5 THINGS All Super SUCCESSFUL People Do ..!!

One my own Super Hero Journey's toward self actualization first started coming off the heels of an 18 month recovery from SEVERE CROHN's disease.  I actually had the hospital priest tell my friends and family to say their good byes to me as I was oh so very close to passing away on more than one occasion.  Pretty serious stuff for a 27 year old to confront.  I have fleshed out that Journey in the very beginning posts of THE NEW AGE NERD BLOG, for those who care to learn more about that ordeal and how it shaped me and my life's CALLING!

When I was finally released from the hospital, there was no going back.  I simply could not live a 'surface' filled life any longer.  I mean, how in the hell could I.  I had just looked at my own mortality straight in the fucking eye and stared him down like the Wounded Warrior I later realized my trials and tribulations had transformed me into!  Because as I have stated time and time again, No Thing in life is ever wasted!!  Everything that you experience in this realm must be accepted as a precious gift.  And please do not think that I would immediately solicit that suggestion to someone who had just lost a loved one, or been the victim of a horrific tragedy such seems to be way to commonplace in our given times!  But after the process of accepting the pained suffering that has befallen them, take a close look at ALL the examples of people who have used their pain to fuel their passion and purpose!   Like a family I know in Austin , TX whose young son drowned in a local pool!  Absolutely as horrific and trying event as one can possibly perceive.  I prayed for them every day for a year.  But after they gave themselves the dignity of their own process, they started a foundation that educates parents on that friends and family members can incorporate a myriad of different types of precautionary examples to avoid such tragedies from happening to them.  And shifts in consciousness that turn 'pain into your passion and purpose' is perhaps the most INSPIRING way to shed a light on others who are still trying to find their way after experiencing a gut wrenching event and/or loss.............

So why am I starting today's post with all this seemingly disperate information.  Because life can be BRUTAL!  Even a spiritual teacher like myself cannot escape that truth!  That's why the self help industry is a MULTIBILLION dollar industry.  Because we are ALL trying to find a way to navigate this experience not denying our pain and missteps, but after learning from them, putting their BLESSONS(Lesson plus Blesson) into productive ways to make this life EVERYTHING it was always mean to be!  

Coming back to my first ignitions into this world of self realization, I Re-member thinking to myself, "Success must leave a trail, and I am going to dedicate myself to find out and follow that trail to see if it leads me to my own WIZARD OF OZ!! And ya know what, it has not only led me to him/her, it has assisted me in blowing past any form of limited belief or self sabotaging long term thoughts and actions that would deter me from fulfilling my own CALLING and MISSION that I was sent here to complete!!

And along my own 25 year Journey, I have had more than my own set of setbacks, heartbreaks, loss, pain, and suffering!  Because, hopefully you have come to understand that all of that is a necessary part of our own growth.   And without it, there is absolutely NO WAY we could complete our own individual CALLING!  I hope you are feeling me on this!!  Because in the some  3,500 pages I have written over the past four years, there is nothing I have ever written that is more aligned with Universal TRUTH than what I have just espoused!!  

So for those of you fellow NewAge Nerds who are still reading because you would like to know what the 5 Things All Super SUCCESSFUL people do, you are in luck, because here they are:

1:  All successful people understand the difference between wishful Thinking and using their Super Powers of putting their plans into ACTION!!  

Have you ever come across someone who is always espousing some deep rooted experience they so desperately desire to manifest into their life.  Yet year after year, nothing changes.  They still have these incredible sounding plans for making their dreams reality.  I know I have MANY people I know fall into this category.  And it can at times be rather gut wrenching to witness.  Because for a myriad of reasons, their dreams end up in the graveyard of misfit manifestations that will NEVER EVER come to fruition!  Action favors the BOLD and those who COMMIT to bringing their DREAMS into reality!   

2.  Successful people realize the importance of investing in themselves.  

They KNOW that investing time, energy, and money into their own growth will reward them ten fold!!  Unsuccessful people will come up with a hundred different excuses why investing in themselves is a bad bet!  Yet, eventually, they will only experience the exact opposite.  Because super successful people NEVER stop learning.  They never stop reading, taking classes, and surrounding themselves with others who can only enhance the skill sets they have already built!


3.  Successful people realize that there is no such thing as a free handout.  

They know that there is a fair payment that much be exchanged in this earthly realm with others in order to get what you desire.  

Instead, they: 1) understand that they have something important and valuable to offer in any situation, 2) are willing and happy to share something helpful in return for what they want, and 3) if they can't return the favor, they offer to pay it forward in meaningful ways to other individuals who are in need in the future. In short, they treat others exactly as they would hope to be treated. 

Successful people are respectful, resourceful, curious, competent, tenacious, and they figure out how to get the help they need without asking for handouts. That doesn’t mean they don’t seek assistance when and where they need it , or make use of the many free resources available to them (like Score.org, etc.). It means that they don’t expect something for nothing. They recognize their own value. They treat others equitably and fairly and know they deserve the same.

4.  Successful individuals realize that there ARE NO SUCH THINGS AS MISTAKES!!!  

They refuse to live in victim consciousness and truly believe things happen FOR them rather than TO THEM!  BIG DIFFERENCE!!  They aren't afraid to play BIG and know that every misstep they make in life is their greatest teacher! In fact, they embrace their daily missteps because they know that without them, they are not growing.  And even more importantly, they know that it is through their missteps that they gain the exact gifts, talents and skill sets that are absolutely needed to complete their life's CALLING!  So everyday they make sure to FACE THEIR FEARS!!  Because they know without hesitation that everything they desire in this life IS ON THE OTHER SIDE OF THEIR GREATEST FEARS!!

