TIPS To Become FINANCIALLY ABUNDANT...!

I find it interesting how conflicted so many of us are about the energy surrounding MONEY. We get uncomfortable talking about it, or mentioning it.  Especially when we are in a group of others we do not know.  Many of us are even in a constant vibrational state of FEAR about not having enough of it, or worrying about losing what we do have.  My own father refused to talk about his personal finances with the family when he knew he was about to pass.  And it caused a great deal of tension and stress for my mother, who had to deal with the financial estate with little information to lean on after he transitioned.  And I'm not judging him for his reticence to discuss his financial matters.  Because it was all a part of his FINANCIAL BLUEPRINT.  We all have one, whether we are aware of it or not.  And NOT coming to terms with what your personal FINANCIAL BLUEPRINT is could be the biggest misstep you make in life.  

So what exactly is a FINANCIAL BLUEPRINT you ask? It is your core vibrational inner belief system about abundance.  And for most of us, it is first conceived in our childhood.  How many of your parents would repeat statements such as “Close the door.  The air is on and money doesn't grow on trees ya know!”  A great majority of us were brought up with the notion that money was scarce, hard to come by, and even harder to keep.  And we didn't even realize it!  And right then and there started our own personal energetic relationship with money and abundance.  

In T. Harv Eker's book ‘Secrets of The Millionaire Mind’ he says “It's simple, it's law, and you are NOT going to circumvent it.  It all comes down to this: if your subconscious “Financial Blueprint’  is not set for success, nothing you learn, nothing you know, and nothing you do will make much of a difference.”  He goes on to explain how he learned about his own relationship with money , “I examined my true beliefs and saw that even though I said I wanted to be rich, I had some deep rooted worries about it.  Mostly, I was afraid.  Afraid that I might fail, or worse, succeed and then lose it all.”

So Eker spent several years searching and investigating the true MINDSET of the rich.  And not just rich in terms of money, but in abundance in ALL its forms.  Health, love, money, and happiness.  And do you know what he discovered; THERE IS A SIMILAR ENERGETIC MINDSET THAT IS SHARED BY EVERYONE WHO LIVES A LIFE OF ABUNDANCE! And that frequency is what turbocharges our Subconscious Mind into action on our behalf.  Re-member, it is our Subconscious Mind that is an open gateway to SOURCE and Infinite Intelligence AT ALL TIMES!  And any form of resistance is the biggest enemy toward lowering the frequency and magic that the Subconscious Mind is capable of delivering to us!  

Eker eventually opened his own business and challenged his daily thoughts whenever they were not in complete alignment with abundance.  He had learned that it was his Subconscious Mind and the beliefs about abundance that had been his biggest obstacle toward obtaining and experiencing it in all its glory.  And you know what, if you are not living the life of abundance you desire, than chances are a great deal of  it has to do with the EXACT same thing. Your FINANCIAL BLUEPRINT isn't set for success.  And so the Subconscious Mind lowers it's energetic frequency and we, in turn, experience the level of abundance that matches our vibration.  You cannot fool the Universe.  Your outer experience perfectly mirrors your internal reality.  So check yourself before you rickety-wreck yourself...CAPICHE!

So how can you shift your inner beliefs toward an absolutely unshakable vibration of abundance in all its transformational shapes and forms. The first thing I would suggest is getting real with your mindset and the thoughts that are currently circulating within your noggin about abundance.  And I mean being compassionately honest with yourself. What are your feelings about your own self worth and value? Do you BELIEVE you are worthy of ‘having it all?’  Do you fear talking about or dealing with bills?  Are you afraid to ask your job for a salary that you are truly worth?  Is your belief system strong enough to leave your current job from the KNOWINGNESS there is another opportunity out there that will pay you what you are truly worth and value you the way you deserve?  The byproduct being more abundance than you ever imagined!  Enough to serve yourself and others!  

Stuart Wilde had an uber supercharged FINANCIAL BLUEPRINT!  As is shown in his famous quote, “The key to success to is to raise your own energy; when you do, people will naturally be attracted to you.  And when they show up, bill em!”  LOL

In fact, it has been scientifically proven it is actually your ‘inner workings’ about abundance that determines your financial state.  Did you you know, for instance, that study after study has proven that 90% of lottery winners are either broke or dead within five years of winning their lot. And it is because most of them did not work on their inner beliefs and mindset about abundance before their winning hand was dealt.  And so they were NOT ready to receive it.  

We all have a built in abundance ‘Thermostat’ that regulates our energetic frequency toward abundance.  And if yours is set to low, there is NO THING you can ever do that will allow you the prosperity you deserve!  And research has shown that over 80% of people will NEVER be financially free in the way they would truly desire. Moreover, that same 80% will never truly live a life of JOYFUL BLISS.  

