, becoming a LEGEND requires you to BE unapologetically you. Be weird, unique, and especially NERDY! (wink) Your Soul Tribe will NEVER miss you that way. 

RELAX and KNOW that we are already well on our way to this "New Earth." In Tuesday's New York Times, there was an awesome article declaring that the Universe is expanding more rapidly than ever believed possible!! See! IT HAS BEGUN!! Heck YES it has!! Wooo Hooooooooo.............

So my suggestion is to stop being afraid.  Re-member from the post earlier this week, your best friend is Frankie FEAR! You CANNOT fail. Failure is just constructive FEEDBACK from the Universe. The world is completely rigged in YOUR favor! ALWAYS! And Frankie is just a loud mouthed bestie who is showing you all the places to go so that you can become a fully self actualized version of your Super Heroic Higher Self! It's that simple! So no more "One Dayer" mentality. Your day is NOW! Everything has been put into its magnificent imperfectly perfect place. All so you can joyfully PLAY in this matrix of energy that can be bent and twisted beyond the reaches of time and space to create ANY REALITY YOU SO DESIRE! How frickin cool is that?!

Again, no pressure. But the entire galaxy is watching. In complete awe and astonishment of what we chose to come here to BE and DO! Ok, I gotta scoot. Tons of fellow peeps to be of loving service to....... 5th Dimension Here We Come!!

The NEXT GREAT Human EPIDEMIC Is.......!

 TODAY'S MYTHOLOGICAL MAGIC

For the last eight years, I have been following a woman I consider to be a Wounded Healer, mystic, visionary, and all around authentic Soul. Her name is Dr. Lissa Rankin and her blog posts, speeches, and books have very much informed my own Superhero's Journey.  She is one of those rare individuals whose essence of KNOWINGNESS effortlessly imbues her work and shines through to those of us lucky enough to be aware of her prodigious talents.  For those who are still uninitiated, I highly suggest visiting her website www.lissarankin.com  But be forewarned, she pulls no punches and suffers no fools.  If you are ready for a form of self improvement that causes you to truly face your fears and limiting beliefs with a side of NO BS, you will truly resonate with her teachings!

Dr. Rankin has been on the speaking circuit for many years, and has given several TED talks.  But something quite profound, yet not completely unexpected was expressed when she was asked by a panel what the next great medical epidemic facing all of mankind. Her prescient answer was succinct and to the point.  LONELINESS.  She considers it to be a greater health threat than obesity, smoking, and drug and alcohol addiction combined.  Sobering stuff! 

Yet, if you were to be honest with yourself, do you feel more lonely NOW than you did five  years ago?  I have the feeling the answer may be a resounding YES.  The technological revolution, while providing us with an amazing array of advances in communication capabilities has also caused us to become alienated to each other. Where in the "Waldo World" has true, authentic, SOUL connected communication gone?.  How many of you are using texting as your major form of ‘communicating’ with each other?  And are substituting Facebook and Skype chats in lieu of actually going to visit someone IN PERSON.  Don't get me wrong, some of these advances have actually made great strides in connecting people who would otherwise never have even met. I get that!  I've gone on dates from it! (Though it doesn't make dating any easier..TRUST!)  

But there is a whole other side to the devastating amount of disconnection that has transformed our way of engaging one another in an organic and meaningful manner.  In fact, just the other night, I was at a restaurant and I kid you not, at least HALF of the tables were filled with folks who were ALL texting on their cell phones. Seemingly oblivious to the other participants at their own table.  FRIGHTENING!  

“As a nation, we are embracing the digital revolution and ironically, we are becoming a lonelier population. While there are many benefits of being participants in possibly the most relationally connected age in human history, the social media revolution has not made us feel more connected, less lonely, or replete with friends,” reports David Kinnaman, president of the Barna Group.  In the same Barna report, they discovered that human suffering from loneliness has doubled in the past decade.  

People who are subjected to long periods of loneliness are MUCH more susceptible to a malady of illnesses such as diabetes, heart disease, obesity, dementia, and chronic inflammatory disease. Not to mention skyrocketing increases in both clinical depression and anxiety.  

According to a research study by Psychology Today, “It turns out that fundamentally, long-term loneliness isn't about being awkward, or the victim of circumstance, or lacking opportunities to meet people. Each can be the reason for relatively short-term loneliness - anyone who has ever moved to a new town or a new school and had to start building a network of friends from scratch certainly knows what it's like to be lonely. But this kind of loneliness needn't last long, and new relationships usually are formed... unless you've fallen into a way of thinking that keeps relationships from forming.