5.  The super successful understand the power of having healthy boundaries.  

To quote another on of Kathy Caprino's lovely quotes, "Successful people know what matters most to them – their priorities, values, concerns, and their mission and purpose."  

They develop a skill set that allows them to discern between what thoughts, beliefs, and actions are in alignment with what their CALLING on Earth is and never sway from those vibrational offerings!!  Because they are consciously aware that their root Purpose is BEING OF SERVICE!!

I'm sure my beloved group of New Age Nerds have many more attributes that lend a Light to what makes the Super Successful, well, forces to be reckoned with!  

But I truly believe this is a wonderful start to add to your daily arsenal toward becoming someone who both INSPIRES and reaches the heights of leaving a LASTING LEGACY for all of us to share......

The FIVE Most POWERFUL Words In The Universe ARE...?

From the time we are born until  we make our transition back into pure SPIRIT, we each have a once in a lifetime opportunity to fulfill our life's mission.  By finding and developing our unique talents and gifts (SUPERPOWERS) to change the very vibration on this planet!  From fear and hate, back to unadulterated love. Please understand that the particular energetic pattern that dominates the MATRIX of experiences on this planet is a once in a lifetime ticket to ride!
If you were born and awoken to be a part of this communal experiment, it is because YOU decided that slowing down your own vibration to a paradigm of dense BEINGNESS so that you could  completely forget Who You Are and Why You Came here with the trust that it would be brought back into your consciousness it is because you were ready to be an explorer of TIME AND SPACE!!

For this planet offers an experience that is absolutely UNIQUE in that there is no other opportunity amongst the entire COSMOS that allows for one individual SOUL to forget that they are an emanation of pure Spirit, and Infinite Intelligence! So many of you may be asking why on Earth would any conscious SOUL decide to enter into this vibration when there is sooooo much that could interfere with the Re-membrance of Who They Are!  

And that is a question that only YOU can determine through prayer, and communion with SPIRIT!!
That is a declaration that I can only be of assurance that you came here with a clear sense of the Purpose and Calling that resonated DEEPLY within your SOUL!!!  Depending on your level of Re-memberance, you may or may not yet recall the exact set of life circumstances that you and your Spirit Guides designed for yourselves as EXACTLY what you needed to experience before coming into the dense world of planet EARTH!   And BLESSED be that we each are given the same opportunity to design the exact set of circumstances,  so that we can UNLEASH the set of PARADIGM shifting gifts that will play a part in the grandest collective set of energetic vibrational shifts to raise the collective consciousness on this planet!!  

And with that context now in place, I would like to get back to the title and purpose of this post.  Which is WHAT ARE THE FIVE MOST POWERFUL WORDS IN THE UNIVERSE?!?
Does anyone know the answer to this posing question?!?   No cheating with GOOGLE!?!?  LOL

The answer is not as magical as you may think!  However it is a time tested litmus test that has not changed in over the last three thousand years........    So without further adieu.............
The answer is LET ME TELL YOU A STORY!!!!  And for those of you who will call me out with, 'I call Bullshit', I understand.   However, I have the scientific proof behind my answer that hasn't changed during the last 3 thousand years.  That's right non believers!  For even during the time of our fellow ancestors, the caveman, they used the power of the nightly fire and the primitive drawings that we have unearthed on the caves that prove our ancestors very existence and the proof of the very stories that they used on a daily basis to assist in drawing PURPOSE for their very reason of BEING!!!  Even three thousand years ago, the POWER OF "LET ME TELL YOU A STORY" was used as a way to help the communal TRIBE to make sense of the beyond challenging daily tasks that were absolutely essential for basic survival!!  And even more importantly, the PURPOSE behind these menial daily assignments, because of the STORY that was emotionally engrained in their consciousness, were the engine of motivation that kept them dedicated toward keeping their TRIBE thriving!!   Not just surviving!!

For just as the author and spiritual LUMINARY Victor Frankel so prominently declared, our life only starts to make sense, when we understand the meaning for our SUFFERING!!  And the manner that our primitive ancestors discovered to help create meaning for our suffering on this planet was through the Power of Story!!   

The most effective way of INSPIRING, influencing, and educating others focused attention has never really changed in over a Milllenium!! And that is through the POWER OF STORY!!

Even the contemporary master's of INFLUENCE continue to espouse that there is No Thing that comes even a close second to the Power of STORY!!    The Power of Story has created the most lasting paradigm shifts of how the vibrational energy on this planet creates an understanding of universal consciousness that has ever existed!!

Perhaps the most effective manner in which this truth can be communicated is through the power of MODERN MYTH!!

So this evening as I write this post, I ask you......     What is the verse that you would like your life's Story to contribute to the collective consciousness of this WORLD?!??   As Albert Einstein so eloquently professed, there is but one question that we all must decide for ourselves.  And that question is simply, "Is the UNIVERSE a compassionate entity or 
not?!"

My answer is a resounding YES!! The UNIVERSE in which we all contribute a verse of Love, compassion, and understanding is beyond pure perfection!!  It is filled with wonder, miracles, and unexpected surprises!!  And it is my heartfelt wish that in time, you BELIEVE in the same VISION...........Our individual STORIES matter.  They contribute to the collective conscious fabric of the story that shares the secrets of the UNIVERSE that is a unique emanation of each and every SOUL who had the COURAGE to share a verse of the collective whole of our BEING within this vibrational consciousness!!!  And to Each and Everyone of those Courageous and Precious Souls I salute you with a a resounding THANK YOU!!!!