One principle I want to share from Eker's book is the ‘Law of Both.’  He explains that poor people always think ‘either/or’ while those who live abundantly ALWAYS think BOTH. Meaning they find a way to not have to choose just one thing over another.  If they want to start a new business, they don't come at it from just the perspective of having to quit their current place of employment to begin a new adventure.  They find a way to keep money flowing through the door WHILE they build their new business.  They know there is a way to have BOTH in any circumstance!

I also love and have myself applied  his principle of ‘The Roots Create the Fruits.’
In it he explains, “Imagine a tree.  Let's suppose this tree represents the tree of life.  On this tree there are fruits.  In life our fruits are called our results.  So we look at the fruits (results) and we don't like them.  There aren't enough of them, they are too small, or they don't taste good.  So what do we tend to do.  Most of us put even more attention on the fruits, or our results.  But what is it that actually creates those fruits; it's the SEEDS and the roots that create the fruits.  It's what's under the ground that creates what's above the ground. It's what's invisible, that creates the visible.  So what does that mean?  It means if you want to change the fruits(results) you have to change the roots! If you want to change the visible you must first change the INVISIBLE.”

The roots he is referring to of course is our inner world.  Our beliefs.  Our core mindset about abundance and the way we truly FEEL about it.  One powerful suggestion in making a sizable shift in our inner beliefs is through filling our affirmations with declarations.  As us New Age Nerds are aware, an affirmation is a statement that something we desire is actually happening. And they can be amazing game changers when repeated often with conviction and emotion. However, if you REALLY want to up your FINANCIAL BLUEPRINT's core vibration, mix your affirmations with the energy of a declaration.  A declaration is a commitment toward ACTION!  As the saying goes, ‘Faith is belief mixed with action!’ And trust me, it is a potent universal combination!!  Give it a try.......

In closing, I want to reiterate that this post is NOT about just financial abundance.  There is enough GREED in this world that it is causing us all some major league problems.  The wonderful thing about your FINANCIAL BLUEPRINT is that it works on ALL forms of abundance.  Health, wealth, knowledge, wisdom, and happiness.  It is the same formula for manifesting more of all of these magnificent and JOYOUS experiences we came here to have and share!  May at least some of today's words assist you in living a life of true abundance in all its magnificent forms!  And even better, the more abundance we have, the more we have TO GIVE!

The IMPORTANCE Of FOLLOWING Your Personal YELLOW Brick ROAD..!

 

I am a huge fan of the television show Shark Tank.  It's so inspirational to see individuals, many of whom have sacrificed everything, create their own business to follow their Passion and Purpose in life.  It takes real chutzpah, especially in these already uncertain times, to throw such caution to the wind, stand apart from the crowd, and courageously say, "Here I am world.  It's time to shine my light!"  It's much safer to shrink back into darkness, let the 'Monkey Mind' loose, and live in the murkiness of what Emerson declared "the life of quiet desperation."  Trust me, I had shunned the calling of my own soul for YEARS, and it ain't a pretty path.  Just ask my family, friends, therapist; heck, I bet even my dogs would've chimed in saying such a long haul is less than 'Paw-fect'!

So why do we do it?  How come so many of us refuse to act on the yearning of our heart and Soul, preferring to trade our mental and physical well being for a healthy paycheck instead.  Because each of us is a unique emanation of Universal energy, our individual stories are just as special. I will, however, share parts of mine, in the hope  it may shed some understanding toward what you have or may STILL be going through.  

My two biggest passions in life are spiritual based self actualization and what I now call "The Power of Story".  I used to say the second was film or mass media, but I have come to acknowledge that the connection I truly had to those divine vessels was the authentic illumination of understanding they could represent.  These two delightful accoutrements of my soulful interest have taken me down an ...interesting...  path of possible life callings the last two decades.  You may need a map and a scoresheet to keep track, but here goes!  

I started my career as a television sports producer and writer for the now defunct George Michael Sports Machine on NBC out of Washington, DC. (NO, not THAT George Michael!)  This was way before ESPN and their nightly SportsCenter became a Sunday funday staple for millions.  I often got in trouble for turning in nightly scripts that were MUCH too long for a 7 minute sports broadcast.  But I couldn't help it.  Even then, I was much more intrigued by the Superhero's Journey of the athletes, even within the construct of a single game, than I was in just reporting rote stats.  So I was given a stint in front of the camera, as the weekend sports anchor for a station out near Baltimore, MD.  But 80 hour work weeks that eradicated any sense of a personal life put an end to that career track after three years.  But I knew I was onto something. I couldn't quite put my finger on it so early in my journey, but I sensed I was at least on a semblance of the right ‘playing field’.  Even after that exhausting experience, I still had an intense pull toward the world of media.  It was somehow in my DNA, and my heart pumped its essence through my veins.  So when I next received a call from a temp agency about a new TV show called 'Building America' based in the Washington, DC area  looking for a salesperson/producer hybrid,  I took the bait!  

