A FABLE???......................

In the Summer of 1997, in a small hometown hospital just outside of Richmond, Virginia, on a hot and steamy day, two strangers met for the very first time.  But their shared experience left a lasting tale of love and friendship, kindness and compassion that is still told by the faculty till this very day.  Some believe it is just an old folk tale, told to keep the patients from becoming bored during their long arduous stay's.  But like most Tall Tales, it is up to YOU to see the TRUTH in the story being told.  

You see, their bond became the stuff of LEGENDARY Magic!  And who doesn't want a little more magic in their lives...............................

This slightly run down building that housed the very sick and feeble stood a mere 6 stories tall.  But what it lacked in its external accoutrements, it more than made up for by it's incredibly compassionate and dedicated staff of doctors, nurses, and administrative team.  They truly worked as though they were all ONE!  The doctors treated the nurses with dignity and a deep appreciation.  And the nurses reciprocated that care with a delicate and proactive demeanor, seemingly knowing what their team of doctors required of them even before they asked.  Some say the building itself was built upon an Indian burial ground from the Civil War, and the SPIRITS of these loving and peaceful souls filled the hospital with their energy of peace and tranquility.  As well as the respect and knowingness that ALL LIFE IS PRECIOUS!  And it is said that this energy is what attracted the very staff that traveled from near and very far to work at such an inauspicious medical facility seemingly in the middle of nowhere.

The 4th floor of the hospital kept the sickest of the building's patients.  And it also happened that the very favorite patient housed within its hallowed halls resided in ROOM 404.  He was also the longest ‘resident’ having been in the hospital's care for over two years.  His name was Reginald Armstrong.  But he preferred to be called plain ole' Reggie!

Reggie was a former soldier in the Korean War and had no family left to speak of.  He was 87 years young and his heart was slowly failing him.  Yet every morning, he greeted his care team of doctor's and nurses with a corny joke.  His favorite being “How many doctors does it take to change a lightbulb?  It depends on if the lightbulb has health insurance!”  

Needless to say, Reggie was looked after like a King of his Kingdom.  His one request upon entering the facility 26 months earlier was a bed next to a big window.  And without hesitation, his wish was immediately granted.  

Reggie was never much of a TV watcher;  no, he tended to spend much of his time looking out that window.  Allowing the warm sun to pierce his still glistening skin with its rapturing touch and the breeze to help wipe away the sweat from the day's sweltering Virginia summer heat.  

One afternoon, a nurse knocked tersely at his door and made a proclamation.  “Reggie,” she said, “I 'd like to introduce you to your new roommate,  Gary Harrison.”  Now this caught Reggie completely off guard as he had only one previous roommate during his two year stay and wasn't quite sure what to make of his new ‘situation.’  But ever the proper gentleman, Reggie extended a warm “Welcome Gary, I don't care what the nurses told me about you, I think you are one helluva good looking man!”  This gesture instantly broke any tension in the room as Gary, Reggie , and the nursing staff all laughed in unison!

Gary was placed in the open bed at the opposite end of the room from Reggie.  And the next few days and nights the two exchanged stories, common losses and disappointments, and even a few regrets they both had kept hidden deep within their hearts for decades.  The two became instant best friends and grateful for the shared companionship that can often make the difference between misery and Magic in the predicament they both shared.  

Reggie was soon to learn that Gary suffered from a traumatic back injury and was unable to sit up in bed.  The doctors ordered him to lay in a flat position for several weeks, not even allowing pillows to lift up his upper back and head.  This was akin to a life sentence for a man of Gary's ilk, who had spent his life as a true adventurer.  Much of his free time had been spent in the wide open spaces of the outdoors, amongst the backdrop of what he always deemed 'Heaven on Earth'.   His desires consisted not of material possessions, but of connection with something much greater than his own Spirit.   Running, biking, fishing,  kayaking....his Spiritual Mantra to his friends and family was that he found his peace in the 'ING of life!!    So to be stuck in a neutral position for weeks on end was absolutely,  pure unadulterated HELL!   

A few days after his arrival, Gary asked Reggie for a huge request.  “Reggie”, he asked “would you do me a big favor.  Could you share with me your daily visions from the window beside your bed?”  “I am so connected with nature.  It's always fed my soul and nurtured my mind.  And without it, I'm slowly losing hope.”

Reggie looked over toward Gary and gently said, “When I was in the military, my best friend saved my life by taking a bullet that was meant for me.  He died instantly, in my arms  and I have been asking God ever since that day for me to have the opportunity to give even the slightest piece of his love and sacrifice back to someone else."  As tears started pouring from Reggie's eyes, he shook his head and promised to share the miracles of life ever expanding outside the window with his new friend from that day forward.

Never one to break a promise, Reggie spent the majority of the following weeks sharing with Gary the visions from outside that majestic window.  He told him of the small lake in the distance, and the variance of birds who would flock to its outer edges to clean their feathers and cool down from the summer heat.  Reggie never spared even the smallest of details, such as when the wild fish below the water's surface would sprinkle the water from their well worn tails, causing a small ripple that slowly softened as it approached the lake's outer edge.  