Now life in this realm is NOT a process that is as easy as I am professing!! Not even close.....It is a pure PROCESS of Allowance  and even more importantly ACCEPTANCE!!     Not living through the paradigm of ACCEPTANCE is living through EGO!!  As if YOU KNOW WHAT BEST SERVES You!!  The EGO always DESIRES you playing SMALL by keeping your vibration of separation.....rather than being in connection to SOURCE....

If you are having a problem with accepting something....think back to a time when something occurred that you were unable to Accept .... and it ended up turning into a BLESSON (a Lesson that was also a Blessing).....and use THAT as a place of Vibrational Resonance to assist you in Re-membering tht everything happens Through you and For You....NOT to You...


And then Ask Yourself.....     what is it costing me...  to refuse ACCEPTANCE regarding this or any other moment that has manifested in my experience....?!?!?!??

AND WHAT WOULD BE THE BENEFIT OF ALLOWING MYSELF TO ACCEPT THIS OR ANY OTHER EXPERIENCE IN MY LIFE?!?!?

If you are STILL having trouble with ACCEPTANCE in any area of your life...In what ways can you allow these events to reside within you in a more PEACEFUL manner until they can be healed with the support of you TRIBE.......?!?!?

How To CRUSH Your Fears With COMMANDER COURAGE...!

In the Matt Damon film "We Bought A Zoo", his character Benjamin Mee's life is a complete disaster.    His wife has passed away and his son has been expelled from school.  In what appears to be an impetuous decision, Benjamin decides to quit his job and move his family to the Southern California country side to buy a large property with a dilapidated Zoo on its premises.  Not exactly a sound moment of well planned clarity to say the least.  And to complicate his mounting issues, the Zoo is in desperate need of a full renovation in order to survive an impending shutdown by the local state ordinances.  While his daughter is thrilled at the prospect of a renovation, his son is sullen, despondent, and completely reticent to this project.  

While Damon is aware that the daunting task of running a Zoo is beyond the scope of his skill sets, he is equally conscious of the need to reconnect with his children.  After all, it's quite a jolt to the Spirit to lose your mother and then be removed from your comfort zone with the daunting task of returning a Zoo to its former glory!  In an attempt to 'rally his troops', Benjamin brings his kids to a restaurant and reenacts the very moment that he first laid eyes on the angelic beauty that would later become the love of his life! 

"So, I was walking by, and I saw her and I literally stopped.  Like this.  Just stopped!  And I went 'Oh my god, that is literally the most beautiful woman I have ever seen in my entire life.  But I had never done anything like this.  I had never gone to talk to a total stranger before.  So I thought to myself, 20 seconds.   Right! Go!  Now I'm in the restaurant.   I'm terrified and I'm thinking about leaving.  I can actually touch her.  She is right there. She still hasn't seen me.  But I still have 15 seconds of courage left.  Bravery!  Here is what I said.  I said, 'Excuse me.  Why would an amazing woman like you even talk to someone like me?  And she warmly answered, "Why not?" 

As much as Benjamin was trying to instill a sense of COURAGE and Bravery to his kids, his short soliloquy was actually just as much for him.  Completely overwhelmed and bogged down by the pressures of running a business that stretched his sensibilities, he was in need of a boost of COURAGE just as much as his family.  

And in that moment, he supplied both himself and his kids with a powerful life lesson!  Just 20 seconds of COURAGE can create Miracles; and start to Crush Your Fears!!  As it had for him those many years ago.  And guess what?  You can apply the same principle in your own life. Think back to how many times, had you been able to muster just 20 seconds of COURAGE, your life might be much different than it is right now!  It truly causes one to pause, doesn't it?!?  

HEROES IN TRAINING TIPS

1.  The first step toward infusing yourself with COURAGE is SELF LOVE.  Practice reprogramming your Mindset toward the re-membrance that you are a perfect emanation of the Grand Creator.  Whose very essence is pure LOVE!  And SELF LOVE is the foundation upon which a Mindset of COURAGE and Self Confidence is constructed!    So it is absolutely vital that we learn to quell any thoughts that are not in alignment with this TRUTH.   Including any notion of self doubt, worthlessness, fear of failure, or letting others opinions curb you from stepping out of your comfort zone.  For life truly begins where our comfort zone ends!  Whenever these feelings burst into our thought patterns, it is a direct sign that we are disconnected from our Higher Self.  The very nature of our true being!   And that disconnection is our arch enemy called the EGO!  Whose dastardly dealings are intent on keeping us feeling small and insignificant.   This disconnection leads to depression, despair and loneliness, for we feel we are navigating our lives all by ourselves.  When the truth is we are being supported in every way possible for us to fulfill our unique CALLING and live and share a life of pure BLISS!!

The great late teacher Wayne Dyer had a conversation with Abraham, the embodyment of master Source energy.  In one potent exchange, Abraham professes, "And when you get control of your own vibration, the first thing that happens is your sense of self-worth comes into place- because the entire Universe is assisting you.  You feel clarity, and everything works out.  It's like a concierge leading you everywhere you want to go.  There are no missteps.  Things no longer feel difficult.  In fact, things that at one time felt difficult often feel humorous to you."