Over the next few years I received my ‘MBA’ walking through the office doors of such high tech luminaries as Steve Case (AOL) and Larry Ellison(Oracle).  I was responsible for the launch of the West Coast version of the show on an ABC affiliate in San Francisco, California.  Our show was edited into three segments that each highlighted an up and coming high tech company in Silicon Valley.  This was in the mid-90's mind you, so it was an absolute fertile hotbed of companies that would go on to revolutionize the world.  I felt so lucky at the time to be in the middle of such trailblazing energy.  Just walking down the street, you could sense the excitement!  

But, at the end of each long day, I would come back to my apartment in San Mateo, and ....  sulk. The self judgement was off the charts.  I should have been ecstatic; a 25 year old living in San Fran mingling with the juggernauts and iconoclasts of the time. But something wasn't right.  And I knew it.  

Being so close to LA, the Myth making capital of the world, was tough.  I dreamed of writing screenplays, and telling stories that could emotionally move people to laughter and tears.  My self-conflicted ways were short-lived, as a rather large dispute between my boss and me ended with job loss and my ass back on a plane to DC.  Dejected, frustrated, and completely lost, my body became a petri dish of dis-ease, and I spent the greater part of the next two years in and out of hospitals having my entire colon removed from an extreme Crohn's flair-up.  Yeah, the next time you feel sorry for yourself, think about what life could be like if you spent it pooping in a bag tied to your hip!!  I'm not kidding!  Thank goodness for modern medicine, as I eventually had a resection of the first surgery performed that left me 'sans' colostomy bag!  WHEW!!  Let me just say wearing such a contraption does not have the ladies singing, "Some day....... my prince will come!"  Just sayin'.......    

As tough as that two year period may have been, it was also one of the greatest periods of my life. There is nothing like coming face to face with your own mortality in your mid 20's, to truly wake you up to something deeper.  In fact, it was during one particular long stint in the hospital that my true SPIRITUAL JOURNEY began.  One of my best friends came by for a visit and carried in his hand a copy of the book 'The Celestine Prophecy.'  Now at this point, I had not eaten food for almost 40 days, so of course my first initial thought was  “I wonder if I can eat it!!”  No, seriously...  lol

After a nice visit, he handed the book to me and said, "I think you are ready for this!"  Barry was the same friend, who in our early teens, was often told by me that he didn't have to worry about going to purgatory when he died, because I would pray for him.  Yes, I was a good Catholic boy then and he was Jewish.  Barry always knew that I had a deep seeded desire for spiritual growth, and the gesture was his way of showing me 'the way'.

That night I opened the book and......  something MAGICAL happened.  For perhaps the very first time in my life, I felt REAL CONNECTION.  The story that unfolded as I lavishly turned the pages felt like.....I WAS HOME!  And life would never be the same!

When I was finally well enough to leave the hospital ~and my colon~ behind, I drove straight to this enchanting place once called a book store~wink~.   I brought along that copy of the Celestine Prophecy with me and walked straight over to the help desk.  “Where can I find this particular book?,”  I asked with extreme anticipation.  The employee walked me over to the back section of the store and pointed.  I literally grabbed a shopping cart, wheeled it over to the bookcase, and started shoveling one book after another into the basket!  It was literally my version of FOLLOW THE YELLOW BRICK ROAD!!!

It would take me another TWENTY YEARS of starts and stops, (Including stints in NY, LA, and Atlanta) detours and YIELD signs, before I FINALLY hit absolute rock bottom and decided it was now my time to shine. And thus THE NEW AGE NERD was born!!  But boy at times did it hurt. I mean soul crushing, heart shattering pain!  Loss and trauma and failure, OH MY!  Such is the price we pay for a MIRACLE that is looking to be born.  As many women can attest, the birthing process is an arduous one.  Unfortunately, most of us will continue on our current path~~ until the pain of staying put exceeds the fear of the unknown.  

Let's keep it real- The Superhero's Journey is not for the faint of heart.  To hear the ringing from the Universal/Cosmic phone line and have the courage to pick it up and say "I am here, ready and willing!" takes real cajones.  No wonder it takes so long for many of us to take the leap.  It means stepping out of what you know, your proverbial comfort zone.  And, perhaps more scary than THAT, it means becoming VULNERABLE.  Letting others see who you really are. Petrifying stuff, right?  But one thing I know for sure is once you do answer that call, there is NO GOING BACK........  And, the feeling you do receive after the transformation toward your calling is one of the most DELECTABLE, soul enriching imaginable!

In future posts I will flesh out more of this story, but for now, may I suggest this; heed these words from Jesus the Christ.  "If you bring forth what is inside you, (Your Life Calling) what you bring forth will become your eternal salvation.  If you fail in bringing forth (Your Life Calling) what is inside you, it will slowly DESTROY you." 

Or, you just may end up with your colon in a jar!!  LOL

LEVEL Up Your LIFE Through GROUNDED SPIRITUALITY...!