He even shared with Gary the day a couple holding hands, and obviously deeply in love, strolled down the path to the side of the hospital.  And excitedly shared with him when this handsome fellow reached into his pocket, pulled out a ring, bent down on one knee, and proposed to the rapturous woman by his side!  Reggie was a natural born storyteller whose God given talents became the healing balm for his comrade in consciousness.   

Gary always smiled as he envisioned these daily vistas that were being so kindly shared with him by his new found friend.  And at night, before he went to bed, he thanked God for bringing Reggie into his life. For he wouldn't know what he would do without him.

Unbeknownst to the nursing staff, Reggie and Gary ended each day with a shared prayer from their common love of John Lennon.  Short and oh so very sweet, it was uttered with a hard fought reverence.! 

"Everything is going to Be OK in the END!  And if it isn't OK, than... IT ISN'T THE END!!"  

The next morning, several nurses came into Room 404 and they all started to cry.  Reggie had peacefully passed away during the night in his sleep.  They gently woke Gary to tell him the news.  It hit him like a tsunami of over whelming grief!  Reggie had given him back his HOPE.  He had single handedly relit the candle of JOY deep within his heart and soul, and now he was gone.

The rest of the day, the nursing staff cleared out all of Reggie's belongings and cleaned his side of the room.  That's when Gary tugged at one of the nurse's skirts.  “Would it be too much......if I could be moved over to the window where Reggie used to be?” he hesitantly asked.  To which the nurse slowly shook her head with a resounding YES!

Just as the sun was starting to set later that day, a team of orderlies came into Room 404 and slowly moved Gary's bed over to the other side of the room, next to the big bay window that had become the creation of newfound HOPE thanks to his blessed friend Reggie's daily assistance.   

When the orderlies had left the room, Gary gently raised his one elbow to slightly lift himself high enough to see outside the window's bay opening.  But his entire body became fright with utter confusion.  There was nothing more than a giant brick wall standing fewer than a hundred yards from the window's vista.  

But, how could this be, Gary thought.  Reggie had shared so many transcendent moments with him.  All from the majestic scenes he caught from outside the window's bay.! Gary immediately pressed the emergency button at the side of his bed.  A nurse came running into the room, nearly out of breath!  “Gary, what's wrong?” she inquired.

“I.....I......don't understand.  Did they just put this wall up?  And Reggie.  He used to peer out the window and tell me of the fantastic events just outside below.  But the only thing that I can see is a big ugly brick wall!!” Gary cried.  

The nurse slowly set down on the bed and grabbed Gary's frail hand.  “Reggie was blind Gary!  From an injury he suffered during the Korean War.  He was just offering you comfort the only way he knew how,” the nurse explained.  

Gary's eyes filled with tears as he remembered Reggie's attempts at conjuring  stories to keep his Faith alive! Because at times, that is all that He had!   

Gary passed away six months later.  But not before many days spent peering outside that exact same window, using his own IMAGINATION to create Magic and Miracles of his own.  He envisioned what Heaven would look like when his time was to come.   And of course, they all included being back with his friend Reggie................

3....2....1 ! TIME For Your LIFE to LIFT OFF..... !

  

In the Summer of 2003, my family and I traveled to the outskirts of St. Louis.  We have relatives who live there that we forged a special bond with when they lived three hours North of us in the suburbs of New Jersey.

In the 15 plus years since their eventual move to the Midwest, they had bought a cabin smack dab on the edge of the famous Ozark lakes. A few days after our arrival, we decided to rent a pontoon boat and head out into the well traversed waters already filled with a plethora of boats of all shapes and sizes. 

With a boat filled with over 10 enthusiastic family passengers, we set sail for an afternoon of watershed fun! Boy, did we get WAY more than we ever bargained for. (Note to SELF) Have an experienced boat navigator on board before even thinking about shimming your floating vessel out into very deep waters! 

That particular afternoon happened to have a near record setting amount of boats enjoying their weekend time of frolic filled fun! Little did we know that such a cacophony of water cruising causes Gi-normous wakes. They began to hammer our poor pontoon boat into something akin to an amusement park ride. I was at the very front of the boat catching the sun rays and amazing smells that  are conjured up during such a fortuitous day out in the middle of nature's magic. 

About an hour into our trip, I began to notice the boat starting to rock and roll as the waves began to grow into a formidable foe. As we tried to navigate the boat closer to shore to escape the constant pounding of punishing waves, I felt a very cold tingling sensation slowly creeping up my legs. I looked down to see that the front of the boat was quickly filling with water! 