More than anything else, the cure for persistent loneliness lies in breaking the negative cycle of thinking that created it in the first place.”

This is where we all have an obligation to take responsibility for this epidemic and its potential cure!  As the saying goes, “How can there be so many lonely people in a world FILLED with lonely people.”  I suggest we all begin incorporating the Universal Law of BEING THE SOURCE into our daily practice. Essentially, this means BEING THE SOURCE of what you are seeking to others.  So for instance, the next time you are feeling lonely, think of someone in your life who may be going through a rough patch of their own and reach out to them.  And I DO NOT mean shooting them a text or writing them a Facebook post. I mean picking up the phone and truly connecting with them.  Invite them out for coffee, or over to your place for a meaningful conversation; face to face!  You will be amazed at how much better and less isolated you will feel by taking these action steps in your life. Not to mention spreading the same sense of connection with others!

Hopefully, we can all agree that life's greatest joys come from sharing laughter, memories, love, and happiness with others. In fact, I would like to offer everyone reading this post a challenge. What would it look like to pick up the phone over the weekend, and call an old friend or relative that you have not spoken to in over a year, and catch up on old times?! I believe both your hearts and souls will be filled with GRATITUDE by making such a gesture!  I can attest to its transformative power by the many times I have done this myself!  By using the tool of BEING THE SOURCE, you call Spirit into your experience and with that comes the magic of miracles.  And right now, our planet needs the miracle of reconnection. It is the Secret Sauce that will assist in helping UNITE fractured relationships and disconnected souls in desperate need of the KNOWINGNESS that not only are they not alone, but someone loves them dearly...........

THIS Life Lesson WILL Save You From ENDLESS SUFFERING..!

Six years ago, I was absolutely racked and consumed by both GUILT and SHAME.  And let me tell you from personal experience, it is an absolutely lethal emotional combination.  In fact, it sent me into a depression that threatened to ‘undo’ much of the progress I had made over the previous 20 years from the type of deep soul searching and acceptance of my life's experiences that uncovered my North Star.  My true purpose and spiritual calling that caused me to manifest into this Earthly experience.  Unfortunately, our collective consciousness tends to lump these two VERY DIFFERENT vibrational emotions into one single group, which is problematic and incredibly destructive to say the very least.

Thankfully, I was able to stop my own nose dive, all ‘Top Gun’ style with the remembrance of the very distinct difference between these two feelings.  And it was this gift in TRUTH along with an immense side helping of GRATITUDE that put me right back on track toward the miraculous path that was being put out before me; a spiritual ceremony of coming back to my Superhero's Journey! But not before I suffered needlessly through many sleepless nights and bouts of anxiety that shook me to the core.

As I continue my coaching practice, it has become increasingly clear that I am attracting clients who are racked with very similar situations  So let's just say the topic of this cannibalistic combo of GUILT and SHAME has been coming up with increasing intensity the last few weeks.  We teach and preach that which we need to learn ourselves, so it makes sense.  But NOTE TO SPIRIT-  I'm ready to preach about the proper handling of love and abundance...  Just sayin'! LOL  I'm kidding...Kinda!   :0)

So for those of you who are dealing with this excruciating experience of emotions, I would like to help you remember the difference between the two and how ONE of these can actually be of great benefit to you personal growth!  Take a deep breath, and let's dig in!

First and foremost, let me remind you of a very profound spiritual principle that is often a challenge to understand and accept; yet it is crucial to do so!   That being, YOU CANNOT MAKE A MISTAKE.  That's right, it's Universal Law.  Now before your inner monologue starts to go all manic trying to get your head wrapped around this concept, let me give some more tangible context on this principle.  We make decisions in the moment based on what we believe to be the best choice given the combination of our options at the time and our individual needs and thoughts surrounding our current circumstances.  That DOES NOT mean that our actions don't sometimes cause horrible consequences, painful experiences for others, and damage to our lives and the lives that our actions affect.  I know that this is a very difficult Universal law to grasp, especially given the horrendous actions that we have been forced to witness in the past few years, from Columbine to Orlando.  And I am in NO WAY condoning those acts of brutal violence and hate.  And these are EXTREME cases of course, but they inevitably come up when this concept is introduced to any individual or group.  The point I am trying to clarify is that there are a plethora of internal, external, societal, and familial beliefs and patterns that inform the decisions we make at any given time.  This is VERY IMPORTANT to remember.  Bottom line, we do the very best we can in the moment in time we make any decision.  