I want to shed some light on the type of philosophy that the New Age Nerd adheres to with regard to all self actualization work- GROUNDED SPIRITUALITY.  Perhaps in a future incarnation,  I might come back with Pure Consciousness in tow, shedding all fear and disconnection.  But right now, I still have my moments.  Through the daily practice of grounded spirituality, I have become much more attuned to the nuances of being both Here and There.  And by that, I mean being connected to Spirit as often as possible, yet still allowing for the resonation of earthly illusions in my experience.  And that is why we are all here, right?!    To slay the proverbial ‘dragons’ along our path toward finding the Holy Grail of our Hero's/Heroine's Journey!  Kinda tough to do that when we refuse to acknowledge that ‘dragons’ even exist.   

Perhaps John Lennon said it best, "I believe in everything until its disproved.  So I believe in fairies..The myths..Dragons.  It ALL exists, even if only in your mind.  Who's to say that dreams and nightmares aren't as real as the HERE and NOW!"  Amen!

During my life, I have attended numerous churches of various denominations.  You name it, chances are I have investigated whether it was for me.  I have studied at a plethora of organizations from the East Coast to the West.  All searching for something that made sense, resonated deeply with my heart and soul, and that when put into practice, worked on a consistent basis.  In doing so, I think I was trying to create something that could help me better navigate this thing called life.  And guess what, on my journey I found out I wasn't the only who had come up with the term Grounded Spirituality.  There are several I am quite sure.    In fact, in a book I absolutely adore, and highly suggest anyone of this ilk read, called Soulshaping by Jeff Brown, he says, “...my philosophy of grounded spirituality started to concretize.  I call it Ascending with Both Feet on the Ground.  It is the idea that our ascension to heightened consciousness can ONLY be sustained it if is an embodied unfolding from the the ground up.”  What a terrific definition.  I believe we are meant to courageously engage the pain, emotions, challenges, as well as the joy, laughter, and LOVE we encounter in this Earthly Matrix of experience. 

He goes on to give more details of his journey and how he had a great lesson about spirituality from one of his mentors, the wonderful teacher Ram Dass.   After years of neglecting his body on his spiritual journey, he suffered a horrible stroke.  Pre-stroke, he preached that ‘we are not our body’.  A very common pronouncement in the realm of spiritualists.  His post-stroke experience, which he called FIERCE GRACE, shattered that notion.  This self named -stroke of good luck- grounded him as he later stated, “I came to appreciate, that as wonderful it is as a practice, ‘I am not of this body’ is only half the truth. The stroke brought me squarely in touch with the fact that, although I am certainly more than my body, I also am this body.”  Boy can I relate to that.  During my time with a colostomy bag, cleaning my own intestine several times a day, had anyone told me,  ‘You are not your body’, I would've flung poop at them like a chimp at the zoo!  I'm KIDDING....kinda!

So here are some of the basic tenets of how Grounded Spirituality has come to serve me and many other truth seekers I know.  But please always remember, that as a Course in Miracles states,  “There are many paths to God.”

1-  Feel Your FEELINGS and Emotions
When I first started to passionately engage this world of self actualization, it seemed as though there was this taboo like energy towards many common emotions like anger, and sadness.  Some of the practices I was learning about started feeling robotic in their teachings.  Not to mention unrealistic in trying to sustain a Zen like stature 100% of the time. I started to feel guilty to express or admit when profound vibrations of any emotion outside of LOVE would bubble up inside me. Worse still, I began to try and force others through their times of emotions by reframing, or spouting a newly learned spiritual epithet.  There is a funny story behind what got me to finally change my ways.  

There is a wonderful place called Agape in Los Angeles, which was attended by me and most of my like minded friends every Sunday for years.  Agape in Greek stands for unconditional love, and it is a true non-denominational Sanctuary of commiseration for those of us on this path toward Self.  During a weekend trip to Napa Valley, one of the friends in our group was going through the initial stages of divorce, and definitely having a boat filled size explosion of various emotions(Thank God for wine! lol)  Rather than allowing her to truly feel her grief, I started in with a reframing soliloquy that was sternly met with,  “I swear to God, Jeff, don't you dare try and F&ckin Agape me right now."  I didn't know whether to laugh or cry.   Although that line became a long lasting re-membrance in our group about giving each other the respect of our own emotional process, it also taught me a PROFOUND lesson.  I started to acknowledge the power of our feelings, and that NOT being in ALLOWANCE of them is doing yourself and others a great disservice.  

And ya know what?!   When I  started allowing myself to fully enter into my own emotions, for a given period of time, I usually came out the other side with a new perspective, or plan for moving forward.  I began to understand that feelings are one of the most powerful tools we have to assist us in navigating our unique path.  They are truly the ‘guide posts to the Soul’.   So rather than ‘Apape'ing’ myself or others, now I remember that repressed emotions are actually unrealized spiritual lessons.   Just DO NOT make a Broadway Show out of them.  Cause nobody wants to buy a ticket to an event that has outstayed its welcome!  