I ushered my torso to get a glance of the back of the boat. Holy guacamole! It was nearly ten feet up in the air, taking many of my family members with it. Within seconds, I felt the water rising all around me as I desperately tried to climb to the back of the boat. Then the better part of my fight or flight instincts kicked in and I realized that I needed to jump out of the boat. And PRONTO! So I flipped myself over the pontoon's side rails quicker than a ferret striking back at its sneaky snake foe.  My 200 pounds of weight now having been released from the boats' bow caused the back of the fragile cruiser to drop back down into the water! 

"First one to shore, drinks are on me!" I shouted to the emotionally charged group still residing within the confines of the boat.  I , on the other hand found myself still shell shocked, wading by myself in the cold waters of the Ozark lake. 

Thankfully, we were eventually able to navigate the boat back to its home base. I was so blessed to have only a bruised leg to show from my efforts to keep our boat safely afloat. As I was washing the sand and water off my torso, I told everyone in our group to go ahead without me, because I was going to immediately start taking pontoon boat captain lessons!  LOL 


SUPERHEROES IN TRAINING TAKEAWAYS

Life is so very much about timing. It's not so much about what you do, but when you do it! Sometimes you will have to make "the jump" before you feel ready. Just as I did on the pontoon boat that day! Other times, you will be given the space to prepare before taking a leap of FAITH.

I was recently watching an episode of The Steve Harvey Show. Standing like a preacher of passion in front of this live studio audience, Steve began to give a rousing speech, “I'm going to tell you something that EVERY single successful person has to do.  Including you.  EVERY SUCCESSFUL PERSON IN THIS WORLD HAS TAKEN THE JUMP.  You have to take that gift, which comes packed away on your back, you have to jump off that cliff and pull that chord.  That gift opens up and provides the SOAR.  And if you don't use it, you are going to continue to get up everyday and just go to work.   And if you continue getting up every day going to a job that you hate,  THAT'S NOT LIVING.”   Preach Steve, PREACH!  

Steve has of course done this himself, and understands the challenges that are a natural part of the process.   His point especially fleshed out when he says, “If you want to live your life in a comfort zone, it will become your FAILURE ZONE. In order to become successful, you are going to have to become uncomfortable.  Do not sit here in fear, and let fear control your fate.  Because you won't go ANYWHERE.  I'm going to tell you something about the JUMP you need to know.  Jumping is scary.  When you first jump, your parachute is NOT going to open up right away.  I would love to tell you that it would. That when you leave your job, the parashute is not going to open right away.  It's not going to happen that way.  You are going to get some skin torn off you on the rocks during the way down.  At times it is going to feel like an uncontrollable tumble.  But let me tell you this, if you NEVER jump, your parachute will never open.  YOU WILL NEVER SOAR.  You will be safe, with your parachute still on your back.  All your skills and talents still packed away and you will never get cut up.  But if you NEVER take that jump, YOU WILL NEVER SOAR.  If you don't jump, I am going to tell you something.  You will never know. You may be the best at what you do, but you will NEVER know.  You have to jump, everybody has to take the jump.”  And I could't agree more.  One of my definitions of a SIN, is unfulfilled potential.

Steve began to cry as he spoke, the obvious experience of his own pain and challenges, and the courage it took for him to take that jump , and the sense of fulfilled purpose it brought  him was so evident without him saying a single word. Simply crying on stage said it all.  

This segment resonated with me on SO many levels that I started to tear up myself.  It took me decades to take the jump. I'll tell no lies. My life is still FAR from perfect. The ass kickings continue! Yet, I have absolutely no regrets, as each and every experience I was collecting along my Superhero's Journey was preparing me for this moment!  

With the precarious state of the world, including mass shootings and acts of random violence, destruction from climate change, and the more than still lingering effects of the coronavirus pandemic filling our lives and airwaves on a nearly daily basis, I have a theory.  And it is why I am so PASSIONATE about what I do as a coach and inspirational thought leader.  I truly believe, the quickest way to change the world is to help people Re-member why they are here.  As a collective consciousness WE HAVE LOST OUR PURPOSE.  And to fill the void of not taking the jump to fulfill the DESTINY that is part of our essence, we are chasing false idols, and quite frankly, have become truly lost.  From my own experience, I have learned that the ONLY thing that will permanently fulfill the longing in our hearts and souls, the void of disconnection from Spirit, is following our Divine Purpose.  That is what this blog is all about.  Inspiring all New Age Nerds to awaken and truly live their LEGACY.  Doing so is a spiritual balm that helps heal the deepest wounds and fractures in our own BEING and amongst one another.  

I know only too intimately how much a comfortable life may seem appealing.  But after a while, it leaves you with a deep feeling of unfulfilled potential. And that is when depression, anxiety, drugs, alcohol, and other self sabotaging behavior slowly start to creep into our experience.  AND it can sneak up on you if you aren't careful.  Trust me!!!