The lesson here is to learn to trust more in the LOVE SOURCE that surrounds you at all times, and worry less. It is the guiding presence that provides us with COURAGE, strength, intuition, and the inner knowingness that this energy source is available for us to access at any time!!  It's your personal 'genie in a bottle.'  As Gabby Bernstein says, "Worry is a constant prayer for CHAOS!"  And that is a recipe for a life of confusion and the lack of  abundance that is your very birthright!   Yet we often conjure feelings of being poor.  When you were born wealthy!!  Can I get an AMEN!!   ;0)

Many of our challenges with SELF LOVE stem from the trauma we have endured.  Whether from family member, friends, or authority figures.   Many have been showered with abusive forms of mental, physical, and/or sexual experiences that have never been fully healed.  And the result is a Mindset filled with thoughts of not being good enough or lovable.  So is it any wonder that we have a growing epidemic of depression and anxiety?!  (Please refer back to my post on Creating a New Origin Story from January 13th to assist you in transcending your trauma)

2.  Call forth CAPTAIN COURAGE!!  He/she is a divine part of your Super Heroic Higher Self.  And requires only your absolute BELIEF in her!  And CAPTAIN COURAGE will appear faster than a speeding bullet if you mix that belief with positive emotion.  For emotion is Energy in Action.  It amplifies his 'daring do' on your behalf!  And together, your Fears do not stand a chance in holding you back from anything you wish to accomplish!

3.  Incorporate the '20 SECOND RULE'!  Just as Matt Damon's character Benjamin did in 'We Bought A Zoo'!  Re-member, you are a Miracle Making Machine!  And mustering up just 20 Seconds of Courage at the right time can change your life from mediocre to MAGNIFICENT!!  I highly suggest you incorporate this potent practice into your life the very next time the opportunity arises.  

4.  Use the SELF CONFIDENCE FORMULA devised from none other than one of my personal Heroes, Napoleon Hill.  

FIRST: I know that I have the ability to achieve the object of my definite purpose, therefore I demand of myself persistent, aggressive and continuous action toward its attainment.
SECOND: I realize that the dominating thoughts of my mind eventually reproduce themselves in outward bodily action, and gradually transform themselves into physical reality.  Therefore I will concentrate my mindful thirty minutes daily upon the task of thinking of the person I intend to be by creating a mental picture of this person and then transforming that picture into reality through practical service.

5.   Once you have practiced calling upon Captain Courage, tag team with her potent power to make Friends with Fear!  As they say, there is strength in numbers.  And just like an unruly steed, use your tandem COURAGE to tame Fear into submission.  Learn to see Fear as a gift in that it shows you the areas within that still need to be cultivated and improved upon!  It is perhaps the most powerful manner of spiritual transformation toward gaining the wisdom you will need to fulfill you CALLING!


Now even friends have feuds!  If your Inner Critic is filling you with stifling Fear, do not be afraid to look it steely in the eyes!  Actually intimidate it, if just for a beat or two.  Re-membering that it is still a precious gift,  but not letting it turn the tables to stop you from doing anything.

By incorporating these tips into your self growth practices, I believe you will see your levels of COURAGE increase dramatically.  Providing you with a much needed boost of self confidence and the fortitude to follow your heartfelt desires!

BE SUPER HEROIC

Why PUTTING Yourself FIRST Is Such A POWERFUL Virtue...!

Back in the Fall of 2002, I was still settling into my new home in Los Angeles, CA.  While my physical body was firmly planted on the Left Coast, my heart was somewhere else.  And it had been for the previous 12 years.  The owner of what I believe to be a prized possession happened to be my best friend since college.  Living in a co-ed dormitory, her room was directly across the hall from mine.  And to say we become 'fast friends' would be doing injustice to the term!  She was a highly decorated athlete, absolutely gorgeous, and goofy as all get out.(just like me) She became my everyday partner in crimes of both the heartfelt and hilarious kinds!  

It didn't take much time for my feelings to heighten beyond being 'best buds.' But rather than giving me the key to her heart, I was bestowed with a permanent pass to the dreaded Friend Zone!  OUCH!!  And that is where I stayed for the next decade.  Sure, I dated other young ladies, but as Woody Allen said, "The heart wants what it wants."  And mine was no different.  So there I patiently stood, on the 'Sidelines of Smittenness'  for what seemed like an eternity.  On a quick side note, I have since deemed such amorous devotion 'BRAVEHEART LOVE," from the movie of the same name.   In which Mel Gibson's character receives the affectionate gesture of a single, handpicked flower from a young girl at his father's burial.  Twenty years later, he returns from his Hero's Journey and seeks out the attention of this dainty darling.  On their first date, he pulls out the exact same pristine flower, pressed caringly upon a hand made cloth.  And in a returned gesture of his alluring affection, gives the flower so gently wrapped and cared for, back to its original owner.  And THAT, my fellow New Age Nerds is what Braveheart Love is ALL about!  Back to original programming.............   ;0)

After college, we remained like 'peas and carrots' in similar Forrest Gump fashion! Over the next few years,  I reluctantly shepered her through a few relationships and we made sure to see each other on several occasions.  But deep down, I knew that my heart was not benefitting from its captive state,  by someone who didn't feel the same pangs for me.  Yet, my predicament was made even tougher by the fact she was still my very best friend.  And to give up that type of connection in any form is brutal!  And so I dug in with all my might.  Maybe, just maybe, her feelings would change, I often thought.  So I took advantage of every opportunity to meet, in the hopes that cupid's arrow would FINALLY make its mark!  