2-Honor Your Body
Yes, we all know that this body is temporal.  It is ours for a finite time.  But is is also a precious gift.  That's why it is called the Body Temple.  It is sacred in that in houses our Soul while we are here.  As the book God I Am declares, “There were billions of other Souls around the Universe vying for the ‘ticket to ride’ that was given to you!”  That's right, YOU are that Unique and Special.  Everyone here already won the lottery!  So while you are here, be grounded enough to care for the body which brought ya!

3- Don't Take Yourself Too Seriously
By this, more than anything else, I mean learn to laugh at yourself.  This field is filled with people who take themselves so seriously.  Lighten up!  We all make missteps, are infallible, and poop in our pants. (Or is that just me ?!  lol)  I have found that you will actually relate to more people with your story and message, when you can learn to laugh at yourself.  In fact, it is a proven fact that laughter has cured more illness than all the medication in the world combined!

4-  ACTION is Always Necessary
When the Secret first came on the scene with its teachings of The Law of Attraction, there was this huge ‘Wishful Thinking’ movement in the self realization world.  People actually started believing that they could simply sit on the sofa and think about money, and that checks would suddenly start appearing in their mailbox.  I believe it truly started doing damage to the real understanding of the Law of Attraction (The Law of Attraction is but one of several Universal principals by the way) and in my experience, caused a ton of frustration and disillusioned spirits in our community.  

Don't get me wrong, I am a BIG believer in the power of Universal Energy.  As Yoda says, “It's an energy field that is created by all living things.  Life creates it, makes it grow.  It surrounds us, binds us.”  And it is ALL powerful.  BUT, in this dense realm, it MUST be combined with ACTION in order to work.  And unfortunately, there is not enough re-membrance of the importance of taking daily actionable steps toward our goals.  You can think all day and night to align your energy fields with your desires until the cows come home, but if they are NOT backed by actionable steps toward your plan/goal/path, the ONLY person you will be making rich is your therapist.  Trust me!  

For more pragmatic advice about the proper use of The Law of Attraction, I highly suggest reading Beyond the Secret, by Dr. Lisa Love.   She has such a grounded way of explaining the Law's principles.  For instance, she suggests one use it to try and attract the qualities for keeping and using money responsibly, rather than just acquiring money in the first place.  Great stuff!

5-  Stop with The Shame Game

This is perhaps the 'secret sauce' toward maintaining a lasting vibration in the healthy use of Grounded Spirituality.  There is a large component of people I have encountered along my path who insist that EVERYTHING that finds its way into your personal experience, including illness, is a byproduct of something you did to create it.  Talk about a shame game.  Aye Dios Mio!!

Yes, a great deal of our experiences are indeed brought about through a combination of our thoughts, beliefs, AND actions, but WE DO NOT LIVE IN A VACUUM.  We each share this planet with billions of other souls. Don't ya think that sometimes, we just happen to be in someone else's path, and in the process receive their byproducts?  And the truth is, we can never really know what the exact cause of everything that happens in our life happens to be.  And I personally think we have much better things to do with our time than try and figure it all out anyway.  

My point is that in grounded spirituality, the shame game DOES NOT exist.  Rather than spend time on WHY something happened, we focus on HOW to show up to meet the challenge once it occurs.  We are not so much responsible FOR everything that happens to us, but WE ARE responsible TO IT.

For instance, rather than blaming myself for the Crohn's disease I was diagnosed with, I try to listen to my body, and care for it with compassion, proper food, exercise, and rest.  Further, in meditation, I ask for the Wisdom to understand how I can draw any benefits from the illness that was brought into my experience.  

I hope this gave you a richer understanding of GROUNDED SPIRITUALITY and how it can be used to assist you on your Superhero's Journey!

BE-lieve In YOU-rself...!

 

I believe with all my heart and Soul that we were each born with a Heart Song.  A certain vibration of energy that is uniquely ours. Nobody has ever carried this exact frequency and nobody  ever will.  For it is absolutely PERFECT!  It is 100% yours and yours alone to do with as you please.  

Think about how amazing that is to ponder.  Out of the billions and billions of people who have manifested on this planet, NOBODY has carried the melody, tempo, and harmonious magnificence that your precious HEART emits at all times!  

Just as penguins emit a unique sound that can ONLY be heard by their life partner, we too emit a level of energy that is meant to imprint and have affect on the perfect people, places and things that were meant to be brought into our experience at any given moment in time.  So what do you  think happens when we ‘play small’ or even worse, change our  Heart Song to please others or fit in with the masses.  I can come up with a few answers!  Chaos, discord, frustration, wrong partners, dysfunctional friends, bad clients to name just a few!  I'm sure you can come up with many more!