Please do not misunderstand me.  I am NOT saying everyone should up and leave their current jobs to pursue their dreams and follow their PURPOSE.  It takes vision, and a sound plan put in place first.  But at some point, it will be so critical to step up to the 'Edge of Life' and TAKE THE JUMP toward the very reason you manifested into the human condition!  And that, my friends, is when MIRACLES become commonplace and LOVE abounds!  And more importantly, the moment you truly commit to your purpose, the Universe will rush in and flood your experience with anything and everything you need to survive!   Now doesn't that sound like a life truly worth living?!

One thing I do know is that once you truly commit to a path in life, your guardian angels will swoop in to assist you in every manner possible. Just as they did by giving me the quick insight to jump off that damn boat before I was ready!    LOL

But I will ALWAYS embrace the times you were a true friend by loving me and never judging me when I didn't feel worthy at all......

I won't treat you any different based on how many degrees you have plastered on your walls....

But I will study how well you've learned by your previous missteps...

I may never know how many musical instruments you have mastered...

But can you make my SOUL SMILE through the song your heart plays in my presence....

I'm not interested in your favorite bedtime stories from a childhood past....

I want to know what stories you tell yourself about your

own purpose for 'BEING HERE NOW'....

I could care less about your current net worth....

No.....What I want to understand, is in what ways are you

WORTHY of your own SUFFERINGS....

I won't notice how fancy your 'dance moves' may be...

I want to know if you are courageous enough to 'Dance to the Beat of Your Own Drummer' even if it means being laughed at for being 'DIFFERENT'

And please do not bore me with how technologically savvy you fancy yourself to be....

Rather...I want to comprehend why you'd rather TEXT ....Then

pick up the phone and hear my voice say.."I MISS YOU..TONS!!"..

I'm not interested in how many 'Thank You' notes you've sent for all the amazing gifts you may have received...

I want you to tell me how many times you've said "THANK YOU FOR FORGIVING ME".. and still choosing to be my friend...Even AFTER your words or actions may have 'cut them to the bone'...

I will never be impressed by how much money you've earned, or even given away.....

I want to know how often you've shared your abundance of fears and frailties with others.....So they know they are NOT alone when confronted with theirs...

And I will not be offended by how many times you forget my Birthday...

For the only thing I DESIRE you to remember...Is how utterly PERFECT...  You already are.......

The TOP Ten HABITS Of The SUPER SUCCESSFUL.....!

 

As you might imagine, being a transformational life and leadership coach brings with it a great responsibility to research and investigate the latest findings and implementations of self realization work that is seemingly everywhere nowadays.  I try and put things into practice first before spreading them to my clients or unleashing the information on The New Age Nerd.  Another criteria I use before sharing information in this area of my calling is to see how it resonates deep within my Being.  Basic stuff really.  Does it make sense and is it practical to most people who make up my audience and client base.  

One thing I do believe with all my heart is that two of the most common traits of the highly successful and iconoclastic individuals amongst us is laser like focus, and keeping small daily habits that others simply do not do for a myriad of reasons.  

I read several books a month and am always taking diligent notes on criteria and hard fought wisdom from today's masters in the self transformational world. All to see what they have discovered and are currently implementing in their own life and the lives of their clients.  Having said that, I would like to introduce you to the Top Ten action steps that will create a Super Successful life!  It is my hope that you will incorporate as many of them as you can into your own daily regime to assist you in achieving desired goals and in turn the happiness you desire in life!

So are you ready for the list?  Great, cause here we go!

1.  HONOR YOUR BODY TEMPLE
Yes, we all know that this body is temporal. It is ours for a finite time. But is is also a precious gift.  That's why it is called the Body Temple.  It is sacred in that it houses our Soul while we are here. As the book God I Am declares, “There were billions of other Souls around the Universe vying for the ‘ticket to ride’ that was given to you!”  That's right, YOU are that Unique and Special.  Everyone here already won the lottery!  So while you are here, be grounded enough to care for the body which brought ya!


2.  DEVELOP A MIND-SET FOR SUCCESS
The foundation for your future happiness and blissful abundance in all its forms stems from having a mind-set for success.  Nothing of value happens overnight. So our mind-sets must be implemented for both the short and long term. The key to developing a Super Heroic Mind Set lies in shedding thoughts or feelings of self doubt, worthlessness, fear, anxiety, or the lack of self love. This means transcending any limiting beliefs about what is possible for you to create in your life. And feeding your SUBCONSCIOUS mind with expanded thinking that you are truly LIMITLESS! The sky is NOT your limit, but rather just the beginning! 

And please re-member that we have two minds. Both the conscious and the SUBCONSCIOUS. The conscious mind controls and intreprets our illusionary physical senses. It's master is the EGO! Its primary function is to keep us feeling small and less than. It creates the thoughts that keep us feeling separated from the ONE GOD MIND that is the loving source to Infinite Intelligence and our true essence.