So in the fall of 2002, the San Francisco Giants were playing in the World Series.  Our birthdays are exactly 10 days apart in October, during which time baseball's top two teams battle it out for the world championship.   Being huge baseball fans, we decided to take advantage of this synchronicity and meet up in San Fran for a weekend of fun-tastic (yeah, it's a word  lol) thrills by attending the World Series!  

The week leading to the trip up north, my heart raced with anticipation.  Could this be it?!  The moment where we would connect on another level?!  It just seemed like a fairy tail setting and potential true story that could be told for years to come!  

I decided on driving the six hours to the 'City by the Bay' and pick her up at the airport.  As she stepped through the gates, my heart began to pound!  She looked better than ever!  Divine timing, I thought.  This is going to be perfecto!!  Yet, as we drove to the hotel to check in, she began talking about the guy she had just been dating.  A Hall of Fame football player no less!  No, I am NOT kidding.  REALLY?!?  How in the hell do I compete with THAT!! 

My stomach started to become upset and all my excitement quickly turned to dread.  "Get it together, Jeff." I thought.  But my mind kept racing with images of her and her beau.  It was getting more challenging to stay present by the minute.  And we were just at the start of a three day weekend together.  This isn't the way it was supposed to go!  At least not the way I had played it in my head a thousand times over!  I decided the only way to survive the weekend was to go into full on self protection mode.  

We cleaned up at the hotel and then went out to dinner.  I became emotionally distant, trying my damn best to keep my emotions in check.  But as the night progressed, I became ever more challenged with the notion of being in the presence of someone I was in love with, but who saw me through a much different lens.  Beyond painful!  Utterly gut wrenching!!  And it was when we were making our way back to the hotel for the night, when I made a decision.  I was going to leave the next morning and head back to LA!  

Once at the hotel, we rented a pay per view movie before turning off the lights for the evening.  Needless to say, I didn't sleep a wink!  How could I?!?  In just a few hours, I was going to leave my best friend in the city by herself, on her Birthday weekend!   With tickets to the World Series to boot!  I shuttered to think about telling her of my plans the next morning.  My mind went into full on 'Cray Cray' mode!  Playing out every conceivable manner in which this thing was about to go down!

It was then I remembered one of my favorite passages from the book 'Conversations With God.'  The quote basically stated to ALWAYS do what is in YOUR best interest.  Having FAITH that in doing so, it will also BE the best decision for everyone else involved!  Basically, by serving your SELF, you will also BE in service of those around you.  I ruminated on that passage until dawn.  At which point I gently woke my friend up and told her the truth!  I pulled no punches.  As you can imagine, it was not received well.   To be fair to her, that is quite a jolt to be bombarded with on what was supposed to be the start of a Birthday filled jamboree.  Still, I knew deep down in my heart and soul that it was the right thing to do.  This 'situation' had been taking a horrible toll on me for years, and it was time to cut the ties.  At least for a while.

My friend went to her car as I left to pay the bill for the rest of her hotel stay.  She brought back a bevy of birthday gifts and planted them tersely in my arms.  I began to cry as I watched her walk away.  "What had I just done?!"  "Who does that to a friend," I thought!  It took just about everything in my emotional tank to make it back to my SUV.  Before I started the car's engine, I closed my eyes and said a prayer.  I prayed to God that I was putting my full FAITH into that passage from 'Conversations With God.'  I was honoring my SELF, and in doing so, it would serve my best friend as much as it did me!  Amen!

This was just before cell phones had really come into fashion, so it was just me and my thoughts on the long, six hour drive back down to LA.  I tried to concentrate on being proud of myself.  For having the strength to actually care for my own emotional well being!  After the abandonment of my father as a young child, I had developed a pattern of 'if they need, me they won't leave me.'  As well as putting others needs in front of my own.  Ask me how well that was working for me?!?  Yeah!  NOT SO MUCH!  LOL

After pulling back into my LA carport, my thoughts moved to what might be on the home answering machine?!  I shuttered to think of the possible vitriol she might have left there! And as I entered my apartment, I saw the answering machine light blinking in a rapid fire procession.  Oh, boy!  Here we go!  I pushed the button and started to listen to the several messages on the recorders tape.  And while the first few were anger filled rants (again, completely understandable given my actions), the last one was........   a MIRACLE!

After me leaving, my friend found out there was an event dealer ticket exchange right across the street from the hotel.  So she decided to sell my tickets.  While waiting in line, she was approached by a great looking young man who had spotted her just as he entered the building.  My friend was a sports anchor in her city and he instantly recognized her from watching the local news sports casts!  They both lived in the same town!  She began to tell him the story of what had just occurred, and he was the perfect cure-all!  He happened to have tickets to the World Series as well, and told her to sell all the tickets in her possession.  He had extra tickets to the game and wanted her to be his guest, RIGHT BEHIND HOME PLATE!!  She ended up making a tidy sum selling back her tickets, and had found the perfect 'Heartbreak Hero'  to spend her Birthday weekend with!   I KID YOU NOT!! 

I later found out she had the time of her life that weekend with her new found friend!  And she actually sat next to THE Billy Chrystal during the game!  Truth, my dear amigos, is truly more far out than fiction, wouldn't ya say?!?!   

I know that weekend still holds a myriad of magical filled moments for my friend, and continues to remind me the importance of SELF LOVE and COMPASSION!  As for our relationship nearly 20 years later; I can say we are good, supportive friends.  She is in a very loving relationship and has built a small empire of a Soul Centered business that reaches millions of children around the world!!  Although we do not see each other much, our friendship will be eternally connected through our loving admiration for one another...................    