I am asked all the time how the power of manifestation works.  There are so many people who appear to be ‘doing the work’ of a spiritual practice, yet what continues to show up in their life never truly changes and utter frustration ensues. Sound familiar? I know I've been there...Lord have I been there....   :0)

One of the biggest questions for us all to ponder is exactly what is it that we are truly seeking in our lives.  And YES, I understand we all need basic human needs like clothes, food, shelter, and water. And it is our God given right to never be in lack of these essentials to life.  However, I am talking about what is your purpose?  Why are you here?  What is it that you are looking to manifest into your experience?  If the answer is anything less that to be of service to others in some way shape or form, through Love and Light, compassion, and the sharing of your super powers, than I suggest you take a serious look at a re-alignment of your priorities. And PLEASE do not misconstrue my words.  That DOES NOT MEAN that having material abundance in any form is a lower vibrational thought. For it is NOT.  But it is when those DESIRES come from a byproduct of service and assistance toward others that material abundance not only flows more freely into your experience, but does so with grace and beauty. Your thinking changes from “I Need” to “I Have.”  And the struggles of life cease to exist. That doesn't meant that life becomes easy, but your daily work morphs into daily play because your DOINGNESS comes from a SOURCE of your own individual HEART SONG.  

We are currently caught in a world of conformity.  And the hate and fear is consuming our collective consciousness because we are starting to lose identification with our own heart song.  And pain and suffering sets in as a 'Dark Night of the Soul.'  When this starts to happen, I suggest you take heed from the words of Agape founder Michael Beckwith who espouses, “If you knew this experience of life was to last forever, what quality would have to emerge to have peace of mind?”  This is when it is oh so crucial to turn the radio dial back to your unique channel and listen to the Number One hits of your own Soul!  And I bet some of your own top ten hits include LOVE, Peace, Joy, Compassion, and Wisdom!  Just sayin....    ;0)

And if we get caught up in the Soul Songs of the masses, we become misguided, like zombies from the Walking Dead, toward the illusions of fear that are threatening to morph our society into one of dissonance and decay.  And unless you know of a real life Darrel Dixon and Rick Grimes, I suggest you re-member how important it is to BE YOU!  ALWAYS!!

So much of what happens in our life comes from simply BEING YOU.  The authentic you.  The one who came here to bring wondrous miracles and amazing assistance to the world.  We are not so much attracting things into our life so much as we are radiating out who we really are deep within our core.  If we are radiating LOVE and compassion, then loving and compassionate people, places and things appear on our path. That's why it is so very important to be in alignment and acknowledgment of our own Yellow Brick Road and what we are spreading along its winding way!  

It takes a gi-normous amount of courage and strength to be our authentic selves. We all want to ‘fit in’ and feel as though we matter to our particular tribes.  Well guess what? It is that type of acceptance which will become a wonderful byproduct of remembering the truth that we all matter; greatly, MAGNIFICENTLY.  The Infinite Source that created each and every one of us touched you with an undeniable force of Love and Light that shines through you and for you. NO MATTER WHAT YOU DO!  And the most powerful and transformational thing we can do in every given moment of our lives is to be IN ALLOWANCE of the heart station that God knows so Divinely. So that Spirit can work its unfoldment of the unique wisdom, talents, and Inner Joy and Peace for both you and the world to share!  If you are internally tuned into a different channel or vibration with your Heart Song, than the Universe has its hands locked.  For it can ONLY work its MAGIC through YOUR INDIVIDUAL EMANATION of the delicious Heart Song that was placed within your Soul.

So now more than ever, it is very important to swing your Freak Flag, dance in the streets, sing without the music on. Anything and everything that is a part of that absolutely delightful authentic YOU! Because to THE ONE GOD MIND, that is the only music he wishes to hear............

MODERN MYTH MESSAGES: CLOAK AND DAGGER...!

 

"So why exactly are we so mesmerized by our favorite Hero's stories?! 

It's because they aren't about them. They are about us.

Myth is a mirror.  One we hold up to see ourSELVES more clearly. 
That is the catch twenty two of the human condition. The inability to see ourSELVES for who we are.  We can often only do it through someone else's eyes. And when we do, we may not like what they see. So as we watch the rise and fall of our Heroes, the question we ask should not be; will they be greater, can they ascend?  No. When the rubber hits the road, when that tire blows, the question we should ask is; will WE be greater, can we ascend?"

One powerful manner in which to assist you in uncovering your personal mind-set paradigm is through the lens of "Modern Myth." That's right. All those movies and TV shows you binge watch on Netflix and Amazon Prime will direct you straight toward what you truly BELIEVE!  For MYTH holds the DNA of our collective consciousness. It's actually the stories that we love and believe in that tell us so much about ourSELVES.  Throughout history they always have.  The Greeks built their entire empire around the mythology they created; as did the Roman Empire and the Egyptians. And the history books will one day show that our culture was also constructed within the confines of the stories we consumed so voraciously. That's why I truly believe this period in time will be known as "The Heroic Age." That's why every other movie that has graced our local silver screens for the past 15 years has been so SUPER HEROIC in nature.  