The SUBCONSCIOUS mind is subordinate to you! It is the mind of your SOUL and works beyond time and space! It's the powerhouse of your Super Heroic Higher Self. And it is 1,000 times more powerful than our conscious mind. It is non verbal in nature. And responds only to our thoughts and emotions. Its arch nemesis is RESISTANCE! Meaning any thoughts, beliefs, or feelings of being less than the utterly perfect being that is your very spiritual essence. Those energetic offerings block any abundance from entering into your life experience. So it is our e-motions (energy in motion) and feelings that turbo charge the  vibration (frequency) of our SUBCONSCIOUS mind. Which in turn transforms our core thoughts and beliefs into their physical equivalent. Essentially, you can "Bend Reality" into nearly anything your imagination can fathom. If you can convince your SUBCONSCIOUS mind to see it and believe it is already in your possession, its very nature is to create and deliver it into your life experience! Sometimes it will come in the form of the action steps and plans in order to "collect" it. Other times, it will appear in pure tangible form. So the next time you receive an intuitive hit for an action step, act fast! It is the SUBCONSCIOUS mind, through the power of spiritual intuition, sending you this information to put into action, pronto!


3. Create a Consistent Morning Routine
If you wish to see "Big Changes" in your life, you must be willing to change things in a BIG WAY. My very first suggestion is to make your bed the moment you wake up. It's been scientifically proven that the "state of your bed" is the state of your head! 

I develop individually tailored morning routines for all of my coaching clients. Most of our morning routines are engulfed in stress, anxiety, and non present behaviors that do not set you up for a day filled with success!  Just the opposite actually. The first key to an empowering morning routine is to start the day doing things that life your SPIRIT. Listening  to inspiration music, or podcasts as an example.  Or perhaps taking ten or fifteen minutes to read from an inspiring book or blog (Hint, Hint)  LOL

My second suggestion is to incorporate daily morning affirmations into your routine. The Secret Sauce to daily affirmations is to say them in the present tense. And super charge them through your emotions. As though they are already happening in the NOW! 

Next, declare what you commit to BEING in the day to come. As an example, here is a list of my personal Morning Intentions:

TODAY I INTEND TO BE:

Filled with gratitude
Alive with Ferocity in all that I do
Radiating BLISS for myself and all others
Living as LOVE
Boundless with Compassion and Kindness
Steadfast in the KNOWINGNESS that through my MAGIC
Extraordinary Things will be made manifest 
In Alignment and in Allowance of all things That 
Serve the Highest Good of all concerned

Another wonderful Morning Mindset habit is to read aloud your "Pillars of Super Success." There are Six Pillars that will generally make up the foundation for lasting BLISS in your life. They are the following:

Your Calling
Financial Abundance
Your Health
Personal Relationships
Physical Appearance
Source of Income

I highly suggest you write these pillars down and develop each of them in written form.
Again, here are mine for reference points:

CALLING:
Using the Transformational Guidance through my brands under MARTINEZ CONSCIOUS MEDIA, I am assisting millions to uncover their hidden Super Heroic Higher Self. Thus unleashing their unique set of Super Powers into the world. Creating BLISS in all areas of their life as they find and fulfill their personal CALLING.  The byproduct being helping to change/save this world!

FINANCIAL ABUNDANCE:
An unlimited stream of abundant wealth is flooding into my daily experience.
Allowing me the freedom to live life on my terms. And have the discretionary income 
to give financial well being back those who need it.

HEALTH:
I am experiencing pain free living from a mental, physical, and spiritual standpoint.
My body stays dis-ease free forevermore.

RELATIONSHIPS:
A new Tribe of spiritually like minded, caring, supportive, authentic, and fun loving friendships and personal relationships are always a part of my sacred circle.

APPEARANCE:
My physical body is always becoming a grander version of itself.  That together with a joy filled heart keeps me with a youthful appearance. 

SOURCE OF INCOME:
Through MARTINEZ CONSCIOUS MEDIA, massive financial abundance floods into my life. In return, I pledge daily loving service to others through Coaching/Teaching/Blogging/Podcasting/Books/and Speaking

My last suggestion is to develop a daily morning visioning routine. Take just ten minutes every morning to do visioning exercises in which you close your eyes in a quiet environment. Then put your imagination to use. And do not put any limits on what you allow yourself to imagine in your mind's eye. Actually paint a mental picture of what your  Super Heroic Ideal Life would look like. But make sure to actually SEE YOURSELF in the mental picture. Smell, feel, see, and taste the picture as though it was literally already right in front of you. And then super charge the picture through the use of your e-motions. And please do not be afraid to let your freak flag fly during this process. For as I stated earlier, the SUBCONSCIOUS mind cannot determine between what is real and what is imagined. So the greater the e-motion you put behind this vision, the faster the SUBCONSCIOUS mind will get to work to make it become manifest in physical form!!

Then, after the ten minute time period, open your eyes and "pull that e-motion" out of your visioning process. And try and hold that energetic vibration the rest of your day. Don't be surprised how quickly the very thing you envisioned, or the plans to manifest it come flooding into your experience! Trust the process.  I can attest that it really works! Promise!  ;0)

4.  Start to delegate as many of your tasks as possible.
Time is the one thing that you cannot get back in this realm. So make sure you free up every possible minute when possible!