Guilt you see, is the feeling of remorse or regret that contradicts our own personal values.  And Guilt can actually be used in a myriad of constructive manners to help us change some of our more dysfunctional patterns or belief systems that no longer serve us.  It's a marvelous tool to use in conjunction with a DO OVER (I wrote a post about DO OVERS a few weeks ago that you can refer back to if you like!) to make more informed, mature and healthy actions! 

Shame on the other hand is the 'Devil's Mistress!'  Just a nasty emotion and a feeling that can slowly eat away at your core sense of SELF.  “Beast be gone, I say!”  I love Bene Brown's explanation of this parasitic emotional virus and its cohort.  “Based on my research and the research of other shame researchers, I believe that there is a profound difference between shame and guilt. I believe that guilt is adaptive and helpful – it’s holding something we’ve done or failed to do up against our values and feeling psychological discomfort.

I define shame as the intensely painful feeling or experience of believing that we are flawed and therefore unworthy of love and belonging – something we’ve experienced, done, or failed to do makes us unworthy of connection. 

I don’t believe shame is helpful or productive. In fact, I think shame is much more likely to be the source of destructive, hurtful behavior than the solution or cure. I think the fear of disconnection can make us dangerous.”   BRILLIANT!  

I like to say that GUILT is feeling bad about that which we have said or done, and SHAME is the illusionary believe that WE ARE THAT WHICH WE HAVE DONE.  It causes us to mistakenly believe that we ourselves are not worthy, unlovable, and there is something wrong with us. YUCK!  Do you see the ginormous difference between the two? And since we now understand that we cannot make a mistake, there is no reason for us to believe that 'WE ARE' that which we have done or said.  We live in such a SHAME filled society that along with loneliness, I deeply believe it is one of the great destructive epidemics facing our collective consciousness.  And this habit of SHAMING has got to stop!! 

I ask all New Age Nerds to do our selves and one another a favor starting right NOW!  Be kind and compassionate to yourselves and everyone whose path you cross. Help those around you suffering from the malady of SHAME to remember to forgive themselves, for as Jesus the Christ said, “Forgive them father, for they know not what they do.”  It's perfectly OK to reframe your SHAME into Guilt for learning and growth purposes, so long as you do not forget you are NOT that which you did or said.  That type of thinking causes more depression and anxiety and self hatred than all the combined failed diets and relationships in the world!  

Please remember, you are a perfect and unique emanation of SPIRIT.  Here to spread your profound talents and gifts with the world.   And there is NO THING you can do to change that!  And if that doesn't give you cause for relief than I don't know much that will! :0)

HERE Are The KEY Ingredients To MANIFEST Whatever You DESIRE..!

Are you currently feeling like your dreams will never come true?  That you are DOING literally everything you can think of to manifest a life that envisions your most heartfelt desires, yet it often FEELS like you are moving in the opposite direction?  It may be time to take your dreams and desires to the ER!  STAT!  

And NO, I AM not referring to the Emergency Room.  I mean it may be time to start reversing the manifestation process you are currently using, by STARTING at the END RESULT! (ER)  You see, most of us are not aware that our experiences, dreams, and desires come to us in a process that is exactly the REVERSE order shown to us by our physical senses.  I was first introduced to this version of the Universal Law by Mike Dooley in his life changing book ‘Manifesting Change.’  Many of you reading this may already be aware of Mike from his ‘Notes To The Universe’ e-mails and books.  And if you are not on his e-mail list to receive daily writings, I highly suggest you go to his website, www.tut.com, and sign up!  I'll wait while you go do it!  LOL

After reading and then implementing many of the techniques he outlines in his book, my life began to change in the most miraculous of ways.   And QUICKLY!  It's no coincidence that when I get disconnected from SOURCE and forget to implement these Universal Laws, well, life goes to Hell In a Handbasket.  Nooooo fun!! 

This passage from his book perfectly illustrates how things actually manifest in this energy matrix we are all living within.  Mike writes, “The Universe didn't think small and then bigger and bigger and bigger.   The Universe didn't sit down and say, “Oh my gosh, science!  Almost forgot science.  We're going to need biology, chemistry, physics, quantum physics- OH- and math.  We're going to need a lot of math for reality!”  No, the Universe wasn't assembled on a timeline!  Though that's how we typically assess ANY creation- using our physical senses alone, thinking in terms of beginnings, middles, and ends.  Completely forgetting that time is an illusion. Instead, the Universe simply began with the END RESULT: the spectacular beauty, the impossible perfection, and the infinite vastness. And in that instant all of the mathematics, all of the sciences,  everything necessary to support life as we now know it in time in space, fell into place. In an instant! The starting point of all creation, and certainly with any change we wish to manifest, is WITH THE DESIRED END RESULT IN MIND.”