The Universe is currently desiring grand expansion. And that happens only through and as US! For WE are indeed the Universe expressing itself. At its core, energy expands the fastest through the transcendent power of LOVE.  And believe it or not, at the core of EVERY Super Hero story is LOVE. Think about it. Super Man and Lois Lane. Iron Man and Pepper Pots. The Hulk and the Black Widow. Batman and Rachel Dawes. Wonder Woman and Steve Trevor. Spiderman and Mary Jane. The list is endless!  

We watch these stories because they are our gateway into the realm of spiritual transformation. That's what The Hero's Journey is all about. Creating the grandest version you have ever held of yourSELF in your mind's eye. Deep down, we are slowly starting to awaken from our slumber. Our collective CALLINGS are ringing the doorbell; damn hard! The world is in need of its very own team of Avengers. Wouldn't you agree?!  

I like to call this team "The Legion Of Love." Yeah, that ALWAYS rings so true! How does it sound to you? Our own bodies are made up of loving sprites of sprinkling stardust. We came here filled with no thing but LOVE.  And then we learn FEAR. Boo! Part of the transformative process that occurs once we garner the courage to follow our own unique personal CALLING is remembering who we really are. We transcend the illusionary veil of egoic filled victim consciousness to the understanding we all have a Super Heroic Higher Self! We recall all of our Super Powers!  And, BAM, POW, CRUNCH! We learn to live within that space of pure powerful BLISS. We begin to gain control over our emotions.(emotion is energy in motion) Rather than them controlling us. Big difference. We start to remember that there is NO need to believe in magic. Because as Dorthy learned in the Wizard of Oz, all the magic lies within us. YOU ARE A MAGICAL, MIRACLE MAKIN MACHINE! All you have to do is learn to BELIEVE in yourSELF. Nothin' up my sleeve and then PRESTO.  A miracle is born. Right before your very own eyes. That's what all HEROES came here to do. BE creators of LOVE. Always and in always…….  

Life is really quite simple my New Age Nerds. Get up every day remembering you are NOT a victim of your current life situations. You are the grand creator of them. And your Super Heroic Higher Self is benefiting greatly from everything you have brought into your experience. All the pain, struggle, and strife is forging parts of you that will be needed in order to fulfill your own unique personal CALLING. Once you begin the process of transcending any thoughts of victim consciousness through the power of ACCEPTANCE, you can begin to live life from the perspective of complete GRATITUDE!   

You will begin to see how all the dots of your life connect together to create a masterpiece. Even if from up close it now feels quite the opposite. Take a deep breathe. And slowly begin to step back a few steps. You will start to see the perfection IN ALL OF IT! The cancer, divorce, fiscal troubles, painful losses; like the three wise men, they all come bearing great gifts. I PROMISE YOU THIS!  And I should know!  I was forged to become a Wounded Healer and spiritual teacher/coach through transcending: parental abandonment, sexual and physical abuse, Crohn's disease, Aynklosing Spondilits, deep depression, MRSA, complete materialistic loss, and COPD!  And while the path has been far from easy, it melted away all but the parts of me that form my Super Heroic Higher Self.  And I am now so grateful for all of it.  I wouldn't be here typing this very post were it NOT for each and every "opportunity for growth" that has manifested into my life.

My life coaching/consulting business is all about assisting people in fulfilling their Superhero's Journey. But I will be the first to admit, garnering the courage to follow your CALLING is much easier said that done. Let's be fully transparent; if it were that easy, we all would be doing it. Don't you agree?! As you might have ascertained, I have spent many years thinking about this stuff. Just sayin! And here is what I have incorporated into my own being as KNOWINGNESS so far!

We all have the exact same Purpose. And that is to spread Love and Inspiration to each and every person who we meet along our own Yellow Brick Road; all in the form of loving service. It is up for us to discover the manner and means in which we are meant to serve. And before I go any further, let me state something. This manner DOES NOT HAVE TO BE SOMETHING THAT WILL MAKE YOU RICH AND FAMOUS! Now it could bring you such accoutrements, but we live in a society that has made being famous "the creme de la creme of achievements." Aye dios mio! That's NOT why we manifested into the human condition folks. (neither is Netflix binging...lol) With such mind-sets is it any wonder why we find ourSELVES living in a world of pure peril...................

For all of life itself is a Superhero's Journey. An experience of radical spiritual transformation. In which the Universe expresses itself through and as US! The Grand Creator seeks to expand always and in all ways. It's the very nature of God herself. And as the late, legendary physicist Stephen Hawking discovered, "The boundary condition of the Universe....is that is has NO boundary." NO BOUNDARY and that means NO LIMITS! Meaning YOU have no limits either! Whoo hah! 