SUPERHEROES IN TRAINING TAKEAWAY

The moral of my story is fairly straightforward, but intrinsically powerful when put into action.  We are often told that putting ourselves first is selfish.  And while I do not believe in absolutes, this notion of self love being Egotistical does much more harm than good!
The greatest relationship you will EVER have is the one with yourself!  Many of us who come from trauma based childhoods, where LOVE was in short supply, if available at all, tend to be the hardest on ourselves.  The story called, 'Not Good Enough' is on permanent replay in our heads!  So we struggle in search of a balm to heal the hole within our hearts.  The LOVE to make us feel whole and wanted.  Usually at the cost of our emotional, physical, and spiritual demise!  

Please re-member that you can only have with another what you first have with yourself.  ALWAYS!!  If you ever feel you must prove your worth to someone else, it may be time to rethink the relationship.  For YOU ARE PRICELESS!  

Developing the SUPER HEROIC HABIT of putting your needs first, not only serves your Highest Good, but also the Highest Good of everyone else in your life!  As my story hopefully proves..
And how can it not?! For we are ALL ONE!  What you do for yourself, you do for another.  And vice versa.  

The key is to always make sure that your decisions are rooted in pure intention!  With the good of  your Super Heroic Higher Self in mind!  Actions based in pure Ego, such as greed and elitism, serve nobody but yourself!  But when you make a decision that is bathed from the Spirit, it will always SERVE US ALL!!

Why AWFUL Things Happen To GOOD People..?

Yesterday morning, I was incredibly INSPIRED by a speech given by Joel Osteen.  I must profess I do not watch his show religiously, but as I was switching channels this day, the moment I turned to his program, he was espousing the importance of looking for the blessings that come with most of our daily burdens.  And of course being The New Age Nerd that I AM, I was hooked!  So much of what he was saying resonated at a deeply profound level for me.  Much of it because of how it correlated very closely with the core vibration of this site, that being The Hero's/Heroine's Journey.  And the fact that NO THING that comes into your experience is a coincidence.  Be it illness, loss, betrayal, as well as the many wonderful and amazing things that we co-create each and everyday.  It is all a part of the DIVINE'S way of supporting us on our true path. It does not mean that these experiences and emotions are easy. In fact, some of them can feel downright painful, and cause us to question what the hell is going on in our lives. Some of us get hit so hard, and in so many ways (often all at once), that we start to lose our faith. That is why his message was such a powerful infusion of Re-membrance for me and I am sure many others. 

Mr. Osteen told some powerful and humorous stories about his own life. And the manner in which some quite challenging personal events forced him to face his biggest fears. Many of them becoming the most magnificent BLESSINGS he has yet to experience.  For instance, his father was a pastor who actually started the church with his family.  Joel was much younger then and was quite introverted and shy.  He much preferred to stay behind the scenes and help his family by serving the church away from the pulpit's spotlight. Until his father suddenly passed away.  And in the middle of his heavy grief, he had a huge decision to make.  In order for the church to continue, he knew he would have to take the lead and become the church's head pastor.  Something that scared the ‘HELL’ out of him.   But he decided to put his entire faith in Spirit. And so the following Sunday, he gathered (was given by Spirit) the courage and strength to grab the microphone for the very fist time, and get on the pulpit to carry forth the work that his father had started so many years before.  And as we all now know, Joel is now one of the most beloved spiritual teachers currently on this planet!  He has inspired millions of people to live the Greatest Version of the Grandest Vision ever held of themselves.  Now that is a transcendent example of turing a burden into a blessing.  Not only for himself, but for the world!

It also brought to mind a powerful story from the life of Napoleon Hill, who is one of the founding fathers of modern day self actualization work.  Of all of the magnificent stories he has shared through his many books, none is near as powerful as the story of his second son in his seminal tomb ‘Think And Grow Rich.’  You see, Napoleon Blair Hill was born without any physical signs of ears.  From birth, all his doctors proclaimed that due to his physical deformities, he would live a life being both deaf and mute. A devastating declaration for any parent! However, Napoleon Hill was a true Bringer of the Light.  He made a vow the very day those doctors told them their opinion, that his son would indeed learn to hear and speak!  He has said his steely determination came from a famous quote attributed to transcendentalist Ralph Waldo Emerson, who profoundly stated, “The whole course of things goes to teach us faith. We need only obey.  There is guidance for each of us, and by lowly listening, we shall hear the right words.”

To help demonstrate the power of DESIRE, in the second chapter of his book, he outlined his plan to assist his son toward his goal:

Napoleon's plan included:

• renewing his own daily pledge for Blair's wholeness;
• imparting his burning desire to Blair;
• not teaching sign language to Blair;
• mainstreaming Blair's education instead of sending him to a school for the deaf;
• creating bedtime stories for Blair with themes "designed to develop in him self-reliance, imagination, and a keen desire to hear and to be normal" as well as to establish the belief that"his affliction was not a liability, but an asset of great value"

Through the use of several techniques, Napoleon started gaining some progress, as Blair slowly began to hear vibrations and even music if played loud enough.  Hill was able to incorporate his own famous declaration that “every adversity brings with it the equal seed of opportunity,” through the example of teaching his own son how to hear.  

Blair not only made it through a basic education, but later excelled at the University of West Virginia.  After graduation, he reluctantly traveled to New York to meet with a company who had heard about his story. They had been developing a hearing aid device inspired by Blair's own deep desire to help himself and others with auditory disabilities.  But so many former attempts of introducing such devices into this market had never found their mark.  But little did he know his own Hero's Journey was beginning anew!