5.  Take decisive and immediate action.
So listen up you procrastinators.  The uber successful know that constant action changes things dramatically!  And I suggest you learn this as well......  ;0)

6.   Focus on being productive, not being just busy.

In his book, The 4-Hour Workweek, Tim Ferris says, “Slow down and remember this: Most things make no difference. Being busy is often a form of mental laziness – lazy thinking and indiscriminate action.” This is Ferris’ way of saying “work smarter, not harder,” which happens to be one of the most prevalent modern day personal development clichés. But like most clichés, there’s a great deal of truth to it, and few people actually adhere to it. Just take a quick look around. The busy outnumber the productive by a wide margin.        

7. Seek progress and not perfection
Seeking perfection will only cause you to freeze in your new "Nike Kicks." Seek progress instead of perfection. It will always serve your Highest Good!                                                          

8.  Work out of your comfort zone as often as possible!                                                  
Do at least one thing every week that truly scares you. Life begins at the end of your comfort zone. Trust me!

9.  Learn from your missteps.  
Many of us are handicapped from taking action steps because we are paralyzed from fearing thoughts that we may make a mistake and feel judged or embarrassed by our actions. Not to mention the albatross of pondering what others may think of us as a byproduct.  Sound familiar?!?  That's why I invite you to transcend your MISTAKES into MISSTEPS.  The decisions we make stem from our mind, our hearts, or both!  Everyone makes choices based on their past experiences, their belief systems, and their own personal values.  Re-member, we always choose what we believe is the best possible choice in any given situation.  The key is to direct our energy away from self judgment and back towards empowering declarations such as "What is the lesson?  How can I use this experience for my greater good?" And perhaps most importantly, what is the Universe trying to teach me in this moment of NOW?"  As Richard Bach said, "The events we bring upon ourselves and the manner in which we tackle them are necessary for us to learn.  Whatever steps we take, they are necessary to reach the places we've chosen to go." And as the great Joseph Campbell often espoused, "When ANY experience enters your personal experience, bless it! For it is EXACTLY what you need in that moment!"  Let that last sentence settle into your consciousness.  For I promise you that it will serve your highest good throughout your life experience!                      

10.  Start hanging out with people who support and inspire you and your dreams.  
It has been scientifically proven that you will be the exact aggregate of the five people who you spend the most time with. And that goes for every area of your life. So the one thing we have the most control over  is who we choose to keep in our inner circle. Based on that fact, I suggest you choose very wisely!

I believe this is a wonderful list of very easily implementable action steps we can all put into place in our daily routines!  I would love to hear your thoughts on other habits you have BE found to be productive in your own life!

MODERN MYTH MESSAGES : DAREDEVIL......!

 

Matt Murdock (The Daredevil) is having a heartfelt talk with a nun who he has discovered is his birthmother. They are reminiscing the life of the church's former head Pastor who was slain in cold blood in the basement of an old Catholic Church in Hell's Kitchen.

MATT: I was angry.  I would change that if I could.

SISTER MAGGIE: If God allowed that, there would be no future. Just people endlessly rewriting the past.

MATT: Yeah. I think he was trying to tell me that for a long time. His last words were, "Forgive us."
(forgive them for keeping the secret to who his birthmother really was)

SISTER MAGGIE: Do you think that's possible?

MATT: (Several contemplative beats) He told me something years ago when this happened that I never forgot.  (pointing to the sunglasses he wears to protect his blind eyes) You see I was pretty angry at God and bitter toward his world. How could a loving God blind me. Why?! Anyway, he told me, God's plan is like a beautiful tapestry. And the tragedy of being human is that we only get to see it from the back. With all the ragged threads and the muddy colors. We only get a hint of the true beauty that would be revealed if we could see the whole pattern on the other side. As God does. 
(Looks down at the ground as if to summon his own TRUTH)

MATT: And although people have died on my watch. People who shouldn't have. There are countless others who have lived. So, maybe it is all a part of God's plan.

Matt Murdock (The Daredevil) is a haunted SOUL. As a young boy, while trying to save a man from being hit by a car, his eyes were exposed to a canister of toxic liquid the caused him to lose his eyesight. Then his father was gunned down for refusing to 'take a fall' in a boxing match with tons of hush money on the proverbial line. Matt ended up being raised by a group of caring nuns in a Catholic orphanage in Hell's Kitchen. And it was within those hallowed halls that his own Superhero's Journey began!

His journey reminds us that everything happens "through you and for you." NOT TO YOU! See the big difference. I surely pray so because the shades within that subtle shift in understanding is but one of the greatest TRUTHS you will re-discover while on your path in this Earthly plane!