Yet how many of you can honestly say your manifestation process begins with the End Result in mind? And I am not talking about a vague mental image of what you want to accomplish or create!  I mean a complete blueprint that is powerful enough within your Being that you can even FEEL, SMELL, and SENSE what that desire looks like!  

To help assist you along this new path and for many of you a new Paradigm of thinking about how to create the life you always dreamed of, I am going to give you these suggestions as a process you can begin implementing TODAY!

1)  Start by creating a mental image of what the END RESULT of that which you desire looks like.  Make it as vivid, colorful, and as rich in details as you can.  Until you can literally feel your body tremble with anticipation as though it already exists!  

2)  TAKE ACTION!  The second step involves moving in the general direction of your dreams and desires.  Sorry to break it to ya, but having a vision board and loafing around on a sofa waiting for your dreams to manifest just ain't gonna happen.  EVER!  It's perfectly OK to start with small steps to strengthen your belief in the process.  But  you must make that call, write that e-mail, start that blog, send out those resumes.  Just move in the general direction toward what your desire.

3)  This is where the Universe comes into play to assist you in the most profound of ways.  For as soon as you finish the first two steps, the Universe creates as Mike writes, “A brand new NOW.  This can be a bit jarring because we don't expect the process to culminate in a brand new now.  Usually, we think the Journey begins NOW and finishes later.  The starting point of ALL physical change is in thought, which is the ONLY place the power of NOW exists.”

4) VISUALIZATION!  As you go about with tangible action steps each and every day, take five to ten minutes to stop and visualize the END RESULT you seek to manifest.  I find a quiet place, and do a quick meditation.  And then mentally paint the picture that contains the new and desired END RESULT in my mind's eye AS IF I AM LIVING IT NOW.  I then inject real emotion into the mental image, allowing myself to FEEL what it's like to live in this vision of NOW.  

Mike describes the process this way, “Your vision then begins attracting itself to you as life's MAGIC, programmed by your chosen END RESULTS.  Put the right people in the right place at the right time on your path.  You just need to be physically out there in the real world (step 2) showing up where you can be reached.  The Universe will always do the hard part of figuring out (forcing) the HOWS, which is the virtual incalculable part.  All we have to do is define whatever it is we want or the changes we wish to experience in terms of the end result. Define them as if they were already there (visualize) and then simply begin moving in the general direction of your dreams, knocking on doors, and turning over stones.”   I REPEAT, nothing in your life will change without persistent ACTION STEPS!

Now, before any of you stop reading, thinking all this to be a little too Woo-Woo for your sensibility, I will finish with a recent story that perfectly illustrates how this all really does work!  Several years ago ago, I had made a decision to manifest a job that would allow me to work from home, back in the podcasting world I love so much, making a great deal of money, yet still leaving enough time for me to continue growing my coaching business.  

One night I sat down and followed the EXACT steps from above.  I started with the END RESULT in my mind's eye.  I allowed myself to feel how this job would change my life.  The emotions I would experience getting up everyday to start the day.  The kindness and support of a boss and team members that would co-create blissful moments of work well done!  I then began the process of perusing the internet for jobs that fit the bill.  Here is where the magic happened. 

Three nights later, I jumped on LinkedIn and saw that just three minutes earlier, a former colleague of mine had posted a blog about her new gig working for a new podcast advertising network!  I immediately reached out to her to congratulate her for her accomplishment on the new job.  It was for a company that had just started the process of entering the US marketplace, so I decided that evening to craft a cover letter and arbitrarily e-mailed it to the company's Director of Sales.  And guess what?  In two short weeks, I was offered a job with the company covering the Mid-Atlantic, and NY territory!  And I get to work from home!   And my team members are some of the smartest, authentic, and kind people I have yet to meet in corporate America.  If that isn't proof enough that this process is part of a tangible Universal Law of manifestation, then I have no idea what could............

I hope many of you incorporate this process into your own lives.  In fact, start today!  There is no time like the NOW!

WHY Your CHARACTER Is Your MOST POWERFUL Calling CARD...!