This new device actually worked tremendously and allowed Blair to hear clearly for the first time in his life.  So excited and now doggedly determined to use his father's philosophy of  turning burdens into blessings, he asked the company that designed the device if he could work on its marketing plan.  His goal was to “render useful service.... to bring hope and practical relief to thousands of deafened people who, without his help, would have been doomed forever to deaf mutism.”

Blair spent a great portion of the remaining of his life on his mission.  And DID INDEED help millions of hearing impaired individuals all around the world to live new lives through the use of this magical hearing aide device! 

Blair Hill's faith, coupled with the unshakable belief and LOVE of his father, turned misfortunate into a MIRACLE! One that has magically improved the lives of millions of people. It is such an inspirational testament to the power God places within our pain. For while our suffering may at times appear to be arbitrary, this story proves that is far from the truth. Pain is simply a part of the "HEAVENLY HERO MAKING MACHINE" that our Grand Creator has put into place to forge miracles for us and through us. NEVER to us! Please always re-member that distinction. 

And the next time you feel less than, unlovable, unworthy, or simply are lost in you own darkness, re-member that you are a Superhero. Just being here is proof positive of that. Because not everyone who was asked to come here said YES. In fact, the majority said NO. 
Not because any of them are less than in there own making, but because this earthly experience is very dense for the soul. And at times can be quite painful. Some would even say BRUTAL! Growth and expansion at this speed often requires strokes of pain as the catalyst for the birthing process of miracles to occur within this realm.  So please be super proud of the fact that when confronted with the choice to make a lasting difference in a world that is in desperate need of superheroes, you did not back down from the challenge! And that in itself makes you a Legend in Training!

Through the moon lit night....
A single Path is now shown...
Dare I step onto its glowful glare...
For the destination is unknown...

I ask Spirit for Guidance and Strength...
As I take my first move into the Night...
Heavy are the thoughts of my mind...
An internal struggle to hide my Fright...

It is then that I Re-member...
That when our Journey is at its end....
We all forge a path and must go alone....
To those before me, much Love do I send.....

Night swept Fog now blinds my way....
A silent whisper like none before....
Asks for my utter Belief and Trust...
As I traverse this foreign shore..

My sight still betrays me...
Tho I surrender to this special voice...
And brave this dreamlike vision...
For I've learned the power of choice ...

We have many gifts to light our darkness..
Yet still so many lose their will...
Giving way to all their lifelong pain...
Shouting to heaven a powerful shrill....

Perhaps this night's Journey....
Will show me that our pain is power...
Perhaps forgotten along the way...
Inspiring others with this night's swept shower...

Is this the Purpose for my dreamlike state...
To assist in my Re-membering of why I came...
A Steward of conscious spiritual Light...
Teaching others that our Path we can reframe....

As I start the process of Knowingness...
The path ahead begins to clear....
My Hero's Journey illuminates this path...
And leaves me No Thing to Fear.....

MODERN MYTH MESSAGES : STRANGER THINGS SEASON 3..!

Stranger Things is a story about a group of closer then close adolescent friends set in the mid 80's. They live in the unassuming town of Hawkings, Indiana, battling supernatural forces that threaten to destroy not only their beloved town, but the entire planet. While the larger stakes of total world annihilation is always looming in the engrossing narrative, it's the smaller moments of true emotional love and connection that drives this absolutely engrossing Netflix show past its recent rivals. As is profoundly represented in this love letter from an adopted father to his "SUPERHERO" daughter"


Police Chief Hopper, to Eleven (his step daughter SuperHero in a letter he wrote before his death): I know this is a difficult conversation but I care about you both very much and I know that you care about each other very much and that’s why it’s important that we set these boundaries moving forward so we can build an environment where we all feel comfortable, trusted and open to sharing our feelings. The truth is for so long I’d forgotten what those even were. I’ve been stuck in one place, in a cave you might say, a deep dark cave. And then I left some Eggos out in the woods and you came into my life. For the first time in a long time, I started to feel things again. I started to feel happy. But lately, I guess I’ve been feeling distant from you, like you’re pulling away from me or something. I miss playing board games every night, making triple decker Eggo extravaganzas at sunrise, watching westerns together before we doze off. But I know you’re getting older, growing, changing, and I guess, if I’m being really honest, that’s what scares me. I don’t want things to change. So I think maybe that’s why I came in here, to maybe try and stop that change. To turn back the clock, to make things go back to how they were. But I know that’s naïve. It’s just not how life works. It’s moving, always moving, whether you like it or not. And yeah, sometimes it’s painful. Sometimes it’s sad. And sometimes it’s surprising, happy. So you know what? Keep on growing up, kid. Don’t let me stop you. Make mistakes, learn from them and when life hurts you – because it will – remember the hurt. The hurt is good. It means you’re out of that cave. But please, if you don’t mind, for the sake of your poor old dad, keep the door open three inches.(referring to the burgeoning relationship between his adopted daughter and her new boyfriend, Mike.