And once you re-member how to leverage that knowledge, your life will suddenly both ascend and then settle into a space of inner peace. For no longer will you wake up daily fretting 'what could go wrong today.'  In fact, you will re-member that 'right and wrong' do not even exist! Only that which does and does not serve you and all others. And you will begin to embrace everything that appears within your daily experiences as no thing less than a SOUL sent blessing from your own personal Wisdom Waiter! 

Think of life as a precious, multi layered jigsaw puzzle. We often start working on one particular area of the puzzle at any given period in time. Just as we are getting our perfectly imperfect 'Jigsaw Jam' on, WHAM, The Universe sends us a piece that is for the complete opposite side of where we were focusing our efforts! And more often than not we become stubborn and resolute in the way WE think things in our lives should play out. So staying stuck in our own personal convictions, continuing to build out the puzzle from where we have started it becomes our nominal norm.

And so we tend to ignore the puzzle piece sent special delivery from The Grand Creator. "I've been working my ass off on this puzzle God! I'm confused. Why are you sending me a piece that goes way over on the opposite side of where I'm building all my magical momentum?" So your inner monologue espouses.

But you have to re-member that THE ONE GOD MIND can see "the whole puzzle" already perfectly and pristinely finished in its glorious form! We tend to see things from a more limited perspective as we live out our daily experiences. Hopefully, now you can see the prescient power in learning to take a DEEP breathe and just RELAX! And then take a few steps back from wherever you currently find yourself to be. Each step will allow you to BE in a space of appreciation and GRATITUDE for the 'entire picture' that your jigsaw puzzle is slowly becoming! Just as THE GOD VOICE within you has seen it from the very beginning. Pretty rad, huh?! ;0) 

And the next time SOURCE throws you a piece of your personalized puzzle from "way over there," you will already BE in a state of pure ACCEPTANCE.  And be in allowance of it to grace your world with a form of loving reverence! For it came from a place of Universal KNOWINGNESS of exactly what you need in that given moment of NOW!

Creating a New Super Heroic Origin Story


One thing I do with all my coaching clients is have them write a new 'Super Heroic Origin Story.' With the intention of assisting them in transcending their past stories from a state of catabolic, victim consciousness, into an anabolic VICTORIOUSLY HEROIC energetic vibrational space! I highly suggest you try this incredibly transformational process too!

Literally start from your earliest memories and begin to write down the 'New Story of Your Life.'  But refrain from seeing these events from your past perspective.  The static stories we tell ourselves about our past become the coming attractions of what is still to come.  And unless you have already done the energetic clearing work on these traumatic pain points, I really don't think you desire THAT! Am I right? lol

While writing, concentrate on just how any past painful experiences in your life have actually proven to be blessings rather curses.  Start learning to ACCEPT them rather than reliving them in your mind.  Acceptance frees you to transcend these catabolic and disempowering based thoughts and start seeing them in a fresh state of GRATITUDE! (Just like the gift and miraculous blessing of my own father's abandonment)  In your writing, it is vital to transcend such limiting beliefs in a manner that you can actually begin to see your past challenges as no thing less than "Bliss Filled Gifts." That were soul sent as opportunities for you to heal, grow, and expand into the greatest version of yourself. Which benefits not only YOU, but the entire Universe!

Start 'connecting the dots' of your life.  Look for the pain filled patterns that keep showing up in your daily experiences. Continued situations imbued with lack in any form; yuperoo, right there is a great place to start! For that is proof positive of resistance still holding space within you. That's where you are still NOT in alignment with your Super Heroic Higher Self. TRUST! This will shine a light on the areas of trauma bonds that still need healing and tending to!  The blocks and trapped energy that is still awaiting you to release and transform it into your unique Super Powers. Once looked at through the lens of OPPORTUNITY, the things you once thought as misfortune will be seen as perfectly placed in your path to pull you back and then "Propel You Forward!"  If you are having great challenges doing this, stop and pray. Ask SPIRIT for guidance and wisdom to see the Truth behind your pain! Then quiet your mind and listen. You will be shown the answers.  PROMISE!  

You've suffered enough!  It's time for transcendence and TRANSFORMATION!  By creating a New Super Heroic Origin Story.  Start living from a state of Christ Consciousness and NOT  'Victim Consciousness.'  Because the past stories you have been programming your mind to believe, are powerful forms of RESISTANCE!  Resistance is the arch enemy of the Subconscious Mind.  The Powerhouse of our Abundance Making MIND Machine! And that is part of what is still blocking you from being able to manifest all your heartfelt desires.......

So look around you often.  Re-member your outer experiences are a direct reflection of your inner reality. So if you find yourself in a space of lack; be it financially, health wise, or in any other form, it is "proof in the pudding" that you have some blocks, limiting beliefs, or pain points and trauma bonds that still need to be addressed with non judgmental love and compassion.  For there is resistance somewhere within you that requires your immediate attention!  Just sayin'. ;0)

Commit to using this year to both create and live from your 'New State of KNOWINGNESS!' And just like 'The Daredevil,' begin to see with eyes no longer blind to the TRUTH!