You chose to come here to carry out a CALLING that was Divinely Devised. You carry a divinity spark of pure SPIRIT that is 100% super heroic! Part Martin Luther King Jr., part Yoda, Wonder Woman, and Captain America, but all Christ Consciousness! By fulfilling your unique Mission, the byproduct is assisting and adding to the expansion of the Universe. Which ultimately means creating more heaping buckets of LOVE! The core component of all that is.......

The extraordinary spiritual teacher and master coach Martha Beck, in her book, 'Finding Your Way in a Wild New World," describes all of us SUPERHEROES this way:

"Most of us feel a sense of mission involving a major transformation in human experience; a strong sense that whatever that mission is, it's getting closer in time; a compulsion to master certain skills in preparation for this half-understood personal mission; high levels of empathy; an urgent desire to lessen the suffering of humans, animals, and plants; and a loneliness stemming from a sense of difference, despite being generally social. "

She calls this group of SUPERHEROES 'The Team.' I call us The Legion of Love!! If you would like to officially join this team, just let me know and your t-shirt and pin will be in the mail, pronto! ;0)

We aren't here so much to save the world as we are to love it back into the light! If you are here, now, it means you were 'tagged' by the Universe to discover and unleash your Super Heroic Higher Self on this planet! And you chose to accept this 'Mission Possible', because THAT IS WHAT SUPERHEROES DO! We seek the grandest of adventures. BLISS is our birthright! And we devour any chance to experience it in all its magnificence! When we are summoned into 'being of service', we don't walk, we eventually run toward our CALLING! 

As Joseph Campbell said, "It is miraculous. I even have a superstition that has grown on me as a result of invisible hands coming all the time- namely, that if you do follow your bliss you put yourself on a kind of track that has been there all the while, waiting for you, and the life that you ought to be living is the one you are living. When you can see that, you begin to meet people who are in the field of your bliss, and they open the doors to you. I say, follow your bliss and don't be afraid, and doors will open where you didn't know they were going to be." 

Our government is in complete turmoil, climate disruption is threatening our the vitality of our planet, the middle class is shrinking by the day, and fear and hate have created one of our country's, if not the world's, greatest periods of divided disconnection. And while there are many who have awoken from their slumber, still others are stuck in choosing spiritual sides. Either stay in the darkness, where its safe, or have the courage to be reborn into a new identity. That of a SUPERHERO! The SUPERHERO everyone came here to be! 

We become galvanized and fully aligned with our SOUL once remembering it's what we are BEING with our life that matters "oh so much." We then bring that being into our "daily doings." Meaning, you could be a doctor who has an arrogant demeanor about him. And treats others as though he is above them in many ways. Or you could be a teacher who treats everyone as though WE ARE ALL ONE. You tell me; which of the two do you think is being the better servant to mankind? Yeah, easy to discern, huh!

I also believe we are all WAY to caught up in what a given situation can GIVE TO US, rather than realizing that we are put into situations to give to them what we feel is missing! Novel idea isn't it. ;0) For instance, if you find yourself in a job where there is a lack of compassion, be the source of more compassion in every interaction you come across. Now let me say, I know this is easier said than done. However, the grass is rarely greener on the other side. Until we become content in some way with our current situation, we will never be happy in the next. BOOM! That is TRUTH my friends!

So if you are stuck in a job or situation that is less than ideal toward fulfilling your life's mission, make a plan. We have these things called nights and weekends in which we have time to work on changing our situation. I know it can be tough to use our free time on improving ourSELVES, but trust me, in the long run it will be worth it. As the old saying goes, ‘Opportunity knocked at the door, and when I answered hard work was on the other side!’ And that is just the way it goes. The ONLY difference between successful people and their sidekicks is that successful people are willing to do what others are not!

And if you have tons of free time but limited funds, perhaps start by getting a part time job. It will bring you some daily structure and contacts as well as line your pockets with some much needed dough to help pay the bills! Desperation leads to inspiration and that will assist in guiding you back toward discovering and fulfilling your life's mission! Again, neither path is right or wrong. And neither of them are EASY PEEZY! Life isn't meant to be easy. It's meant to be meaningful and filled with daily lessons to help us Re-member Who We Truly Are! 

One thing I do know is that once you truly commit to your life's CALLING, your angels will swoop in to assist you in every manner possible. If you have ever truly committed to something, you know exactly that of which I speak!

This World is currently calling forth all of its Superheroes. There is literally NO TIME TO WASTE! The unique Super Powers that were bestowed to each and everyone of us finally need to be UNLEASHED into the realm of our Collective Consciousness. After all, there has never been someone exactly like you to grace this planet! And there never will be again. That's how much you and the gifts you came to bear now matter! 

And so I am compassionately nudging all of my New Age Nerd tribe to finally answer the "Grand Call to Adventure" that awaits you all! It will only serve the purpose for which you came and help change/save this planet from extinction!! If that doesn't motivate you, nothing ever will!!