During my four decades on this planet, I have come to experience many disparate experiences. Heaps of joy, happiness, glory, enlightenment, and yes, PAIN! 
I used to sit and wonder about the "purpose of pain." There seems to be so much of it circulating the planet. And if allowed, can simultaneously numb our collective senses and cause us to "look away" from its ugly undercurrents if we choose to engage it in such a manner. Or, it can be both a magical gateway towards the strength of our collective SPIRITS and the uncovering of our ability to both forgive ourSELVES and all others. Pain assists us to melt away any notion of "separation" as we lean into the powerful notion of complete acceptance to ALL THAT IS! The Super Heroic notion that absolutely No Thing happens "to you" but rather "for you." Such a challenging conception, especially when the bills are high and the chips are low! I get it!  Trust you me, I get it!  True transparency- I have  had a long haired man knock at my door in the twilight of the evening to "discuss" a financial obligation. Never truly frightening until they call out your name from the other side of the well sealed apartment door! Just sayin'! ;0)

If we could just somehow always re-member that each and every moment of this Universal gift called life is not permanent. But rather a transitory experience that is in constant movement toward the HIGHEST GOOD FOR ALL CONCERNED. Oh how it would shift our individual perspectives from the FEAR of making mistakes, toward the understanding that MISTAKES ARE A COMPLETE FALACY! Life is so favorably rigged in your favor. Like 100%! (Please read that sentence again, and again!) With the complete knowingness that we are each perfect emanations of GOD, than how could we possible make a "mistake." While "missteps" are crucial and a very important part of our growth, there is no mistaking our daily faux paus are simply learning opportunities. GOD DOES NOT MAKE MISTAKES.....  Capiche!!

Most of our pain comes from unhealed TRAUMA. Collected hurtful events in our lives that have found a resting place within our spiritual space to continue wrecking havoc in all our present moments; not to mention most of our personal relationships. The list of such events are many; the emotional absence of a parent, sexual and/or physical abuse, the scarring of emotional bullying, being forced to "play" the role of an adult figure way before that duty is usually called upon, the mocking of somehow being "different" from the collective whole (i.e. skin that shimmers in less than a bright, white hue - not to mention being gay, lesbian, or transgender) Yes, I know I need more than one hand to count the number of sovereign ships that have left my personal port due to unhealed personal trauma. I have tended to keep keep the "soul filled ships" God has sent my way far at bay. All in the hopes that they will never see the parts of me that still need healing from Love and Light that my own personal Trauma's are still fragile to the touch. 

That's why in my blog I constantly refer to PAIN as the "perfect professor." Listen, I'm not saying that confronting our traumatic suffering and the pain that is the residue of its manifestation is easy. Quite the opposite my New Age Nerds!
That's why so few of us go down that path. It takes the courage of a SOUL whose pain of NOT engaging its deep traumatic pain is greater than staying stagnant in a purgatory of constant chaos and unwanted life experiences on many levels! And the frustrating re-living of the same patterns of experiences and relationships such reticent actions produce! It seems the exact same people and places continue to "show up" like a never ending Fun House that lacks any notion of the word "fun."

Just as police Chief Hopper tried to imbue to his step daughter in Stranger Things, hiding from our PAIN IS NEVER the answer! It means you are still hesitant to trusting all the emotions that spring from this experience called Life! Which will often bring with it various forms of pain and suffering. In fact, the quicker you realize that "Pain is your Friend," the faster your suffering will disperse into the "Eternal Wisdom" of why it came. It's true purpose for being!! The Universe arrives no joy from anyone's suffering. Only in the Universal understanding that is a byproduct of your healing. The whispers of Wisdom that come from a life lived with courage and free from FEAR! So your own SOUL can expand into the birthright of its eternal birthright! Further expanding the Universe into the growth it so greatly desires. From our current 3rd Dimension into the Collective Consciousness of the 5th Dimension. 

I've said it many times and I will say it again. EVERYONE IS A SUPERHERO! Every single SPIRIT on this planet was bestowed with a unique set of Super Powers that are to be used as a loving force for good! I will NEVER stop my own personal MISSION of helping this world and every SOUL who chose to take refuge here in this Re-membrance. You are far more powerful than you currently imagine! Believe it or not, kindness, compassionate, intuition, joy, and LOVE are far more powerful than you may know! 

You have a unique, individual CALLING that only your set of Super Powers can fulfill! And this CALLING was a promise you agreed to upon manifesting into human form. One that will be needed to save this planet from the path of destruction it currently faces. This is absolutely NO JOKE! I strongly suggest you take it seriously. 

It takes a simple subscription to your local cable channel to see the cacophony of brutal fires, current hurricanes (Barry), juxtaposed with a lack of rain to grow much needed food crops, and earthquakes that threaten our very way of life! Just this week, Southern California was hammered with an earthquake that has top scientists pondering the chances of "the Big One" completely devastating the surrounding area with an ever growing possibility that surmizes the most pragmatic of Vegas Gamblers! Scary stuff indeed!

I share this information NOT to scare you. I promise! But it is meant to shaken each and everyone of you out of your collective slumber!  It's all so that you realize the important part you each play in the continued health and well being of this planet.

Too many of us have Super Powers that are lying dormant within our being. Because we have allowed our EGO to become the compass toward our sense of eternal happiness. And No Thing could be farther form the truth of what constitutes SOULFUL BLISS! Which is what every Spirit on this planet desires.

If our current political administration is oblivious to the brick wall we are heading towards (which they are) then it is up to the SuperHeroes of this planet to wake up, and shower the planet with the magnificent gifts that supercede the current greed, short term pleasures of individualistic materialism, and reframing of basic human rights and dignity for ALL that plague our very way of being! And creating Heaven on Earth! Which is the very purpose we all share! 

This evening, my prayer is that we allow the deep pain and suffering that any soul residing on this planet may find the hope and light to keep their soul afloat during this time of turmoil and deep disconnection from the Unity that is the very essence of our Collective Consciousness....

AMEN!