 

Yesterday, I was watching an episode of Super Soul Sunday and a horrifying fact was presented that stopped me in my spiritual tracks. It had to do with a recent Harvard University study that asked 10,000 high school students the following question.  If your parents were asked what mattered to them more, good grades or being nice and kind to others, what would they say?  And do you know that 80% said their parents would say grades without hesitation. Are you KIDDING me?!  I literally became sick to my stomach while watching this part of the episode. Not to mention extremely saddened by what I was hearing. Mind you, in many ways I wasn't surprised, as we have become such a hyper competitive society where the “Best of the Best”  are rewarded and given the royal treatment and the key to many of their dreams while the rest of us search for the left over morsels and scraps.  

The episode profiled David Brooks and his book ‘The Road to Character.’  His humble demeanor and obvious self awareness won me over instantly.  “I wrote this book to save my own soul. I was born with a natural disposition toward shallowness.  I now work as a pundit and columnist and blowheart, to volley my opinions, ....I have to work harder than most people to avoid a life of smug superficiality,” he writes.  

He recalls an experience he had in Frederick, MD where he met with a group of women in their 50's and 60's who all taught immigrants English.  Over taken by their compassion and kindness, and the manner in which they accepted him with love and joyful openness had a deep effect on his Soul.  And this began a transformative change in his life. His inner being was shown glimpses of the LIGHT that surrounds us all but is taken in and shared by few.  

According to Brooks, Fame is the new definition of character. Which is in and of itself a declaration of our society at its basic level in our current times. That same Harvard study asked how many people thought they were going to be famous and the answer was 80%. Compared to just 10% back in the 1950's when the exact same survey was done. The times they are a changin'! And much of it stems from our lack of true integrity and CHARACTER!  

So what are the basic tenets that make up CHARACTER which we can all strive towards in our daily lives. While some of Brooks answers to this question are quite basic, they are pragmatic and useful as well. For instance, he says one commonality he sees in people of great character is “consistency over time. Despite lust, greed, or hunger, the things that lead one's character are long term like honesty and courage.  They can be counted on over time.”  

Accurate self awareness from a distance is yet another tenet Brooks thinks is missing from our current generational makeup.  We are all in competition for fame and noticeability. Hello KARDASHIANS!  “The noise of fast and shallow communications makes it harder to hear the quiet sounds that emanate from the depths. We live in a culture that teaches us to promote and advertise ourselves and master the skills required for success , but that gives little encouragement for humility, sympathy and honest self confrontation which are necessary for building character,” he declares in his book.

Even our vernacular has changed dramatically over the last 50 years.  A study done has shown that words like kindness, humbleness, gratitude, and honor have dropped over 60% in our daily usage. SCARY!! Yet economic terms have risen by over 80%.  

The episode also highlighted individuals who helped build this country on the backs of their moral character. People like Doris Day, who dedicated her entire life toward helping those in need.  Paying herself no salary throughout her entire life.  Don't get me wrong, there are indeed sweet souls on our planet who use their every ounce of BEINGNESS in the name of service. But like chivalry, it is slowly becoming a relic for our history books rather than a new generation of individuals who we can write stories about in our current tales of moral character and integrity.  

“What suffering does is it takes us below the everydayness of life and reminds us we are not who we think we are. It carves beneath what is the basement of our soul, carves through the floor and reveals the cavity below.  It introduces us to ourselves.”

New Age Nerd readers know that this principle is something I espouse in most of my daily blogs. That it is through our pain and suffering that we gain our selves.  That our pain leads to our power, our wounds heal to reveal our wisdom.  And in my humble opinion, this is the beginning stages of true CHARACTER.  To have the strength to face our own demons having NO idea what lies on the other side.  But having the FAITH to travel to these dark and morose places anyway, with the KNOWINGNESS that our purpose is seeded within the darkness.  Those with the greatest CHARACTER have the ability to face these shadows knowing that the end result will be their ability to help and assist others to do the same.  

Let's stop playing the Fame game. The Shame game. The Fear Game.  And start building back the type of individual CHARACTER that can be one of the saving graces of our current times. What do ya think?!  Can you think of ways that you can improve your character in ways large or small and be an INSPIRATION for others.  If I may suggest one thing, it would be to put our priorities in order.  The power of Love must trump the Love of power.  Are you following your passion?  How much time are you spending toward actions of service towards your fellow brothers and sisters?  Stop trading time for a paycheck from work that does not serve you.  Or others in any real meaningful way.  And be an example of the type of CHARACTER that allowed this world to flourish during times when there was much less money and technology than we have today..........