Because if you knew just how POWERFUL you truly are, there is absolutely NOTHING you would be afraid of!!  And dreaming BIG would be your new mantra.........  And So It Is!

Is Your SOUL TRIBE STILL Waiting For Your Support.....!

 

During my time orchestrating various stints in Corporate America, I was fortunate enough to have a handful of ‘Business Buddhas’ show up along the way, usually when I started to get LOST in the accoutrements that accompany making lots of money.  Purpose, and callings, and journeys...‘Oh, My’!  More like Elton John singing...  “I've finally decided my future lies.... beyond the Yellow Brick Road!”  

One such spirited Soul and her wise ways appeared on my path just as I was truly starting to make real progress in TV advertising sales.  A potential vortex for sidestepping one's good intentions, all in the name of making your quarterly fiscal goal. In that world, “Coffee is truly for closers, baby!” and Gordon Gecko's run supreme.  I actually had a boss, when passing out our bi-monthly paychecks by hand, would start his cocky jaunt around the office by saying, "The goal of life, gentleman, is to have so many zeroes at the end of your paycheck, that the bank teller NEVER forgets to call you SIR!"  Not exactly an incubator for action and intention in the name of spiritual growth!  

Upon first encountering this bringer of the light, there was no mistaking that she walked to the beat of Spirit.  Even her last name, ‘Good’, imbued her sweet, soft nature and authentic demeanor.  The first time I walked into her office, I could feel an instant energy shift that was completely antithetical to the rest of the building.  Calm, caring, and centered, with whispers of service minded moxie.  Experiencing how she maintained her core vibration, no matter the level of corporate chaos outside her door, helped me truly put into perspective the power of practicing the notion to ‘BE THE SOURCE’.   Rather than complaining about what was lacking in spiritual based energy, she engaged her day as though one of her core job components was to BRING that type of feeling to all of us in the company!  

Over several years, we had numerous talks about Soul centered living, our spiritual passions and goals, and future plans for our Superhero's Journey.  Hers was an elixir of daily remembrance, and one that helped soften the daily blows that a career lived in the shadows of my True Path endured.  Like a daily slog of choosing the path most taken, over and over again. But it would actually take an impromptu chat, co-created long after our office visits ended, that forged a lasting imprint on my life.

In a previous post, I described my ‘Dark Knight of the Soul’, and it was during this period that I happened to be perusing Facebook one afternoon, trying to keep my mind off my current slate of life dilemmas.  I had never been a huge user of FB at that point, but was happily surprised to see her online and available for a live chat.  And boy oh boy did it feel ‘GOOD’ to connect.  LOL

As was usually the case, she kept the focus of our conversation on me, as we caught up on over four years of LIFE.  I told her of my continued plans to be a coach, writer, and inspirational speaker. All with the true desire to assist others in service.  Of course, it was basically a variation on the same speech I had perfected and practiced so many years earlier, in the comforting confines of her office.  The definition of insanity is doing the same thing again and again expecting a different result.  So to her, I must have seemed like a patient straight out of One Flew Over The Cookoo's Nest.  But thankfully, Nurse Hatchet she was not.

After letting my current ‘story’ come to its fitful end, she took a deep breathe.  And what came next was a TRUTH BOMB that stirred my Soul and bristled my heart with a new found knowingness.  

“Jeffrey”, she uttered, “you need to know something.  All the Souls you promised to help before your Spirit took human form are still waiting for you.”  Tears.....  more tears....  until.....  tears galore.  

Then, she continued.  “Anytime you feel stuck, or fearful, or filled with self doubt, remember, your SOUL TRIBE is still waiting for you to come and help them.  That alone will be enough to assist and motivate you on your path. Especially when your debts are high and your bank account continues to keep you tied to a career than was never meant for you. At least not permanently. Your Universal bank account is truly something special. It will continue to rise in conjunction with the people you are able to lovingly guide with the God given gifts specifically conjured in your divine name. ”

And you know what, those words stay with me daily, and really have helped me move past the immense loss, and pain, and self doubt that has occurred on my own Superhero's Journey.  In fact, in my darkest and loneliest moments, it is those words that continue to fuel and guide me towards my mission.  Please don't misconstrue my musings. Since ditching my own corporate career to pursue my CALLING, it has NOT always been easy. And there have been times in which debts have outnumbered the zeroes in my bank account. But, in those moments, WITHOUT FAIL, whenever I truly needed financial (or any form of support for that matter) it has shown up, usually in the most unimaginable ways. And now, after many years spent perfecting my spiritual based crafts, the Universe has put me in the perfect position to truly level up! I have all the financial means to finally start a podcast, finish writing my books, and begin the journey as an inspirational speaker.  

So today, I offer Mary Good's message to you. It doesn't matter what your own Superhero's or Heroine's Journey may currently look like, or eventually turn out to be. Please simply remember, especially when all seems LOST,  that those Souls you promised to serve with your PURPOSE are still waiting for you..............
